Natural material, handmade, heavy gauge and really nice looking
I wanted something other than stainless steel for my kitchen makeover - not that I have anything against stainless steel apart from the fact that it's BORING. I wanted undermount to complement my new granite countertops. Granite composition sinks are really attractive but granite composition is to real granite like MDF is to wood, so composition didn't score well on the "natural" scale. Plus I was put off a bit because the reviews of granite composition said that it stains and cracks easily.

Porcelain on cast iron is great and practically indestructible, but not suitable for undermount. So this sink won, hands down. My countertop installer noted a few irregularities in the sink - not noticeable but they're there if you look for them (bowls aren't exactly the same size, top isn't exactly flat) but these minor quirks are due to the fact that the sinks are handmade, and they don't materially interfere with using the sink in an undermount installation, which is more exacting than drop-in (this is a dual mount sink so it can be used as a drop-in or undermount). I'm looking forward to seeing how this sink ages; I'm told that it develops a lovely patina over time and just gets better with age. I don't recommend this sink to everyone for all applications, but for the right color palette and the right fixtures (I'm using oiled bronze drain fittings and faucet), this sink is a real standout. Naturally anti-bacterial as well.
