How do I know if I can rent the tool I want?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools you can rent. You can also call first to inquire about a tool, or visit our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or contact our Rental Center associates to discover where that tool may be available. For more on tool rentals, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent tools by the hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs can also be accomodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw blades come with wet saw rentals?
Yes, saw rentals typically come with blades, but we recommend that you get your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you might get lucky and have a sharpened blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, it's smart to buy a suitable blade in case you need it.
