A little smaller than it looked on the page
This is a nice post lamp but is smaller than it appeared on line. It will work but a little disappointed.

    Good value
While this lamp is not top of the line, it is very decent and well worth the price.

It's fine. Not as nice as my previous 50-year old American made one, of course, which was made with heavier and thicker metal. But it should be fine and should last for many years. Fit was good to my 3" post. One minor issue. The light came with bolts, not pointed screws, like they assume you are bolting it into pre-drilled, pre-threaded holes. I had accidently backed into and wrecked my old lamppost which dated back to 1969, so I had installed a new post. The new post did not have pre-drilled ... read more holes, so I had to drill my own holes and use black-colored sheet metal screws to attach the light. But having said that, the operation went very smoothly. In fact, that might be better, since you can then set the light exactly how you want it on the post. Not sure if pre-drilled holes would have necessarily lined it up the way I wanted it (actually of course, the way my wife wanted it...)

Good solar light with glass solar panel
This solar light performs well and it is nice to have the 3 options for mounting. It can be mounted on a wall, on a flat surface, or on a 3" pole. I would have preferred the model with bright lights and motion activation - this model only has a switch for low/high/off and has the yellowish light. Before the had been placed outside, the switch was cover was already cloudy. A good feature on this light is that the solar panel is made of glass rather than plastic, which will last longer.

    Very nice and bright...
I was very eager to install this when it arrived but was not able too right away. After installing it not so long after receiving it, it was fairly easy to install, it was nice and bright. Here we are several months later and it is still going strong and bright. I live in a desert community so i am a little concerned about how many summers it will last as it gets very hot out here. We will see. Overall, i like it and would suggest the wall mount if you can.

    High Quality & Nice Design
This is a high quality solar lantern. It is well made and beautifully designed. I will review the different aspects in detail: Design: Beautiful design. Looks great. Looks expensive. Matches traditional and modern designs: the lantern shape is traditional but the conical reflector and LEDs give it a very modern look. The glass is 100% clear which makes the light more effective. Quality: High end. High quality materials. Well made. Packaging is great and makes sure you receive the light ... read more intact. Installation: Super easy to install. Obviously it does not require wires. Three mounting options: On a flat surface (using the provided base), on a wall (using the provided bracket), or on a 3" post (without base or bracket). Installation takes 5min max in post-mount or flat-mount options, but would take 10-15 min for wall-mount option. I did the wall-mount and it was fairly simple. My only complaint is that the two nuts / screw covers are powder-coated with the same black color as the lantern so that they blend-in and look less obtrusive, but this means while tightening they will lose paint and look scratched. Operation: The light has one switch to select HIGH setting, LOW setting, or OFF. Very simple and easy to use. The switch is mounted towards the top of the lantern which should be accessible in most applications. The light sensor is on the top near the solar panel, which is the perfect location in my opinion. The light goes ON at dusk and I tested it to make sure it does not flicker when transitioning from light to dusk. The light works as claimed and I have no complaints on its operation. Solar Panel & Light Output: The solar panel is large enough and located on the top of the lantern to absorb the maximum amount of energy. The solar panel is covered with clear glass which means it is well protected and will last long. The light comes from 9 LEDs located on the top of the inside. The light reflects off of the conical reflector to distribute in a beautiful yet effective pattern. The light is warm white (yellowish) but if you need bright white there is another option. I personally prefer warm white for accent lighting, but bright white is usually more effective as area lighting. The manufacturer claims this light produces 130 lumens, which sounds about right when set to HIGH. When set to LOW, the output is less but this means it will last longer. The light lasted approx. 8 hours on the HIGH setting after charging almost a full day in the sun. On cloudy days I expect it to last 2-3 hours, which is alright. But this is the deal with solar lighting, you cannot rely on them as your sole source of light unless you have something equipped with a motion sensor to conserve the batteries until needed. I posted some pictures of the lantern, the package, the contents, and installed as a sconce (wall-mounted). I am very happy with this product. Recommended!

    Easy to install, great value!
This lamp is perfect for lighting up a dark area. The best part is that you do not have to run power to the area you are needing to light up. Very simple operation, and other than the cost of the fixture, the lighting is provided for free. The 200 lumen lamp appears to provide adequate light to see obstructions and safely navigate an area for about 30 feet. If you have a larger area where brighter or more light is needed, the 300 lumen would probably be a better choice. We really liked the ... read more "antique" design of the fixture, and the bubbled glass. Very stylish and ornate. We screwed the fixture's base to a piece of plywood so that we could move the assembled fixture around to find the ideal place for the lamp, and where it would provide the most beneficial lighting. This proved to be a good idea, and eliminated any second guessing on where to permanently anchor the lamp.

