As far as ceiling fans go, the install on this one was what I expected. The ceiling bracket is attached to the box, and then another bracket clips into the first bracket so that you have a hands free wiring. did it three times to make sure I had the process down well. Actually, the first time, I forgot to put the top trim piece on, then the second time, I forgot to check that the wires were all hooked up correctly, and then the 3rd time was the charm. Just make sure you don't get ahead of yourself like I did, and you should have no issues installing this fan.
As far as the appearance, it is a good looking fan. I especially like the bronze trim on the glass for the light, I think it makes it look rustic, yet nice.
The fan blades are reversible, with a light side and a dark side, The dark side is not as dark as pictured in the homedepot.com listing, however, it is a little more reddish, and lighter. Not a deal breaker because it still looks good in my mostly neutral room.
The pull chains are long enough to reach from the floor in my installation, and they have a nice little medallion on the end that has a light and a fan, so you know which is which.
Good fan, moves a lot of air, Has three speeds, and is very quiet. I don't have anything bad to say about it.
