    Good but not great :(
I purchased this toilet after reading all of the wonderful reviews regarding this high efficiency toilet. I had a professional plumber install and his ease of installation was trouble free. After flushing the toilet for the first time, it seemed no better than the toilet that I just replaced (a 1973 harvest gold model that was originally installed in the home), but not by much. The "swirling" action seemed adequate but didn't seem like it lasted long enough to clean the bowl. Well, after using ... read more the toilet the first time, the bowl wasn't completely clean afterwards and even after having to flush it a second time, I need to take the toilet brush to the bowl. I needed a compact elongated toilet to replace a standard toilet footprint and unfortunately, there aren't a lot of models to choose from. The toilet itself looks good, the ergo height is great, the tank itself a little small but it's not exactly everything that I had hoped for in this price range. Also, had to purchase my own toilet seat at another $ 40.00. Hopefully I'll get many years of trouble free service but it's not the "turbo flush" that I was looking for in this Gerber HE Toilet!

    Flushed with pride
This elongated-seat toilet takes up no more space than the round-seat commode that it replaced. It's a good height, and it flushes quickly and completely. The toilet was shipped to my house in two double-boxed parts. They were very well-packed, with no damage in shipping.

Good toilet for a small space
Works well, some require two flushes. Clogs easier than some, possibly due to 1.2 gallon flush. Brondell Swash bidet fits as it should.

    Does a great job
had this a few weeks now....installation was a cinch...i like a few things about this item. has a good large pond of water...so most "waste" ends up in there and gets flushed away...keeping the sides nice and clean. also no "thru bolts" in the back that connect the bowl to the toilet...so no chance of those bolts rusting through like i had with previous toilets. the flush and refill is VERY quiet. there is nothing not to like about this toilet. it's handled everything I've thrown at it with ease.

    Very happy with this purchase
Can't comment on installation because my contractor did it, but it has worked wonderfully since installed. Really like the extra height, nice for taller people or older folks. Have had no trouble with flushing. Can do a quick flush of the handle, or hold the handle down a second or two for a fuller flush. Either way it has gotten the job done. Only minor complaints are that it didn't come with a seat and the shape of the base in back, with grooves and a hole make it slightly more challenging to ... read more clean. Would definitely buy another of these when the time comes.

Excellent toilet, with low water use and great flushing
I bought 2 of these toilets to replace a couple of poorly flushing ones. We have had them for two weeks and they work great. We have never flushed twice. There is never any stuff left in the water. There is never any residue on the bottom of the toilet. We are very pleased with these toilets. They are also easy to install. Be aware that these did not come with a toilet seat or the wax gasket. I knew this so had no problem with it.

    Great Product
We just replaced two first generation 1.6 gallon flush toilets in this home built 11 years ago, we having just moved in. Our choice was this product based on experience for over eight years with four other American Standard Champion 4 products. Many times, it took two flushes to do the job at this newer home, sometimes the waterway plugging and requiring a plunger struggle to achieve waste removal. These Champion Right Height Model 4 units we just installed do the job EVERY time and are ... read more reasonably quiet during flushing and tank filling as well. They are easy to install, however, take care to make certain not to over-tighten fasteners as directed in the installation documentation. Also, do not use pipe dope or other compounds to connect water supply piping or you may damage the fill valve. Also make certain that you have the needed clearance of nearly 11 inches between the centerline of the bowl mounting bolts and the mop board/ quarter round at the rear of bowl so that the toilet will fit. These units are good-looking as well as effective flushers. American Standard has a great warranty----it works, me taking advantage of it several times for the Champion 4 toilets in our last home. They are priced right as well.

    Best toilet I have owned
Flushes quickly and well due to 4 inch inlet. Noise level is acceptable. Great price from Home Depot for the linen color (vs white). Others wanted a lot more just to get the color. I wanted a higher toilet and so got the elongated comfort height (which is lower than ADA height). I sure am glad I did. It is comfortable and I don't "hit" the front of the toilet seat any more. Swishes entire bowl area when flushed, plus gushes at the bottom to eliminate waste quickly. No more watching things spin around.

    Comfort Beauty and Performance !
As many times as one will use the toilet, it should be comfortable and reliable. My Champion 4 Townsend RH Elongated toilet, is just that and more. It just takes all you have to give and Flushes it down the drain. No worries, no mess or fuss to unclog, or to clean. I've only had my product for a week or so, and already I am hooked. I am so so satisfied with this product. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great and comfortable design, and the best functioning flush I have ever seen in ... read more a toilet. The warranty is really an added attraction.

Saves Water and has Great Performance
After using this toilet I've had to ask myself: "How much is too much love for a toilet?" If you like to save water (and toilets are bigger consumers than showers) then this is for you. The flush is quite powerful and reliable. This is a bit louder than the garden variety toilet; but our bathroom is sharing walls with 2 bedroom in our house and it hasn't been a problem at all, so I'd only worry about it if someone is really noise sensitive. The tank/bowl rubber gasket didn't come with it ... read more though, I thought that was strange, but they're readily available at a hardware store so it was fine.

