How does truck rental work?
Stop by the Vero Beach Rental Center to see what trucks or vans you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go moving truck, pickup truck, or flatbed truck. Penske moving truck rentals and moving vans have different rules. You can also read our truck rental page to see if the vehicle you need is in stock at your store.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the provided documentation before choosing a vehicle.
Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
