Sturdy & beautiful in an Americana sort of way.
Easily installed with two people. It's light enough but unwieldy. I didn't have clearance under the eaves to position the hanging bar the called distance above the door ( the issue is your door, when open, hitting the underside of the canopy). I positioned that bar 8-9" above the door and gained open-door clearance room by placing a 1/4" spacer washer under the bottom mount point of each canopy side panel. my pickup - lot easier on the back. Pricey.
We installed the awning on the backdoor of my sister's house to keep rain from blowing in. It was surprisingly sturdy and light weight, thus making it easier do the overhead installation. We ran into a tight installation due to window and door frames and were delighted to discover the side panels are reversible, thus saving us a much appreciated inch or so. This is a nice looking awning that serves two purposes. First it gives an overhang when it's raining and second, it stops the rain from going into the building. The only negative thing I can say is that the instructions are not as clear as I would have liked, but then I had never seen one installed close up. It also gives a pleasing appearance to the building and looks like it belongs there.
