    Easy to use
I purchased the gray to repair a chipped driveway edge. The drive is an off white, so I was going for a soft gray so it wouldn't be too obvious. Another poster said his gray was very soft, almost white. Apparently the batches of gray can differ. Mine was a very dark gray that I fortunately tested on a small sidewalk area. Way too dark. So I went back and purchased the white. It is a bright white and stood out too much as well. Ended up doing a custom blend with 3 parts white to one part gray and ... read more got a very soft gray that I am pleased with. The product is easy to work with and mold. The white is double the price of the gray for some reason. But I had several areas that need patching so it will go to good use. Only time will tell how well it holds up.

Good stuff to smooth over a rough concrete surface.
Mixes nicely. Packaging (Tub with tight top) allows a portion to be used and then sealed for later use. Can be smoothed over a rough concrete surface to yield an attractive finish. End product sets nicely, and at least so far appears durable.

    Pleasantly surprized
Much better than the other product I purchased. It holds the form/position much better and doesn't crack. Atleast not as of this date.

The only product for my project!
I chose this particular Quikrete product for my patio borders because they are too small to deal with reinforcing bars. Each border is 2" thick, 24" long and 5 inches high with tongue and groove ends. Some years ago you could buy that size but they no longer make them. The fibers mixed into the formula are just what was needed. The instructions were accurate, and I followed them down to the curing and finishing. The mix provided the exact volume advertised. My total waste was less than 2 shovels ... read more of mixed concrete. 4 border pieces from one 80 lb. bag! My form fit on a 4'x8' sheet of 3/4" plywood, and each pour resulted in 32 border pieces. My project requires a little over 70, and I just finished the first 64. Will proceed with construction of the patio, and wait for a final count before pouring the last pieces. No copyright required, I built the forms, poured the concrete, and took the pictures. Any one with a sense of construction can do the same thing.

Does as advertizes. Excellent to work with.
Easy to use. don't have to have experience. Home Depot customer service has become the best in the business. I online order and pick up at Wilshire union store weekly!!!

    Concrete is concrete
I have not had it down very long, so I cannot attest to it's Crack resistance, but it seems to have a lot of cement in the mix. I would say it is about a 6 sack mix.

    Easy fast mix.
We used this mix to put in plastic fence posts. We were able to pour into the hole then added water and it worked fine. Can also be mixed in a bucket and poured in but it dries fast so don't mix it until you are ready to use it. Has a nice composite to powder ratio for multiple uses. This product also makes nice stepping stones if you know how to mold them. It can be painted and/or sealed with waterproofing. Not easy to clean once it sets but while it's still wet cleanup is a breeze.

    Strong and Does The Job
I used this product for the first time to set a mailbox post that lost a battle with the town plow. I usually use another brand, but when I saw this available I grabbed it. It seems to have a higher psi than just about any other quick setting product sold at The Home Depot. Plus, it is truly quick setting, it takes about 15 minutes to dry to the touch. Finally, it's the only product that I purchased that was hand delivered by a sales rep. that was perfectly willing to answer any questions I had. ... read more Even though I didn't have any questions, I was quite impressed by that. The only draw back is the price; it's 4x the cost of just about every other 60lb bag I can find.

    Awesome fast setting and perfect!
This was perfect for completing a job in the basement and set up rapidly enough to be able to tile within the same day!

    Great quality and price.
Product was easy to apply, and spread really well. Originally recommended by a buddy of mine who also used it on a couple of his projects. I would recommend it and purchase again in the future.

Good for Alligator Cracks in Asphalt Driveway
I've tried several products while repairing my old apshalt driveway and this one is the best value for the deeper "alligator" cracks. I used two 50 lb buckets and it was easy to work with and has bonded to the old asphalt well. Even with the black tinting, it comes out lighter than surrounding asphalt but should be ok once it is sealed. I used less of the sand mix for the second bucket and it was easier to spread in the shallower cracks. I previously used Roklin Flow Mix for similar repairs ... read more which is also a very good product but the Earthco is about half the price and seems to work just as well. The only downside is that Earthco is shipped out of Florida and it took over a week to be delivered to me in California.

    Excellent Product!
Product was easy to apply and it is currently putting up with a lot of traffic. I used this product to repair asphalt holes in my rental property and concrete cracks in my own driveway. It dried very fast and was ready for parking and usage within a few hours. I loved that!! It was definitely easier and cleaner to use than the alternatives. I did not even have to worry about getting dirty or ruining my clothes.

This product is 25 grams of pure powdered Citric acid
This product works great. But if you read the MSDS you will see that it is just 25 grams of pure powdered Citric acid. There are cheaper sources for Citric acid since it is also used for cooking and canning. You can find it in bulk for less than 25% the cost of this item. Another way to slow down the set time for Rapid Set cement products is to cool the mix. Keep the bags of cement cool, use cold water, and in extreme conditions you can substitute an equal amount of ice for mix water by weight. ... read more So if you normally use 10 lbs of water per 55 lb. bag of Cement-All, you can instead use 5 lbs. of water and 5 lbs of ice. Also you can use a light colored canopy to keep your pour area out of direct sunlight.

