Best sink layout available
As a design engineer, I can say that this is the best kitchen sink layout available. The area for mounting faucets, soap dispensers, etc is offset, which allows the left-hand basin to be large to accommodate large cookware. By comparison, most kitchen sinks have he faucet-mounting surface extend the entire width of the sink, which wastes space and results in small basins. (which is essentially the work surface) is so low as to give taller people like me a back ache. Sinks with deeper basins are also usually significantly more expensive. This sink layout used to be made by Eljer, who are not longer in business. I'm glad to see that this style of kitchen sink has been taken over by Kohler, as there was a period when it was out of production and my remodeling jobs during that time used the traditional inefficient sink layout--I feel guilty for the functional compromise that this imposed on my renters.
