    Great Buy
This is a great buy. My husband found the receipt for our old garage opener and this was only $10 more and the old one lasted over 20 years. We used Home Depot to install it. He was great and went beyond to make sure it worked properly. He came on time and made sure I was happy with the install. It has two remotes and our old one only had one. Thanks to Home Depot.

    Direct Replacement
I purchased this unit because the Overhead Door opener that was installed with my garage door had failed after 4 years and the price of replacing just the electronics board was 3/4 the price of this complete opener. While everything was in the box, nicely packaged, ready to install, the motor drive/electronics was a direct replacement for my failed unit and four bolts/six wires later I was in business. I expect this to have about the same failure rate as my original (since they are simply ... read more rebranded), but the price was right for the expected life span and ease of replacement.

    Chain lift garage opener
This garage door opener is very quiet and so far works very good. Make sure to get angle iron and straps before you start. They do not come with the opener. Recommend 2 people as the motor end is very heavy. Runs slower than most I have seen but that is fine as it is also quieter. I also bought a wall mount wireless remote so I would not have to carry the remote with me.

Very quiet operation, easy to install.
I replaced an old chain style opener that was very loud. I have bedrooms above the garage, and opening the door with the old opener woke up whoever was sleeping. With this opener you can hardly tell what is happening. The instructions were very easy to understand. I would recommend having a friend help, multiple sets of hands make it easier. The MyQ app is a wonderful thing to have. I am always wondering if I remembered to shut the door as I am driving away. With the app I look at my phone and ... read more know without having to drive back home.

Solid garage door opener with lots of features
The opener was easy to install and works well. Very quiet as stated in the description. The MyQ feature was very easy to set up and has been very handy on many occasions.

    Great opener with great features
Took a solid day to put up and get programmed. No big installation problems. The gateway and Android app works great on my smartphone. Sends me notices each time the door is opened/closed. I can check the status of the door remotely and even open/close it remotely. Also the belt drive is noticeably quieter than the chain drive. The app instructions are not the greatest for setup - had to muddle through it with some trial and error, but eventually got it working and I've got it set up on both ... read more this door and a similar Chamberlain chain drive unit.

    very good value
Had battery back up and was on special with free delivery and was less expensive than other units without the back up. Was delivered on time. Great price. Opener is whisper quiet and a huge improvement over our old very loud chain drive. Had Home Depot install it. However, I actually had to go to the store to pay for installation for some reason they would not do it over the phone or online which was inconvenient.

    Best of the BEST
Super quiet! No one in the house knows when the garage door is opening or closing. Even when your in the garage looking at the door open and close, you just have to rub your ears in disbelieve when the opener makes no noise. The phone app works excellent. Always works and alerts you when the door has been open and close. It would be cool if you can set a time for it to close ever day in the even its open. No IFTTT support is also a let down. The belt is also rubber, so time will tell how long it will last.

    Quietest Opener You could Choose
We did our research and found that this was the best opener on the market. I am very happy with the unit, its quiet and I can use my iPhone to open and close it no matter where I am. I think the only downside is the lasers sometimes re calibrate and are sensitive so sometimes the door retracted bc the lasers were sensing the door as an object in the way. The installers came back and fixed the issue. Overall a great product!

    Quiet and easy to install
Purchased April 22 online. Arrived about a week later at my house. i inventoried the parts upon arrival. According to the installation manual I was missing a bolt. I called customer service but they were busy. I left a message and they called back within an hour. Turns out there are two installation methods and they stuck an insert in the packaging to address this. I missed this and there were no missing parts afterall. The installation was straightforward but involved many steps. The most ... read more challenging was installing the angle iron bracing. I thought the photo sensors were going to be the issue but a laser level took care of that pretty quick. I installed the opener by myself with the help of an A-frame ladder. Best advice is to watch the installation video several times. It gives all the info one needs. This opener is so much better than the 20 year old chain drive it replaced. It is quieter, the photo sensors don't act up, and takes up much less room.

Worth is for the customer service alone
Between the youtube video and book, you can really figure out installation on your own. (I did, and I'm not that handy). I ran into some confusion at the end with wiring the photo eyes and was shocked when I called the customer service number from somer. A friendly and helpful associate walked me through how to fix it- without making me feel stupid! I didn't even have to spend any time on hold. Great company, in my opinion, and I love my new quiet opener.

    Super Quiet
When entering the house from the garage, I catch myself turning around to see if the garage door is actually closing. It's that quiet. Quality of the unit remains to be seen, based on how long it will last. However, with only one moving part I expect it to last for a very long time.

    Good buy!
The Kit came well packaged, good instructions too. The installation took about six hours at a relaxed pace.

    Good value
Great value for the money. Absolutely the best assembly and installation instructions I have seen for any product. Be patient and follow the directions and the average handy person should be successful.

