Used it for a bathroom ceiling and where the drywall met 7/16" cement backer board
Used this for a bathroom remodel for the ceiling and the bathroom walls where the drywall meets the backer board at the bathtub/shower area. I found the 1/2" still required a couple of people to hang on the ceiling (seemed to be heavier than regular 8x4 1/2" drywall too) and like other reviewers have observed, it is less durable/more brittle. For the extra price, it shouldn't be as fragile. I had missed a small cut off nail that was probably sticking out of the ceiling truss by about 1/8"-3/16"

and this was enough to create a 2" or so blister bulge on the drywall when I screwed it into the ceiling, so I had some extra topping and feathering to do to hide the blister.
I had no problems cutting it with a craft knife or an oscillating saw for the electrical outlets and light fittings.
The other issue I found with this is that the taping and topping compounds tend to be white or cream while this board is a light shade of green, so you will need to use a drywall primer on it to get everything back to a single consistent color before you put the top coat of paint on the walls if you plan a smooth painted drywall finish.
