    Clever machine
Just got it, so this is an early review based on initial findings. Unit is quiet and appears to operate beautifully. Not the washer's fault, but because it's a 5.2 cu ft top load, my wife (5'3") has a hard time reaching the bottom of the wash tub and needs to use a reach stick to get the last few items. Would have considered a front loader had we discovered this at the appliance showroom. Other than that, gone are the concerns about the clothes not getting wet enough or clean enough. The wash ... read more comes out just fine after using a fraction of the water our old washer used.

    Love my washer
I love love love my new washer and dryer... this is a purchase I am excited about still.. First, you can wash ALL the towels or jeans at one time. Husband has 6 pairs, and they all fit with room to spare. Seem to be washing all the clothes really well. Love the delayed wash. I use it daily. No smell like a front loader. Clean. I just love it... odd, I cannot tell you I have ever loved an appliance. And Platinum.. its just pretty! Downfalls... when i first got it, it threw a few codes... ... read more nothing restarting didn't fix. The depth.. I can barely reach the last sock in the load. Not sure a fix on that, but I still love how I can wash so much more than my front loading washer. Overall - I def recommend it!

    Plusses and minuses
I replaced my 2003 Maytag Neptunes with this pair. It was a front loader and tied my clothes into knots. The good: 1. It is huge. Took sheets, a mattress pad , and my white stuff in one load with room left. 2. It has any feature you could want. 3. It cleans well. The bad: 1. It is a lot slower than the Maytag. Most cycles take an hour+ 2. Even at high speed spin, it leaves in a lot more water than the Maytag did. Consequently, drying also takes and hour+ 3. It still ties things in knots.

Great Washing Machine a 5 plus for rating
Its a Samsung; after my Maytag ate itself up ( yes ate itself and my clothes ) it was a Neptune TL. I needed a washer that cleans. Samsung was always coming up ahead of all the other washers in its price range and features. My clothes come out fresh and yes very clean, whites come out bright and not dull, color clothes come out the color they should be with no soap residue. I cant say that about Maytag. If one is questioning what machine to get I would recommend Samsung. You will also love the ... read more short song it plays at the end of the wash.

    Early review
We have only had this washer for a few weeks so I cannot comment on the longevity or durability. However, it is very easy to use, very efficient and so far our cloths seem to come out cleaner. The 1100 RPMs really wisk the water away during the spin cycle.

Loving this washer; perfect for family of 5!
I've had the washer about two months and it's a wonderful machine. We had a front-loading machine prior to this one and after having this washer, I'll never go back to a front loader. This washer is quiet; lots of cycles and features to choose from; clothes come out smelling clean and fresh! I've noticed the drying time has even lessened because of the ability to choose different water extraction speeds. Overall great experience with this machine. The icing on the cake is it's made in the USA!

    Pretty Good HE Washer
I really like my new washer but with all HE machines, they don't totally cover the clothing and soak the clothes in water and I have had to get used to the idea that some things may not get cleaned if I don't spend a little time pre-soaking or spraying with a pre-wash. This is not the fault of Maytag, but the price paid for high efficiency and use of limited water. Otherwise, this has been a good machine and easy to use. We have only had it for 1 month so if anything changes, I will edit this review.

    Large capacity
Just got this new washer and so far it hasn't disappointed. The cylinder is huge...larger than my old front-load washer, which this one replaced. It is not as silent as the front-load washer but is not as loud as other top-load washers. Haven't tried the steam feature yet, but looking forward to using it. It is easy to use and the labels on the settings are pretty straight forward. No complaints so far.

    Lots of extras,without the confusion
We went from a front loader to this, i have to say i already love this machine. no smell yaaay!, the soft close lid is great, there are so many options for clothes, but I only had to read the users manual once through and I have a good understanding on how to use all those features. very simple to figure out. the (clean speak) with the dryer is wonderful. one of those things you think you dont' need, but im glad I have it. this machine spins your clothes so fast, it cuts the drying time in half. ... read more and it does all this with very little noise. very impressed.

    Top-of-the-line washer with great performance
We purchased this washer about a year ago and are very pleased with its performance. The finish is very attractive and contemporary, the digital controls and displays provide a lot of information, and most importantly, it washes clothes very effectively and quickly with lots of programs available specific to different fabrics. A bonus is that since it doesn't have an agitator, it can wash up to a king size comforter with no problem. Also, its operation is "intelligent" ... i.e. it uses only the ... read more amount of water and detergent needed for each specific load of clothing. Has been very reliable and highly recommend it.