    Love the Quiet!
I was nervous my 23-year-old son and his buddy would run into problems installing this, and I also expected it to be a noisy opener for the price I paid. I worried for nothing - they had it up and running in a few hours. It synced with my current sensors, wall opener and keypad so was able to use it immediately. Only problem is I can't hear my kids come in anymore because the motor is practically silent. Nice problem to have!

    Satisfactory product
You may have to buy some additional mounting hardware and a reinforcement kit for your door to complete the door opener installation. I think it can be a little tricky to adjust chain tension because there is a tendency to twist the cable while turning the turnbuckle. In any case, I'm satisfied with the performance of this product and I've had no problems during the few weeks it's been used. I am however annoyed by the fact that Skylink will not sell the simple two-button keychain remote unit ... read more like the ones that come with the door opener as a separate product - they want you to buy their forty dollar four-button unit instead. I doubt most people need the two buttons on the unit that comes with the door opener much less one with four buttons.

    Really Quiet!!! Good Value
This is a replacement to my 10-year old Chamberlain. I have a living room above my garage and I was looking for something that is quiet. Got this opener and got it installed in about 2 hours, pretty straight forward and instructions are clear. Here is the surprise, when I first start it up, I was amazed by how quiet it is, it is not a belt drive, cause I prefer something that is more durable, but I think it is as quiet as it can get. The rest are pretty standard, remote control works well, I can ... read more program everything by the wall console, so no need to climb up again. Very satisfied overall with this purchase.

    Great Value
This garage door opener is much much quieter than my previous chain driven opener. My master bedroom is above the garage and it's nice not to hear the garage open. The remote is better than my old garage door opener and works from about 50 ft away but not as good as I'd like it to be. My favorite new feature is the keypad mounted outside the door. I use this feature much more than I thought I would. Forgot the house key? No problem punch the code. Most garage doors are 7 ft high. I didn't ... read more realize until this install that I have an 8ft door. You have to spend an extra $50 for an extension kit, available on Amazon.

The opener works great and is VERY quiet.
The opener CAN be installed alone, I did it. But it would be best to have two people install. It was overall pretty easy as long as the instructions are followed and if you are fairly handy. The opener works great, is easy to set the limits, and is VERY quiet. It was a great deal when I bought it.

Super quiet and easy one man installation!
I have never installed a garage door opener before so I didn't know what exactly to expect. I had no one to help me. I figured I'd tackle it. I have mechanical know how, but don't do this for a living. Took me a day to do. Never followed instructions. I'm one of those that can figure it out and refer back to the instructions when I hit a road block. It was installed perfectly but I had trouble getting it to work. One quick call to Gennie and it was up and working. Apparently the buttons for the ... read more "Learning Code" is a little more complicated than in the manual. Once the operator told me the proper procedure, it works great! Well worth the time and effort and saved $100 installing myself!

    Excellent product
This is a very well-designed garage door opener system with some very convenient features. Having a light on the front and back of the motor housing provides overhead lighting for the entire garage, not just the garage door area. The wall control has a dedicated switch to turn the lights on the motor housing on and off. Rather than allowing the lights to auto time out, I turn them off at the wall control as I leave the garage to save energy and extend the life of the bulbs. If I am unloading the ... read more trunk of the car, stepping through the safety beam across the garage entrance will turn the system lights back on if they have already timed out. Installation and adjustment will present no problems as long as you read and thoroughly understand the instructions before beginning installation and have a helper that is up to the task. The Home Depot ad lists compatibility with CFL bulbs. The system instructions caution against using any specialty bulbs and recommend only incandescent bulbs. I called customer service to clarify and spoke with Tim, an extremely knowledgeable and courteous representative at Chamberlain. He said the bulbs are switched by a relay so I can use CFL bulbs. However, he was not enthusiastic about the idea because system troubles are indicated by flashing of the bulbs on the motor housing. Since CFL bulbs are slow to react, they will not accurately display the trouble signals. Also, most CFL bulbs require a warm-up period to achieve full brightness, so the light from the CFL bulbs will not provide maximum brightness at that critical moment when you drive the car into the garage.

    The product is excellent
I bought this door closer to replace my old closer that was failing. It is great to install and is very quite when it opens in comparison to my last on that was twenty years old. I like the two closers and the internal opener with a button to push to leave light on if you are working in the garage.

    Straight forward installation, adjustment
I used this opener on a sectional overhead garage door to replace another Chamberlain garage door opener that was more than 15 years old. (It was cheaper to replace the old unit than to have someone diagnose and repair a problem on the IC board.) Installation instructions were terse. The drawings in the instructions related much information (pay attention), but were adequate. Fortunately, the parts were engineered to be mostly idiot-proof, so installation went fairly smoothly. Though not ... read more mentioned in the instructions, routing the bell wires inside the trolley rail made the installation neater (used a fish tape for this). Trolley travel, and motor force adjustments were required after installation, but not complex and were easily achieved. Compared to the old unit this replaced, the new unit is lighter; finer guage wires, smaller components and lighter motor. But it does not appear to be any less sturdy in construction and works well. The remote works from a longer distance.
