The product is fine but the ease of purchasing and getting the product shipped was effortless.
This paint is doing exactly what the manufacturer is promising it will do, absolutely beautiful results with this paint. This is the first paint I've ever used of this brand and I was quite impressed with the quality. This paint is very thick, actually at first I was a bit afraid to use it as it was, I thought of diluting it a little. After it dries the finish of this paint is impeccable, no brush marks, no drips. The only con about this paint is that it takes too long to dry, but that is expected because it's an oil based paint. The color is a very nice neutral shade that can match any decor. I was very pleased with the quality of this paint and highly recommend to anyone, it's a great paint that will give beautiful and long lasting results on your projects.
This stuff is great. All you have to do is clean the surfaces you are restoring and then paint it on thickly. It goes on very nice and dries fast. It cleans up super easy off my hands and skin. Plain water and soap. It will mess up your clothing, so wear something you do not care about. I LOVE this color. It is lighter than what it looked like online. Very pretty soft dove grey. It make the deck just like new again. I expect the deck to last another 20 years and it's already 23 years old. It's good stuff. Try it.
Best one I have used so far! It is just flexible enough and yet not so stiff that that it would make it hard to use.
Paint goes on and covers well, Used on Ceiling and Wainscoat boards. No runs or drips. Nice coverage and easy clean up. I will purchase this again
Poor and uneven coverage. Lousy value for the money.
this product was absolutely smooth on the surface of outdoor metal table....it was sanded first & then applied unto rim of table. customer was pleasant ...no shipping
I purchased this paint and primer in 1 because I had a lot of painting to do (a full house) in a short amount of time and decided to spend the extra money on the better paint so I could put up one coat and move on to the next room. I was wrong. I DO NOT have dark walls to begin with - a light grey, a pale green and a camel color, and this paint required 2 coats. Rather than wasting more money I bought a cheap white flat paint and painted the whole house with that and THEN painted "one coat" of the paint/primer in one for a nice even finish. to the paint's credit - it did dry pretty fast - about an hour to full dry with one coat. If you have white/off white walls this paint may be great for you - but do not expect it to cover in one coat otherwise. save your money, but paint and buy a cheap primer to your first coat.
I picked the seal grey paint and primer up and immediately started painting my closet when I got home. My house is 100 years old so it soaked up the paint and 2 coats were needed. When it was drying it looked lavender and I was very worried. Once it was fully dried the true seal GREY colored showed (no blue or purple tint which is common with grey colors). I am more than pleased with this Glidden color!
I found this to have the best adhesion & "cover up" of any primer I have used so far. It seems that oil based products are being replaced with Latex (water based) paints & primers. Goes on easily & covers most surfaces in as little as 1-coat. Clean-up is more difficult but I have switched to disposable brushes for its application. Brush marks tend to be more noticeable with this product when used outdoors & in higher temperature areas (where the paint dries quicker & you are not able to maintain a wet edge on the brush). A bit more odor than Latex but that is the nature of oil based products.
Good look and size for an entryway rug. Nice colors and pattern.
The pant was a pleasure to work with. I used a 3/4 poly nap roller to apply it. I used it on my trailer deck which is covered by 2x8x12 pt boards. I aloud it to sun dry for a month before applying the paint. It went on thick a filled many of the small cracks in the wood. It looks good. Like a rubber coat almost. The anti slip in the paint is very nice to I add a little more anti slip to the trailer it came out beautiful. I also painted my wife's rocking chair. She was a little worried about the abrasive ness of the paint, but it feels fine a it's ready for the hardest rain. This is good stuff.
Have used KILZ latex and oil primer for years and was looking forward to using this tintable paint. Purchased 5 gallons based on my happiness with the primers. I used this in a cream color over a winter-sky blue and over an olive green. Took three coats over each. Far from a one or two coat claim. Also, even with ventilation, we have headaches for two days after painting just 100-200 square feet. Thought it was a fluke the first time. Headaches within an hour the second time. Donating the bucket of paint to a rehab store. I do not recommend this paint for an occupied residence.
I used this color for my hallway and foyer. It was a very nice transition color. But if I were to do it again I would definitely get the Behr premium which has the primer in it, as I had to use a few coats to make it smooth. I paired the color with Behr Harvest Brown and it looked very nice together. I would recommend this color as well as other Behr products to family and friends. And I always use Home Depot for my paints as the staff is always extremely helpful and nice.
When I first started painting w/this color I was scared of what I had gotten myself into. The color is kinda intimidating especially in a semi gloss. But once I got the color up on the walls/finished, I loved it. With this color you need to accent in other colors that compliment it. We went for whites, golds, reds and greens. I am so happy I was brave!
did not cover well at all. color was totally awful.
Paint quality was lumpy and I could not stir or blend it to be able to paint with it. The product seemed to have been sitting on a shelf for a couple of years.
We have rental homes and paint them all with Glidden paint. We love the look of the Eggshell and how it wipes clean. Our renters have all been happy with it also. My husband does all the painting and loves the fact that it is thicker than a lot of paints so it doesn't splatter much. I love all the color choices, since I get to be creative and choose fun colors for the homes! Soon, he will have time to repaint a couple rooms in OUR home! Of course we will be using Glidden Eggshell, no matter what colors I choose.
Walking in the store looking for paint, thinking ultra hide flat would be great. That was a mistake, all the negative reviews were true. Right out of pale the pant was to thin. After 2 coats still didn't come out right. After the dry time, I could rub off the paint with little force. To anyone who reads this just don't buy it, REALY Don't
Color is supposed to be crimson. I got a bright red color.
Very very thick paint, does not do well on textured kool-deck finishes, it is too thick to get down into the valleys of the textured cement. even tried adding a bit of water to the gallon. It does have excellent anti-slip additive already mixed in, the tan/sand color was a little too bright, so had to custom mix a darker tan color for the second coat. I would only use this on smooth concrete, and buy one extra gallon to save a trip back to the store.
Was straining Behr indoor paint that had stuff in it even though was bought new a week prior. HD sales person recommended these to strain paint which we did. The screen part separated from the cone dumping paint back into container. After 2 failures decided to tape the screen to the cone. Which worked finally. Be prepared for frustration when using...
this is the only stuff i work with. it is fantastic.
I ordered quite a few Behr paint samples and tried them all out. I found my favorites and bought the paint for my room. I tried to get paint samples for Valspar paint from Lowe's, but most of the colors I wanted were not available. How do you expect to sell paint when you have no samples? Home Depot, on the other hand, had EVERYTHING I needed. This paint is so easy to put on and the colors are great!
