How do I rent a tool?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools you can rent. You can also call first to confirm a tool's availability, or check out our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or contact our Rental Center associates to discover where that tool may be available. Can I rent a tool for a week?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do power saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, saw rentals usually come with blades, but we recommend that you purchase your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you might get lucky and have a sharpened blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case.
