Does ok, wish it was more convenient
What an ugly color! What were they thinking, looks kind of like a traffic cone! Anyway, it isn't going to be left out of the closet much, so I guess it doesn't matter. Hope it cleans better than it looks.
The rollout cord worked well but the rewind could be a problem if you don't slow down the return with your hand or something. I got whacked on the hand the first time I rewound the cord. The expletive I shouted was definitely not "Eureka!". It comes back fast and

the cord whips around a lot. The rewind button is right where you are most likely to get hit and you can't take the hand off or the cord will stop rewinding.
The assembly instructions were fairly clear but I did get stuck for a short while when I failed to turn the unit to the other side
I used this vacuum on a carpet in my house that had been vacuumed a day before with my elderly Hoover "Breath Easy". The amount of dust and dirt in the cup was impressive especially after the prior cleaning. So this one works better than the 20 year old Hoover. The level of suction for the cleaning tools was noticeably stronger than the older vacuum also. I had no later model for comparison.
This vacuum cleaner is very noisy, more so than the old Hoover but I am ok with that if it cleans better.
I found it easy to maneuver and push or pull. Most controls are at the foot level except the valve to switch from floor use to tools use. I did miss the old cleaner's on/off switch on the handle. That was easier to operate than this one by foot. The beater brushes can be switched off by a similar foot control. That way it would be safe to use with bare wood floors.
Cleanout of the dust cup/canister is easy also. You just pull up and out at the top and the canister comes off. Then unclip the bottom cover and dump the contents. There are two extra supplemental filters so this is not a strictly no-filter unit. But those should not require frequent cleaning or replacement. One is at the top of the canister and the other is underneath it.
One problem for me was when I was vacuuming the baseboard using the hose and nozzle attached. The cleaner would tip over easily when the vacuum stalled by blockage. That was caused by shrinkage of the hose in that condition and the relatively high position of the hose fitting on the unit. I know that a high fitting makes cleaning the drapes easier, but a longer or non-shrinking hose would be better.
Summary and final impression:
Powerful suction unit, but loud. Easily maneuvered and emptied. Tricky hose rewind process.

Not sure about Dyson, but comes close to a Shark
For some strange reason, I love vacuum cleaners. Maybe its just because I have two kids and a black lab that love to drop food and shed all over my floors? I own two Sharks, and figured maybe I would give this one a shot. I really have to say, for the price, you just can't beat it! I am really impressed with how well this vacuum cleans, and how much power it actually has for the price. Though it may not come with as many features as my Shark, it has the same pick up power it has. So lets get

Style: This vacuum is very stylish, and is very comfortable to operate. I am 6' tall, and this sweeper was very easy for me to use. This sweeper is also very light. It's a bit bulky, but for the size, I had no trouble moving it around the house.
Suction: This sweeper is powerful! Many sweepers have a hard time picking up very fine particles such as carpet fresh, but this one had absolutely no problem at all. I was also able to get very close to the walls and/or tight spaces with this sweeper since it has good suction on the side as well. Even my Shark fails with that.
Canister: It may not look it, but you can actually hold a lot of debris in the canister. My house is 2,300 square feet, and I only had to empty it once. Once again, another point goes to the AirSpeed over Shark.
Assembly: It only took me about five minutes to put this sweeper together. The instructions are ok, but anyone should be able to figure out where everything goes.
Ease of use: This vacuum Is straight forward on how to operate it. You rotate the knob to turn the tools and/or floor vacuum on or off. There is a step control that will also shut the brushes off so you can clean hard floors. (See video) The one thing that would make this a top notch vacuum is if it was a self propelled, it's not which may make you use a bit more elbow grease when cleaning.
Cons: With everything I do like about this sweeper, there are a few things that I don't. Like I mentioned above, it is a bit bulky. You will have some trouble getting under you chairs/couch when trying to clean. Second, there are no lights on the sweeper, so if you are trying to get under the bed, better get out the flashlight before you suck up a sock. Also, this is not a lift away canister, so if you want to clean steps, the whole sweeper goes with you. One last this is that it is a bit noisy, but hey, its a sweeper.
Best features: I love the auto wind up on this vacuum. The one thing I can't stand about my Shark is that you have to manually wind the cable every time you use it. On the AirSpeed, you can take the cord out just enough to sweep what you need instead of unwrapping it all the way. Then you just push the cord button, and done! The canister is also very easy to empty, and not buying bags will definitely save you some $$$ down the road.
Summary: For the price of this vacuum, you just can't beat it. I am very impressed with how well this performs when sweeping. The attachment are all included, and should help you clean your house from top to bottom with ease.
