How do I know if the tool I want is available?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools you can rent. You can also call first to inquire about a tool, or visit our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or contact our Rental Center associates to find where that tool may be available. Can I rent a tool for an hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and bigger jobs are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw blades come with saw rentals?
Yes, saw rentals usually come with blades, but we recommend that you purchase your own. You probably won't get a sharp saw blade that comes with your rental. However, you may luck out and receive an excellent blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, it's smart to buy a suitable blade, just in case.
