    Great Picket Replacement
Exactly as described and what I needed to repair a fence. In addition the price, including delivery to my home, was great.

    redwood dog ear fence picket
The pickets arrived in good shape, nicely packaged for protection ( 5 to a case). Of the 11 cases I received, only two pickets had some damage (missing part of the wood in both instances) which is reasonable. The bad pieces were still usable. None were warped. The redwood varied in appearance but it was a nice mix.

Construction Common Redwood Dog Ear Fence Picket Review
Other than arriving wet the product received was as described. Project finished with excellent results.

    Excellent product
If your going to build a dog-eared fence then this is by far the best product to go with. I bought 15 boxes and there was not one piece that was bellow par. No warping .no cupping . Just straight and clean. My only problem is the fact that I live 3000 miles from the closest Redwood tree. Shipping was 45% of my cost. Still and all , I'm happy I made the choice and so are my neighbors .

    Purchased for garden boxes
Used these to build raised beds. I only wish they were available in store (or even ship to store) as the shipping costs to my house doubled the cost of the project! Still was an economical way get this project done.

    Mostly very pleased
The quality of the pickets was excellent as far as being very straight and no damage or missing knots, etc. I only needed 72 pickets for the section of fence I was putting them on but I ordered 11 bundles because I really expected some of them to be defective in some way. The one thing I found that I didn't like was that 20 of them were very white in color or had just a light touch of redness to them. 16 of those I didn't have to use since I had that many extras. The other 4 I put in a space ... read more behind a tree so they aren't visible from the yard. Photos attached show the fence viewed from the back of the house and I put some of the white toned pickets in one of the photos so you can see the contrast to the ones in the fence. I also put a photo of a label put on each bundle by UPS indicating the weight, they are pretty heavy. They are fresh cut so they still have a lot of moisture in them. No problem there because they will dry out on the fence and the screw mounting will keep them straight during that process.

Cedar for a MODERN exterior wall over concrete blocks
This wood really stands out and makes my entire yard more vibrant. I added a cedar stain to bring out the color in the wood and for further protection from the elements. People have stopped just to tell me how much they love the look of the wood. It has made an ugly, gray, concrete block wall look beautiful.

    Good value
I thought they looked a little cheap but once installed they looked real good. I backed them with 3 cedar 2x4 rails and also made a double gate out of them. For cedar in the Northeast, they were readily available, reasonably priced, and even though they were only 5/8" thick, I'd use them again because of their value.

Good inexpensive alternative for yard ornament project
I made a buckboard wagon yard ornament from a Winfield Collection plan that called for 1 x 10 cedar boards. The cost of that size cedar boards would have made the project too expensive for me. Home Depot carries these rough cut dog-eared fence boards that turned out to be a great inexpensive alternative. I used the router to make a tongue & groove connection where I needed solid side & seat boards that were wider than the 6" picket. I glued & clamped the boards and then cut per the pattern. The ... read more floor of the bed was made without even cutting the board, I just removed the tags. The finished product looked and smelled great. The pattern of the more narrow side boards just added to the look of the wagon. I did have to pick through MANY boards to find ones that were good enough for this kind of use. In fact, not many were fit for fence use either but they worked great for this project that I otherwise would have abandoned.

    Good Product
Had to replace some pickets in a 6 year old cedar fence. Bought 6 of these for that purpose. I should have checked the length because 2 of them were about 6 inches too short. I made them work, but they should have all been 6 feet. Of course, they do not match the rest of the fence, but they will weather over time.

    A full 6'' wide.
I had bought this product to use as paneling for a camper rebuild. I am allergic to regular paneling so I had limited options. Very happy with the boards. Just a warning if you were to use like I did. There is some width shrinking even though the boards were cut a long time ago. Here is a picture without any polyurethane on them. Smells great! I like the full 6'' wide also. About 1/2" thick.

    Great value
I installed nearly 200 feet this last time and probably a thousand feet in the last few years. The best technique I've found to avoid the headaches from warped boards is to purchase a freshly delivered pallet in which the boards are wet and hang them while they're still damp using three stringers spaced so that no more than 6-9in of the pickets extends above or below the top and bottom stringers respectively. I've also noticed that the boards are stacked on the pallet in the order they were sawn ... read more and if the same order and facing direction are followed when installing, any lateral warping will be consistent and much less noticeable

Fantastic Deal On Pressure Treated Fence Pickets!
I purchased 520 of these pickets, over the Memorial Day weekend. I layed them outside to dry, since they were moist, from the pressure treating process. Out of 520 pickets, about 5 boards slightly warped from the drying process. Not enough to affect their usage, or physical appearance. So, I did NOT lose any product, as some reviewers have claimed, that they experienced. Plus, all 520 pickets were selected by store staff; I ordered them on-line, and did not "hand pick" any of them!!!! I simply ... read more drove to Home Depot, loaded on my truck, and left. Remarkable, at a price of $1.20, for pressure treated wood! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product.

    Worked out great!
From the start this was an easy project, lots of help and advice from store associates about installation and money saving methods, pulled my truck up and they loaded a pallet and a half on I did not touch any till home. Found one in the batch that was to warped to use and one broken dang good for 1/3 the price of what I would have to pay at the local lumber store! The pickets locally are a little thicker and hand picked but this fence looks great and I believe will last a long time.