    Wow! Now thats flushing!
I bought 2 of these toilets. My wife and daughter were constantly plugging up the original toilets in our 20 year old mobile. Now we have no problems with plugging! These are wonderful toilets and only use one gallon of water.

    Works very well
2 piece toilet was easy to install, has been in 1 week & no leaks. Instructions were ok. 1.0 gpf & flushmate handles the job really well. I would recommend this product.

    Best Toilet EVER!
We literally went through 3 standard flush toilets, progressively getting more and more elaborate on the flushing mechanism to solve a problem we were having with poor performance with evacuating the bowl on one flush. Our problem is we have a rather long horizontal run on the downstairs bathroom, where under the slab with the 4" pipe its 60 feet to the turn down to the septic tank. That long run was too far for a conventional toilet to flush and generate enough speed to carry the volume the ... read more distance without losing speed and stopping the flush cycle before its completion. With a powered flush, the speed of the flush is fast enough to carry the entire volume to the turn point without stopping. We can literally flush once now and everything is gone. Woosh! Problem solved!

    good value for the money
I tend to do too much research when buying an appliance and I never purchased a toilet before. After reading approximately 100 consumer reviews, I opted for the Kohler Wellworth in almond. The guy who put it in did so quickly. So far, so good. It flushes fast, removes all waste and is attractive. (if you can say that about a toilet!) Unbeknownst to me, it did not come with a toilet sear so we had to run out and buy one. I would recommend this product.

Had a problem with the first bowl, on a 12 inch rough in it left the tank 2 inches from the wall, which is not acceptable. After contacting Kohler they sent a new bowl to Home Depot, I had to pick it up, the first one was home delivered and had to do a re install. The new one is okay but my time to pick it up, do a re install and the cost of a new wax ring was very inconvenient. Kohler sent a new bowl but my the extra work and expense was unneeded. It is a nice toilet and gives a good flush w/o a lot of water.

Flushes GREAT! I used to hate low-flow toilets. This one changed my mind.
Flushes instantly (you have to see it) and is wonderful. My teenagers love to use it just to see it flush. Now my wife wants another. I used to hate low-flow toilets. I have another one that I installed in a different bathroom about 5 years ago. That one clogs all the time and is annoying. This one is completely different. Plus, it is inexpensive compared to many toilets. I wanted a black one and did not want to pay much, so I chose this one. Glad I did. I will buy this model every time I need ... read more to replace a toilet in the future. Seats are sold separately. I chose a basic non-slam seat, which is plastic. Couldn't find one that isn't plastic. It's okay, but wish it was ceramic. But the toilet itself is great.

Normally don't review products but this is a good product. The install was easy and the toilet looks great. My water bill went down $20 because I had a water guzzling toilet that was a "2 flusher" on top of not being water efficient. If you are considering replacing your existing toilet give this product a try. Beware if you are under 5'10 then the comfort height may not be for you.

    Great product for senior's
I had a neighbor install the toilet as he is a contractor and I was not in the state of health to attempt it myself. We actually purchased two of this model, and because of defects in the original house construction a contractor was needed to install one of them so he installed both. I would recommend all seniors get a raised seat model. This particular one is relatively quiet, looks smart, seems to use less water. I am happy so far and sorry I didn't buy them months/years ago.. Kohler toilet
Would recommend this product. Had to order on line due to the 10" rough in. They only stock 12" rough in at store.

Two types of flush wastes the competition
I had purchased a Kohler biscuit colored high efficiency flush, but then saw this toilet on line for less than half the price, with excellent reviews. I returned the Kohler and purchased this toilet on-line. It was delivered to my local store in less than a week. The base of the toilet installed easily according to instructions on the box, and I used the wax ring with black plastic extender, which was included in the box with the toilet. The tank attached easily. I like the light flush option ... read more which can be used often, with the vigorous flush option used for more hefty waste removal. These options allow for conservation of water. It has a narrow profile, and looks modern without being trendy.

    So glad I purchased it!
My second bathroom has a door between the sink and the toilet-bathtub area. Because the toilet area is so small, I previously had a smaller round toilet and was not sure if this larger toilet would take up too much space. However, it is only a bit larger, looks so sleek and modern and is quiet. I have received many compliments from guests on how comfortable it is, especially because of it's chair height. I love it!

This product is as good as the higher priced manufacturers
This is the second Glacier toiled that I have purchased. This one is for my retreat home. I installed one in my primary residence approximately 3 years ago and it has operated amazingly since I installed it. Installation is a piece of cake. I have found that the bowl inside is very easy to clean as the finish is very smooth. The light flush is great for the liquid only flush and the heavy flush always does the job also. My only disappointment with this unit is the biscuit finish is not stocked ... read more in the Home Depot stores, at least in any that are within 100 miles of my home. Shipping drove the price up to the point that I had to as least think about the purchase.