    Good Product
Primary reason for purchase was the Clean Speak system to replace my previous GE washer / dryer which had the similar communication package. This works as well as before, however I miss the touch screen feature. "Old" dryer would automatically start up in the correct dry cycle, this one has a blinking light to tell you which cycle to select but you have to turn a dial to select it. Call me spoiled but I likes that feature. On board dispensers for detergent and softener are convenient, have not ... read more yet used the steam options.

    Love this washer!
I originally had a front loader and it gave me lots of problems. I recently got this washer and had it for about a month now but so far it works wonderfully. It holds a ton of clothes and the smart tank feature is so great! I don't have to worry about putting in detergent or fabric softner ever! All my clothes coming out smelling so good! The basket light is great too, which allows me to see whats happening through the whole wash! A ton of cycle options also!

    Smart, sleek, fabulous
Ordered washer and dryer. I am amazed at the sensor levels on both. Sensing correct water level, wash and spin and drying. The presoak sink is great with water supply to fill, once presoaked, raise bowl and water and clothes fall into washer. Please read simple instruction book 1st for icon and error code meanings. Helps a lot. Tub is huge. At 5'2" and 30" arms, I had to buy a 19" grabber tool to reach small things in bottom. The tub will hold a king comforter and then some. I can do 3 normal ... read more loads in one with no problem, saving time, energy and money. Controls are easy to understand. Wash, rinse and spin cycles are quiet. Balance of machine is amazing, no vibration. I keep going into laundry room to see if they are working. I was shocked when I saw my mom's white cotton panties. They were so white they looked right out of package. Towels were soft without any fabric softener. More money to save on bleach and softener. I could not be more pleased with this duo. This washer has more features than most folks ever dreamed of. Even has app for Smart phone. Awesome product. Beautiful finish.

    Great washer
Great performing washer. The pre-settings are handy, however I really like how I can customize the wash temperature and spin speed to accommodate different types of loads.

    best machines I've ever had
I had a new drain field for my septic tank installed, so the problem of too much water had to be addressed. The LG top loader with dryer set is by far the best decision I made to make sure I get the best cleaning with as little water as possible. I love my washer!

    Over all Happy :)
Researched product before heading to store.Sales man recommended this over other brands and assured me this "LG" brand is right up there with the top of the line.I didn't know. Was told it has a lifetime motor.Strongest of most machines as far as motor goes. That sold me along w/ the warranty.I have had for 'bout 3 months now.Love the feature window.Watched many times at the beginning of using and had to adjust laundry while during cycle,it wanted to wash longer and would be off balanced. Please ... read more know, from experience,Clothes needs to be of same thickness,or near it to be able to keep from being unbalanced. Washer purchasing 101!
I was skeptical about purchasing this washer after reviewing some of the previous posts however, using this appliance and understanding the options it provides really does make this washer a great buy. I get cleaner clothing and it does a better job wringing out most all of the water. I have gone from around 70 minutes of drying time to about 45 to 50 minutes on average. So, the savings is not only in water and washer power consumption but it keeps my dryer times down by 31 to 36 percent. I've ... read more always used cold water exclusively but with the energy savings I can afford to use warm water washes when I need to.

    Simple and easy!
We bought our Amana Washer a month ago because our old one went out. I didn't realize how much I missed a well working washer until I did my first FULL load. I was only able to wash 2 towels at a time with my old one. So to do a full load was exciting. It's super easy to use. I didn't want or need all the horns and whistles that some had I just wanted something that would wash and clean my clothes. I got it! I am VERY pleased.

    new washing mmachine
My old washer was an Amana commercial series. It was about sixteen years old, so it had served me well. I like the new washer, but it is different and takes a little getting used to. The controls are easy to understand and use. I was a little taken aback at the locking lid, but the service person was quick to point out that it can be unlocked to add items to the load. I hope this appliance lasts as long as its predecessor.

    Great options!
Bought this a while back in the set with the dryer, so far it works great on super small loads and extra big loads. I like that it does have the option to choose Extra small and fabric softener or not. I was able to stop using the Downey Ball because of the handy spot you can pour it in and makes the clothes smell great. However, the spin cycle takes a little extra time than preferred but its doing its job. Also, I like the additional port for bleach.
