How do I rent a Load N' Go truck or a tool?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before choosing a van.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
