Can I rent a van?

If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go moving truck, pickup truck, or flatbed truck. Penske moving van rentals and moving trucks have different rules. You might also check out our truck rental page to see if what you need is in stock at your store.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract before choosing your truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
