The Home Depot Rental Center at Arlington

Jump into your home improvement job with confidence and the best tools. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Arlington fill in the gaps in your toolbelt with the tools you don't have at home. Rent a tool and return it when you're done. If it makes sense to have those rental tools around all the time, ask about purchasing used tools. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.

Insulation
For a more energy-efficient home, upgrade your insulation. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated well. Help keep your heating and cooling bills under control with new insulation that maintains your home's temperature.

Tame the Bushes and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw, and the sidewalks and driveway with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers in no time.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you're renting a large tool but don't have room in your vehicle, we can help with that too. Check out our Load 'N Go rental vehicles and rent a truck. Don't take up room in the driveway with an old pickup for the rare occasion of hauling items. Just rent a moving truck and keep your driveway open for grilling, hopscotch, or a game of catch.

To get tools and transportation for your DIY or moving project, check out The Home Depot Tool and Truck Rental Center in Arlington. Renting the right tools for the job makes a difference. We're here to help you get that project finished.

How do I rent tools or trucks?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You can also visit our truck rental or tool rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more details on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent a tool for an hour?

Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and major projects are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the month, day, or week, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When can I bring the tools back?

It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a few hours?

Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the provided documentation before choosing your van.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
