    EXCELLENT
THIS ITEM WAS PURCHASE TO BRING A TRADESHOW BOOTH INTO COMPLIANCE WITH THE TRADESHOW ASSOCIATION REGULATIONS. IT PRODUCES MORE LIGHT WITH LESS ELECTRIC USAGE.

    LED alternative to Halogen Bulbs
We elected to swap put halogen bulbs with LED equivalents. To date we are pleased. The LED lights do not get as hot as the halogen bulbs. We are hoping the LED lights will last longer as well. We will replace the halogen bulbs in our oven exhaust vent next to see if they will withstand the heat and last longer since we replace those halogen bulbs 2-3 times a year.

    Great bulb
We use this bulb in a environment were they are on 24/7. They are bright as to the standard were dim. The bulbs have paid for themselves as I was changing out the others monthly. So far I have had some of these LED bulbs in place for over 5 months and still going strong. Great product.

    great bulbs
The 5000k bulbs are great for light output! These LED bulbs are affordable and they make my old bulbs look yellow.

Looks like a regualr Incandecent Bulb
Looks the same as a incandescent bulb with same shape and dimenensions. No extruding heat sink at base of Bulb with 4 four slash's at bottom of Bulb to let heat escape. Bulb runs cool, even at heat sink. I plan to buy more. In about 20 years, heh, heh, heh.

    The better dimmable
The LED light industry is evolving. This bulb is proof. It will dim down from 2700 to 2200 kelvin and as the bulb dims down it does put off a little more of the yellowish hue of an incandescent or halogen, but on the lowest dimmable setting it is still brighter than incandescent or the halogen. So if you are going to use multiple bulbs on a single switch/dimmer switch stick with the same style. The greatest attribute of LED is efficiency, longevity and they don't put off a lot of heat. Because ... read more of the longevity of these bulbs (20+ years) I can see changing out the bulb in maybe 5 years just because the technology will be so much better. I would say try one out in different locations , see how you like it , if you can put it on a dimmer switch. Remember this is a "flood" bulb not a "spot". Lighting can change the whole dynamic of a room , so if you are going to spend the money do a little research.

Low energy long life dimmable flood light
My experience with compact fluorescents has not been good. They burned out way sooner than advertised and did not work well with a dimmer. Hopefully, this LED will solve these problems. The dimming feature works. Life will take time. Cost is high, but long life and lower power required may pay back eventually.

    Very nice bulbs
After trying out 10+ different LED lights, we settled for the Phillips LEDs. They are well made, They are of similar size as incandescent bulbs, They have similar light tone and brightness. Would buy again. NOTE: DO YOUR RESEARCH before buying LED lights. Try ONE bulb in the room you are upgrading, before buying several. TEST THE LIGHT in daytime AND nighttime to make sure the brightness and color tone is what you want - there ARE DIFFERENCES from make and model to others. PAY ATTENTION to the ... read more light direction. Some LEDs are directional. Do not get a ceiling light and expect good results in your table lamp....it does not work....

    Excellent replacement for 50W halogen
Before buying the product I was worried about its brightness, but these light bulbs are just as bright as 50W halogen that I replaced in my 4in recessed ceiling lights, at a fraction of the wattage. Using my existing dimmer switch, the bulbs do not dim as much as the halogens did (about 50% brightness at the lowest dimmer setting), but I didn't attempt to modify my dimmer since I don't intend on using the function anyways. Philips 3000K color temperature is whiter than most CFL or incandescent ... read more bulbs, but I find the color to be just right, giving out a very pure near-white color which makes the bulb appear brighter and not bluish at all. I have replaced bulbs in my kitchen lights and many lamps to Philips brand LED 3000K color temperature and found them a much better choice than halogen or CFL. So far I cannot speak for the life of the bulb, but I kept all the packaging in case I need the warranty.

    Excellent LED replacement bulbs
I purchased these lights to replace the MR16 halogen bulbs in our "wall washer" high hats. The color of these LEDS is identical to the halogen bulbs they replaced. They are a very warm light, not white or blue, but a very bright natural light. We purchased two bulbs to start with and went back and bought 6 more after we saw they were the correct color. They also make this same color bulb in different sizes. The 4 watt bulbs will not light up a room, but are more for accent lights. If these will ... read more be your primary light source in a room, get the 10 watt bulbs. They are expensive, but compared to the halogen bulbs, they will pay for themselves in less than a year. And with a proper LED dimmer switch, they will dim all the way down to a dim glow without dropping out.

    Great LED
Tried several other brands and could not achieve the soft feel of an incidecent until I tried these - my wife cannot tell the difference! Have on in a light which stays on 24/7 in a dark area of our kitchen for over a year now.

