Nice, lightweight, but be wary of adding tapes!
I had old aluminum blinds hanging in my living room behind heavy drapes for years. I recently decided to update and lighten the room. Off with the drapery and metal blinds! I choose these fabric blinds because they did allow some light to filter through even when closed, sort of like sheers. The wood trim compliments our home nicely. After seeing a sample of fabric blinds with 1" tape trim in the store, I decided to add tape trim to my order to cover the strings that hold the slats for a more

finished look. However, blinds that are "real window" size (not tiny samples in-store) get three rows of tape trim, meaning one column goes right up the middle of the blind - right in the center of the view. Unfortunately, my blinds look like prison bars! This middle column of trim didn't appear in the ordering program on Home Depot's website. That's my only disappointment in otherwise nice blinds.
I purchased these custom fabric blinds for my patio door and kitchen window. The patio door blinds are two on a single headrail. They look beautiful and add a great deal to the décor in that area of our house. We installed them ourselves, and while it was not particularly difficult, the blinds are heavy. This installation requires two people. The smaller blind was easy to install by one person. The quality is excellent, and all the hardware was included -- no missing parts! The blinds fit

perfectly. Time will tell how easy they are to clean and how they hold up to our cats, who like to bat at them when they're down. I purchased these partly because I think the cats will not be able to bend them the way they were bending our previous aluminum blinds.
This is a a good option when you want the look of a blind that is done in fabric
I was thinking wood blinds until I saw this option in cloth. Lighter than wood and really gives a soft look to the window. They give you header options and I chose the wood with the fabric. It looks great. I had them fit to the inside of the window. I did have them installed with the Home Depot service. I would recommend this service, it's reasonable and you get a professional installation. The whole Home Depot experience was good. I love these blinds I couldn't be happier in how they look and perform.