It lasts and lasts and lasts...
I put this lamp in the middle of my dog yard to give light at night. It goes on bright as they pass in front of it for 30 seconds as often as needed. It lasts all night with consistent sun exposure, set on low 12 hour setting. . In the winter, it works almost as well except when there are 2+ days of dark skies and snow. I gently clean the snow off and it works good as new when it get some more sun. I pounded a long metal stake into the ground, and slipped the light over it.... put 10" garden ... read more stakes into each hole, and added garden hook stakes at internals.... it stays put thru any wind or weather. NOW the clicker.. I bought this light 3+ years ago....used it three years in northern Michigan... moved it to Indiana in December.. all wrapped up for 4 weeks.... put it in the yard here, and after several sunny days...it still works like new !!!! How's that for value ??? I am going to put another in the front yard, and am I ever happy to see that it is still available !!

    Excellent Light Post!
This is a great lamp post all the way around. It comes with expander bolts and a template to help you guide the holes into your deck or concrete. We ended up using a cement 16"x16" pad from Home Depot (Model # 72600 Store SKU # 204659), I used the template to marker the holes, and proceeded to drill the holes with my drill and some masonry bits. Care to see the result? Check the picture! Initially, we would have liked to see them provide some sort of ground screw for the lamp post for a more ... read more temporary placement, but the concrete pad we used worked wonderfully; I would actually recommend this method instead! It's a great lamp post, the light shines bright enough to see 20 to 30 feet around it. It has three settings, one for motion detection and the other for always-on, and the last one is obviously to turn it off. In normal function, it automatically turns on at night and off in the morning. The glass on the lamp post has this different liquid-like pattern on it that shines out on the ground. We really like the uniqueness of this! The light mount has thick-rimmed corners so it adds a "shadow-LIGHT-shadow" effect, blocking light in those areas. Personally, we like this effect! We want to thank Home Depot for helping us in finding the right concrete pad, and inspiring and encouraging us to think outside the box for the mounting part of the project. The product takes less than 5 minutes to put together, and probably another 10 minutes to drill the holes into the concrete pad. If you do it the way we did, you can then place it anywhere you'd like in the backyard, and then once you find that spot, dig a square and place it in there! We are very happy about this product, and we don't have any complaints. Solar power is mind-boggling technology to us! We really like that the LED light will never need replacing, but our only true concern is when will the battery require replacement? Only time will tell, but we imagine it will last 2-3 years, giving us plenty of time to enjoy its marvel! Our neighbor across the street has already asked about it and appreciates the look and sturdiness of the lamp post. It's definitely of great quality! Our future ideas with this product involve placing a garden around it, with various perrenials and annual flowers! We're excited!

Great post lamp for the money.
This light really looks good on the post next to the driveway. I am really impressed with the quality for the price. I was tired of buying cheap plastic lights at another store, so when I found this one I was delighted. I am going to buy the matching house lights.

Good value as a replacement lamp head
Attractive and an excellent value (was reduced further than original price). Seems solid and assembly was easy enough.

Had this professionally installed as a replacement to existing old lighting system. No problems and LOOKS GREAT.

    Live it but. . .
We love this light, all but the pole. It is crooked. We did not take it back because it would have involved taking it apart and redoing the electrical which is too much work. It is crooked between the middle and top part. Two days after we installed it we noticed a neighbor had the same light and it too is crooked.

    Excellent product for the money
Based on the price, I was unsure of how high the quality of this light would be. Upon receiving the delivery, I opened a box (purchased two) and checked things out. In short, the light is very well made, with thick cast aluminum and what appears to be a thick, quality finish. Only time will tell how well it does. I reviewed the instructions and installation it looked straight forward and all hardware was included, including the expansion bolts for the concrete. My electrician actually did the ... read more install and he said there were no problems. Once I see them lit up at night, they look great. I'm using three 800 lumen 3K LED bulbs in each fixture.... 54 watts total, nice!

    gives off good light
I had a gas mantel light before installing the solor light, the new solor light is brighter than the gas mantel light and way cheaper to operate. It is great and easy to clean

perfect for what I needed. Already have had neighbors compliment me on this selection!
It throws out a very "distinctive" type of lighting. Rather unique, AND, not using ANY electricity!

    Love the Solar Lamps
I purchased 6 Pagoda lamps and 6 larger ones. I kept the smaller Pagoda as they looked better on the driveway stone columns. The batteries installed easily, and lamps are working as described. The lamps were installed in May of 2014 by my stone mason. He had to change out the mounting screws as the ones included were too short to mount into the stone columns. The light of the lamps can be set to different light settings .... they also get brighter with movement and dimmer when car lights shine ... read more on them. Overall, they are worth the investment. I would purchase again.

    excellent product
These are beautiful quality and give out a very strong light. We put them on the dimmest possible and they shine all night long. Very pleased with the product.

    Nice lantern
The three hole for provided set screws used to attach the lantern to a 2" post are not threaded. I guess you would need to drill holes in the post for the screws. You really don't need them anyway.

    Great value
I looked at many lights online, but ended up buying this one. It was quite a bit less than the others I liked. Although the lamp's body is just a bit thin, the quality is good for my purposes. I would definitely buy another like this one and would recommend it. I painted mine bronze because it only came in black.