These bulbs are the best LEDs out there
These are the highest quality LED bulbs you can get. It is hard to find this wattage though since the market is moving toward brighter units. I have fixture that takes five bulbs so getting a 60 or 75 watt equivalent is an expensive option and gross overkill for brightness. My only issue is that LEDs and the Phlips in particular are still very expensive. They are the closest you will find to the color of a standard incandescent. These are fully dimmable and work with existing dimmers.

    Very Bright!
I have been wanting to try these Philips LED bulbs for a while and now I have my chance! I bought these bulbs to use in a new dining room chandelier that I bought from another store. The new chandelier uses 5 bulbs and the bulb wattage to be used can go up to 60 watts. However, a number of other people who bought the light fixture said that using a 60 watt bulb is too bright for the light fixture and that 40 watts is best. I'm glad I read those reviews as it guided in me in buying these 40 watt ... read more equivalent LED bulbs from Philips. They are very bright when they are on at 100% and they light the dining room very well! In fact, I had dinner with a friend during the holiday and she thought the light was too bright and so I dimmed it to 60% and the light level was good! I would definitely buy these again. As you can see by the picture, the bottom half of the bulb is grey and the top half of the bulb is yellow - so it's not the most attractive looking bulb. So, you will want to use this in situations where it's not so visible, like a table lamp with a shade, or an upward facing light fixture that has frosted glass shades. The type of dining room chandelier I got has the bulbs facing up with frosted glass shades, so you don't see them. And I do specifically recommend these 40 watt equivalent bulbs for an upward facing light fixture because the overall height of the bulb is not that long and so the bulb will not protrude out the top of the glass shade.

Excellent purchase - packaging was some of the most friendly - bulb seems to work great
The packaging was so friendly. It was not some hard plastic that required a knife and cut your fingers. You simple grabbed the plastic covering, twisted, and it slipped out of the cardboard holder - and then you removed the bulb and recycled the packaging. VERY simple. The bulb tries to look like modern Edison filament bulbs which is the trend. It defuses white like very well and has worked well outdoor for the past month. The warranty is attractive as I have had LED bulbs fail - in the ... read more electronics not the actual LEDs.

Best bulb ever Love this brand
I love this brand and will only buy this brand from now on. I read about it in a magazine so then I tried it after seeing the rave reviews. They were absolutely right!

Not quite as bright as I had hoped
It costs a bit more, but should save $$ on electricity, and should pay for itself with the advertised long life. The 60W was not quite as bright as I had hoped. It is okay for bedside reading, but brighter would be better for me. Does not get very hot like an incandescent. Light is very white as opposed to the yellow tint of an incandescent.

    These things are awesome!!!!!
I was a little skeptical at first about these. Most leds say you can't use them in enclosed fixtures. A co worker of mine brought a couple of these to work to let me try. Wow!!!! I went to my home depot and picked up an 8 pack of these. The lumens ratings on these can't be right though. These sticks seem way brighter to me. I've put them in my basement, lamps, and enclosed fixtures. With no problems. I also bought some of these in bright white for my garage. Don't spend more money like 6.99 for ... read more one led bulb. Save yoursef some money and buy some of these light sticks. You won't be disappointed.

    OUTSTANDING VALUE
This 60 watt LED "light stick" made by General Electric, is the best general purpose indoor replacement bulb I have ever purchased. It came in a 3 pack with a price tag of just under ten dollars. Its brightness (760 lumens) and light appearance (2850 k) seemed indistinguishable from traditional tungsten bulbs and far superior to the CFL bulbs it was replacing. If it were to last half as long as its rated life span (nearly 14 years) I would be more than satisfied. It is a great product at a ... read more wonderful price. My only regret is that when I went back to Home Depot (in Newton, New Jersey) to buy more, there were none left.

    Best Lighting Ever
Changed to traditional, Mercury filled spiral low voltage light bulbs. Knowing they were good on the electric bill but did not like the environmental hazard. GE has developed the "stick" light. Thin and sleek design and lighting beats other bulbs currently on the market. Before the lamps had a yellow hue. With the stick bulb, these are the soft type is brighter and cleaner. These bulbs are eco friendly on the electric bill and no environmental hazards.

Expensive? Yes...but, you get what you pay for
I wish I'd gotten'em for $4.97 like the previous review. I paid $10.97 x9 but, I'm extremly happy with them. These bulbs put off ZERO heat. I have great eyes but, after say, watching a football game in the basement for 4 hours soft white bulbs begin to hurt my eyes. I figured I'd give the 'daylight' bulbs a try. I very happy with them. I know it will take at least a year before these bulbs pay for themselves in reduced energy costs and I'll be happy when I do finally see that. But, what I'm most ... read more happy about is how much cooler my basement is now vs regular incadescent bulbs and how pleased my eyeballs are with the 'daylight' bulb. It goes great with the HD tv and little natural light that comes into my basement.