    Worked like a charm!
My first back of Rapid Set concrete turned into a brick almost instantly due to the Texas heat in August. Added in a bag of the Set Control, and had more than enough time to work with it before it started to harden. GREAT!

    good stuff!
prefect for extending the working time as rapid set cement products start curing really fast. I just sprinkled an estimated amount into an already mixed batch of cement. mixed a little more to evenly distribute the set control and went to work.

    GOOD STUFF
IF YOU USE THIS BE READY. ANY LEVELING OR ADJUSTING NEEDS TO BE DONE RIGHT AWAY. 15 OR 20 MIN.AND IT'S TOO LATE.
  2. 3 years ago
    It is rapid
My broken step was fixed in 1 hour. This is amazing product. Just be ready to work work it 15, 20 min or make sure u add set control to add 20 min extra.

    Excellent
I'm a fix-it-yourself homeowner who is not a professional contractor and this is the best cement product I've ever used, hands down. I've used it for exterior repair on the foundation and interior repair on cement floors and cinder block walls. Easy to work with and dries hard as a rock. A few tips: this stuff starts to harden up within 20 minutes so it's best to mix it up in small batches. Use a measuring cup or similar device to get the proportions right and it's foolproof. When first mixed ... read more it's soupy - let it sit for a few minutes until it starts to firm up. Then start work. Keep your trowel clean and wet. A water misting bottle is a useful accessory - clean out an old Windex bottle and use that. Easy clean up with soap and warm water. The 25-pound container will last for a while but you can bet this is what I'm buying if I need more material.

    Amazing!
We have only used one of these bags outside of our goat barn, which tends to flood every spring and summer, no matter what we do. We put one of the bags at the side where we knew the water seeped through. It absorbed all of the water that had emerged from out recent melted snowstorm. The barn has stayed dry. We will be buying more of these because of their multi-use possibilities,

    Very Satisfied with tjhis product
The fact that this product is designed to always lie flat makes it superior over all other competitors. All of the fill is designed into sections that will always keep it in place. That allows you to stack it to construct a wall or use it on door ways or garage doors. It also works very well for spills and water heater breaks.

Good for compact storage for "just in case"
While I don't live in a place subject to major flooding (there are no major creeks, rivers, dams, etc. above me), my house is located on a hill below street level. My neighbor had leaves divert water and debris from the street down his driveway and into his garage during a heavy downpour a few years ago. Further, if you've ever seen a water main break, you know how those are capable of causing significant flooding on city streets. So the though has crossed my mind that I really should be ... read more prepared to put out sand bags on short notice should something like this happen to my driveway. However, actually storing sand and sandbags for something that could happen years in the future is not easy. Thus I was glad when I came across this product. This allows me to store enough bags to barricade both my garage doors and the front door to my house to keep several inches of water out on short notice, and I can store all of that (30 bags in my case) in a stack about 2' high. I do wish that these bags cost less, but compared to the cost of flood damage these are cheap (especially since most homeowners insurance doesn't cover flood damage). One downside to these bags is that I'm not clear on what to do with them once they've been used. The instructions that come with the bags are quite limited. The company's website has more information and an FAQ, but still nothing related to the draining and disposal of these bags after use. I tried calling their customer support: after waiting for a few minutes, I was required to leave a voice message (there wasn't an option to stay on hold), and they never got back to me, so their customer support didn't win any points with me.

    The Grout you want
I have used almost every brand of grout available. This is the easiest to work grout there is. In response to the other guys review about the working time only being 10 minutes, yes that is mostly true. But if you work with enough types of grout, that is actually excellent. Still being able to horse it at 25 minutes is not bad either. Some grouts go from peanut butter to rock in less than 30 seconds, some take 6 hours. This is the best for what I do. Only thing that could make it better is if it ... read more was sold in 5 gallon buckets.

Good product, but "working time" needs some clarification
I bought this product to level the top of a basement wall prior to installing the mudsill. So I had up to about 5/8" to compensate for. The product needs to be mechanically mixed to achieve a smooth consistency, but a few minutes with a paint mixer attached to a drill works fine. The issue I have is not with the product itself, but with the instructions for the product, which specs a "working time" (where the material will "retain a fluid consistency") of 25 minutes at 50-73degF. I mixed the ... read more product to a flowable consistency, weather was mid-50's and overcast, and I had a maximum of ten minutes from the time I began mixing to the time the product took on a plastic consistency. I had to compress it under the mudsill, so after ten minutes I was no longer able to do so. Working 16 feet at a time on an 8" wall, it was nearly impossible to mix and place the product within ten minutes. The product does stay "workable" for about a half hour, but by that point it's well on the way to setting up and is in no way close to the same consistency it was twenty minutes prior. Also, an important reminder: if you're working on a porous surface (like concrete), be sure to wet it down just before laying the grout. Otherwise the surface will suck the water from your grout and render it useless.

    Great Grout!
This is a great product, especially at this price! We have been using this product on heavy civil construction projects for years. We have used this in underwater applications, above water applications, vertically and horizontally. A grout with a break strength at 6,000 psi in 7 days when placed at a flow able consistency typically will cost between $35-$45 a 50# sack at specialty concrete suppliers. We have had this product tested at accredited testing facilities and it performs consistently as ... read more specified. Yes, it does have a short pot life when at a flow able consistency. Plan your work accordingly.
