When you're beginning to leap into a big home improvement job, you might not have the specialty tools you need in a garage or shed. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot League City Tool Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options expand your toolbox with the precise tools you need to complete your project. It's not practical to invest in a specialty tool when you're not using it frequently. When you're looking for a new tool, do a trial run before you select which one to buy. Whatever your situation, we have the power tools you're looking for.
Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw, and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Ladders and Scaffolding
Gorgeous springtime days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Make surfaces look new again with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, ladder rentals for painting fences, or scaffolding rentals for painting a house or shed, we have what you need.
Truck Rental
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep flatbed trucks as well as Penske moving trucks ready for rental. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's simple to make us your go-to source for transport and moving as well.
Whether you're searching for everyday tools, specialty saws, or industry-specific equipment, we've got you covered. We'll even rent you the vehicle to transport it to your home or project site. Let us help you complete your home improvement project with the perfect tools and transport for the project.
How do I rent a tool or moving truck?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You could also read our truck rental or tool rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your favorite store. For more details on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a truck or moving van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before selecting a van.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
