    Great Investment
Having this electronic pet door helped my puppy get completely house broken in a couple of weeks. She would not use the puppy pad. She comes in and out as she pleases and we're glad we don't have to open the door for her and don't have to worry about raccoons, skunks, or other pests coming into our home. It was very easy to install. I would recommend this product and am very happy with the purchase.

    Fantastic Product!
This door changed my husband and my life. Before he was getting out of bed several times per night to let the dogs in and out, now they do it all by themselves and we get a great night rest. It took about 2 weeks before they really got the hang of it, but now they use it without an issue. we got the cheap tags and collars, we ended up taking the sensors and putting them on different collars (because the ones that came with it were very flimsy). But we have snow and heat and rain and the sensors ... read more have held up fine. we have had the product for over a year and the only issue is when out electiricty goes out and the dogs do not know what to do.

    Works great.
This door was easy to install and operates smoothly. It will be so much easier for our dog to go out when she wants without us into her fenced in area.

    Perfect Doggy Door For Fatties
We did not want to be making any holes in walls or doors. We use a doggy screen door on our sliders in the summer so we thought this would be perfect. We have a tall doggy, a teensy doggy and a chubster pig. All three have no trouble using the door except the rise is a little high for the piggy, though he manages it. There is a little air seepage but not bad and we can probable plug that up. We had a carpenter friend install the door and he said it was no problem. We will also be able to open it ... read more in the summer to use the doggy screen door again. This door was a bit more expensive than others I looked at, but for us, it was worth it to get the extra wide opening. 4 paws up!

Good door but some improvements needed
This product is the best one for larger dogs. There are a few areas of improvement for this product. One is that the foam tape that is provided does not sufficiently create a seal between inside and outside. Also after a few weeks of use the flap becomes warped and let's outside air in. If you live in a temperate climate that wouldn't be a problem. However, if you live in the desert like me both of these flaws lets heat in.

Great door - easy to install.
The door is perfect for a manufactured home that has door frames slightly smaller than stick-built homes. The only drawback is the size of the opening. It is much larger than our other doggie door and our dog isn't thrilled about using it. He is slowly getting used to it. There needs to be a third size - in between the one that was too small for my dog and the one I bought.

Very large opening for my dogs (180+ lbs)
I was worried my dogs would have a hard time fitting through this door. The 15"x20" opening is perfect my english mastiffs. They were used to hunching down for the XL size and now they don't have to! They don't bang thier legs on the bottom of the doot either. I can't fit through the door with the panel in place, but it's so easy to remove that I just take it out.

    Super large patio door
Shipped on-time. Easy to install. The installation videos were simple and clear. The product is well made. My dogs got the hang of it in no time.

    What a time saver.
I use go nuts letting my three dog in and out and they never wanted to go at the same time. I just wish directions told you that you can slide the panel up above the doggie door so the step isn't as high getting in and out. Just unscrew the doggie door and take out. Slide the panel up and reinsert the doggie door.

    Great door
I really liked this door, it was easy to put in, Only drawback was the lock. I expected it to lock to my sliding door but it didn't . It only gives a steel object to hold the door shut. Which means I will have a hard time opening this sliding door. Gratefully I have a door that goes to my back yard I can use

    It is fantastic
I love this door. the most difficult part of the installation was getting the staples out of the box to open it. Once unwrapped I just picked it up and put it in the door. Instant success and I am 5 feet tall 65 years old. It is quite sturdy and lots of room for my standard poodle to come and go thru her new door. she is enjoying the freedom. My cats do not go out it which is a good thing. the magnet closure is strong. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

    great and simple
fast, quick and easy to install (if installing as temporary option). Just pull out from the box, drop bottom onto sliding door track, reach up and turn the knobs to the left to make the extension pop up and touch the upper sliding door rail, lock the extension by turning the knobs right, attach weather stripping (small amount comes in the box) and you are pretty much done. Keep in mind this is single pane glass and if you are not using it in the permanent option you will need more weather ... read more stripping than what came with the door. My dogs use it all the time and i don't have to get up to let them out anymore.

    Very Good Purchase
It was fairly easy to assemble. This coming from someone who usually has to do these types of things twice. For a novice, like us, it took about 2 hours to complete the install. We had to take it out a couple of times to get it to fit correctly. The dog is very good with the door and it looks like part of the vinyl sliding door, rather than an obvious add on. Overall a very good product. Thanks to Home Depot for listing in their store that the aluminum pet patio door would not fit for an ... read more remodeled vinyl sliding door.

    It works well
You definitely need someone who knows construction to install this. When finished, it's great. It took a week for our dog to get used to it but now runs in and out all day.

    Good, but not perfect
The installation instructions were generally very good, but I had to improvise a couple of details to make it fit just right.. The door latch doesn't lock completely, but well enough to lock the door.

    Works exactly as described
I installed this in my dog's house as his door in and out. His house is insulated and I wanted a door that would close completely to keep in the warmth. This has worked great. Being that it is intended for installation in a door I had to get longer screws due to the fact that the opening in his house wall was deeper than the opening that would be cut out of a door. I've checked the comfort level in his house and it was plenty warm after a 36ish °F night....and that was after he'd been out of his ... read more house for about 30 minutes. I am happy with this pet door.

    Pet door

My dogs and I all love it!!!
I've had the pet door for years and it was time to replace it. Being in the sun, rain, sprinklers, and other elements all took a toll on the original door - it was literally falling apart. But what do you expect from a door seeing daily heavy use from two dogs plus their "guests", for nine years. The only problem with installing the new one was the inability to be outside and inside at the same time to hold the two pieces together so the screws can be installed. Good old duct tape solved that ... read more problem. This is a great door for the price and easy to train pets to use it.

This works really good and was very easy to install by myself. Dog is happy, owner is happy.

    Security screen door
Great dog door. Worked great on my security screen door.

    Exactly what I needed
Was easy to install. Works great with the screen door/pet guard combo and the cats were happily using it within a day. It's a little larger than I needed for the cats and wished I'd found it in small but other than that it works just like it's supposed to. The video to show how to install was very helpful as well.

    Awesome product!
This door is invaluable to me. Our puppy has already gone from 3-4 accidents a day to NONE within a week. I will echo the sentiment that more weatherstripping and weatherproofing will be needed. Also be prepared to lose about a foot of width to your entryway. In addition, maybe I just missed this part but the pet door does not latch anywhere to the frame but it just sits in there. The actual glass door just butts against the pet door thus negating any locks you may have had. They do include an ... read more easily installed lock but I use a security bar instead.

    What a Relief!
I put my 15 year old son in charge of installing this product and he had it unpacked and installed in about 25 min. This pet door can be used with a screen door in the Summer and with the normal door wall in the Winter. Comes with a thick strip of spongy self-adhesive weather stripping for a snug fit. High quality solid product fits very well and can be installed and removed without harm to the existing door frame. This product does not require cutting of your existing screen and can be easily ... read more moved from one door wall to another. This pet door has saved us a lot of hassle with finicky cats wanting to be let out and in a couple hundred times a day! Would definitely recommend this product.

Can be modified for short legs (as per previous reviewer)
It is a well-built product and can be used as-is, but our dog (old dachsund) has very short legs. To make it easier for her to go through the door I removed the screws on the side rails, slid the bottom cross-member, the door, and the cross member above the door out. Then I slid the bottom (taller) cross member in first followed by the door and the shorter cross member. Not all of the holes line up for the screws, but it is more than sturdy-enough. Careful not to pull the side rails apart too ... read more far or the glass comes out of the seal. It can be re-sealed with some patience. This process reduces the height of the door from the bottom by about two inches.
