Very durable and easy to install product
This product is great!! I have now installed this wood flooring in 4 rooms over the years and it continues to look great and hold up well. Still looks brand new. Installation is simple if you have the right tools. I purchased a Dremel oscillating saw for cutting the doorway moldings (I would recommend this purchase). A rubber mallet and a tool for hammering the end joints tightly together was also necessary. To keep the 3/8" around the ends, I used 1.5" x 3/8" pine molding strips. Hope this ... read more helps anyone thinking about doing this yourself.

    Looks beautiful
We started by installing this floor in the living room.It came out so nice we ended up putting it in all the bed rooms as well. When people visit the first thing they notice is this floor. We love the color variations & get nothing but compliments. It's been down for over a year in the living room and has held up very well.Looks the same as day it was installed. One thing to remember when installing- your sub floor needs to be fairly level

Beautiful, easy to install and holds up well over time
We bought this when HD first got it and have installed this flooring down over the course of 5 years on over 2000sqft. Over the years it has held up to the wear and tear of 2 kids + friends and 2 crazy dogs (heelers), a leaky roof, rearranging furniture constantly (just have felt pads) and in the bathroom too! We ordered extra knowing that we would need it for the rest of the house. Just got done putting the next to last room flooring down and you can't tell the room next to it was done 4 years ... read more prior. Easy to install. the picture is the 4 year installation difference.bedroom floor vs bathroom floor.

    nice product
Floor looks great and was easy to install. Hopefully it will hold up. So far I'm very pleased. The only negative I would have to say is the floor is very slippery. Be careful in socks.

I have worked with this product before and loved the ease of installation.
I have installed this flooring before and loved how easy it was to work with. We decided to eliminate two more rooms of carpeting so it was a no brainer. The Elmwood handscraped look is spectacular when the room is complete. Installation is a snap, literally, each piece just snaps into another, I didn't need any special tools or have to do any banging on it to get it seated right. Quality and finish are impressive.

    Great Floors!
My husband and a buddy installed these wood floors in our master bedroom in less than 6 hours and they look amazing. They click together easily and are very high quality. We are very pleased. They warm up the room beautifully. I highly recommend these floors!

Great product - would highly recommend it
Did the family, living and dining rooms, foyer and the stairs to the second floor. (did a glue down on the stairs). Did the same installation on the house next door. Was pleasantly surprised at how accurately the pieces were cut - and how easily they went together. Door ways, powder rooms, closets all went well. Various trim pieces fit and matched very nicely. After over a year in use, still looks like new, and we're looking at doing the second floor also with the same product.

    Excellent!
I live in the current boomtown of US...AWilliston ND. As such, I have installed many, many new wood floors (of all types) in upgraded homes or new construction. This is the best wood floor we can find for under $3.00 a sq ft. Great quality, superb finish...an instant value added to any home in need. I just finished installing 1300 sq ft of this exact flooring in my own house remodel. Out with the carpet, in with this floor...HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE! I don't think you can find a better deal for at ... read more this price. I have installed similar flooring for $7.00 per sq ft. The only near-complaint we receive from customers is some of the pieces are "darker" than they expected. But this is natural hickory, and like any natural wood, there is no consistent coloring or wood grain pattern. With proper placement and selection, the few darker pieces that do show up blend in very well with the overall floor giving a great, subtle contrasting appearance. Buy this flooring and you will not be disappointed.

    great looking floor
wow, what a beautiful floor, it by far exceeded my expectations. for the price of 2.79 a sq. foot, I really don't think you can find a better floor, and its made in the USA. Installation is not hard although it is time consuming as it will take longer than a click lock floor, this floor can be installed three different ways, I chose the floating glue together method which as I said is easy but will take you a bit longer, but is well worth it when you see the results. I would highly recommend this floor.

    Looks great
Looks really nice once it's installed. Better then the picture on HD web site. Did the floating floor/glue install method. That was a lot of work, glad it's done as it was a lot of work. Used much more glue then I expected but as I mentioned, glad it's done and it looks great. It will be interesting to see how it holds up over time. Again, I can't say how nice it looks. Wish I had more money for the ticker version. One thing that was just a bit odd. We ordered one box just to see if it's what we ... read more wanted to use, it had a lot of very random lengths. A few months later we decided to order a few dozen boxes for our project, all of those boxes had very few lengths that were actually random, most were the same or very close to the same length of the box. Did not cause us too many issues but would have been better if there were a few more random lengths.

    Very easy installation.
Have typically installed nailed-down hardwoods but wanted to try this product. Very easy installation; only two bad boards out of 14 boxes; so easy my 13 yo daughter did half of the installation. Looks good and hasn't scratched. Would suggest this product to anyone interested in a pleasant finished product at a reasonable cost.

Nice product, easy to install. Trim is different material.
Ordered and installed 18 cases of this. Ordered on a Friday and the product was delivered the next Friday. There was some minor shipping damage that ruined two planks. Material very consistent in color shading. For some odd reason three of the cases had 12 half length planks in each case. We were able to use them but would have returned to store if it was a problem. The trim pieces are not engineered wood. They are some kind of pressed board with a finish pattern applied. They look fine and ... read more match the flooring but will likely not be as durable as the flooring where under foot. (transition pieces and T rails). 1/4 round is not 1", it is 7/8". All in all a great value and medium difficulty DIY project. Subfloor prep is critical with the 3/8" thick flooring. It must be flat (level looks good but flat is key).

    Beautiful floor.
We installed it in a small room (142 sq ft) with a closet and one door into the room. Beginning with undercutting the door moldings and putting down the underlayment, it took us about 12 hours the first day and 4 hours the second. It's easy to click the pieces together, but it takes some time to figure out how to attach the pieces under the door moldings. We did not need the extra box we ordered, because we were able to use everything with almost no waste. Although we were slower than some ... read more installers, our floor looks perfect and we're very happy with it.

    Looks great
Floor looks great, only advice would be to use a piece of scrap to gently tap and interlock the pieces together. Otherwise the floor will bow upward

Very good quality but note 3-3/4 inch width option
The color and grain pattern were just as we hoped for. While doing research to make our final decision on ordering enough for two rooms, we went directly to the Millstead site. We noticed the availability of the same flooring 3-3/4 in wide (24.4 sq ft per case). This was not easy to locate on the Home Depot website. In the end we decided on the narrower boards, which were ended up being approx $1 less per sq ft.

    Hard to install
Floor looks great! Only problem we had was that the floor boards did not lock into place very easily.

    So happy with purchase
An absolutely beautiful floor. Just had 1000 s/f installed and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. The 5" width is perfect. The random lengths and ever changing grains are a pleasure to look at. Hardly any waste. Price was at low end of many selections, but flooring looks very high end. Available online only, which is a shame. Free shipping to store. Requires special stapler, as do many Shaw flooring selections that are 3/8". This is a truly gorgeous floor, and we're so happy we made this choice!

    Beautiful product
Can't find this in the store, but rest assured this is a beautiful finish and an amazing Oak veneer. It's been down about 2 months now. Have one small nick in the wood and not sure how it happened, but something must have dropped. No scratches at all and we have a dog. Also, if you order online, be aware that USPS is not the best at packaging! had one corner busted. All in all i am extremely pleased

    Perfect for what I needed.
I'm actually using this for window sill extensions (interior). I've cut off the snaplock on both sides (ripped on my table saw) and trimmed out the interior sill with this flooring. It looks fantastic and it's easy to match the window casement to this flooring with good quality oak casement. I'm very happy with the end result.
