Good looks and good water pressure - but I am still trying to figure out how to adjust water temperature to be warmer. Contractor installed it but threw directions away - still looking for anything on line to help with the adjustment.
I was excited when I purchased this sink. I like a rustic look and was prepared for the color variation of copper during the patina process but not at all prepared for the consistent spotting. The patina process looks natural, the spotting looks very sloppy. I have never used anything abrasive, always wipe out after use, never leave anything sitting in sink, and have good quality water. The side that is not used is fine (some spotting) so if you don't need to use it you are okay. It is undermount under a granite countertop so I am stuck. I would purchase a hammered pattern if I ever bought again. Just want you to beware. I have done everything recommended.
this sink is amazing! It is the perfect aqua color and it definitely makes a statement. just remember that you have to purchase a drain without drain holes. also a great price-looks much more expensive.
It looks nice and works fine but the quality is unacceptable. The shower head that came with it lasted 1 year. I bought another one. The diverter failed after 2 years. This is a joke. Now I have to pay a plumber to come exchange it.
This sink is even better than the photo, the extra design doesn't stand out, but when we got it we were so impressed with the design. The price and size was just perfect for us. It makes our bathroom look so much larger and actually give us some added space to move around in our small bathroom. We were looking for a spa look in the bath and this sink was the perfect touch. Thanks Home Depot.
WELL, the product title says white, an online bathroom expert insisted it was blue, and upon it being delivered and opening the box, i come to find the glass is GREEN. Extremely beautiful nonetheless, but all the bathroom tile needed to be returned since the BLUE tile did not match the GREEN sink. It is actually a very pretty sea green color. By no means blue, and certainly not white. But now with accompanying light green glass tile, my bathroom looks like a designer masterpiece. GREEN GREEN GREEN. And be ready to blow 100 bucks on a drain, because no standard drains fit the hole. You need a non overflow drain. But the look is worth the trouble!
Purchased this item for a client as a last minute substitute for an older pedestal lavatory. Exhausted my usual wholesale supply channels looking for a sink that could be delivered quickly. Checked the HD website and found this item. item arrived properly packaged and unbroken, not an easy task when shipping china plumbing fixtures. My first experience with this brand and I am pleased. So is my customer, a discerning individual who takes pride in his beautiful San Francisco home.
Looking for an inexpensive but "rich" look for our bathroom update. FOUND IT! This glass beauty is durable and looks great. Easy as heck to install. One thing though, you will find it difficult to find a prepackaged faucet unit with the correct size drain. Ended up buying a separate umbrella drain to make the set work because the prepacked one was too small. But, all worked out well and I really like how it all looks on the vanity.
I love this sink. We purchased this sink to go in our teen age daughter's bathroom. Her bathroom has a diva theme, and this fit perfectly. It's also neutral enough that in the future we can change the décor and it will still work. The sink is a lot bigger than I had expected. I also thought it looked round in the picture, but it definitely is more of an oval shape. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I would have preferred a round sink to match the floor better.
Great product - added more elegance to the side of my vanity that was against the wall. instead of using a chairrail, this eas used.
I am just starting the installation into a custom vanity, and realized that the top didn't come with a template for the cutout into the vanity. This would have been extremely helpful- I'm now trying to figure out how to hand draw an oval shape. Other than that, it's a beautiful color of light green and I love the glass look.
I was drawn to it's style and simplicity. What, indeed, could go wrong? chrome?, 2 knobs,? ample shower head?. Installation was a breeze in our shower. Week 1 no problem. Week 2, both shower knob covers popped off while in use. Within minutes both knobs shattered into pieces. Obviously, I cannot disconnect the unit from the wall ..As I am writing this, I am wondering how to return it to my local Home Depot. BUYER BEWARE. PASS ON THIS FAUCET!
The sink was fine, except that although I needed a small sink for a small area, this sink was too small. The basin is very small front to back (about 7"). Anticipating a small basin and the difficulty in getting your hands under a standard sink faucet for washing, I also bought a faucet which stood up a bit above the sink. The problem then was that because of the short distance between the faucet mount and the wall, the faucet rubbed against the wall when you turned on the water. The distance between the drain and the wall was also too short for my needs. In order to get it to fit I needed to cock the P-trap at an angle and move the sink over. Final verdict, this maybe a great little sink for the right location, but I needed a different sink. The GREAT news is that on-line orders can be returned to your local Home Depot for a no hassle refund! After some more searching I have ordered a different sink from HomeDepot website.
I read the rave reviews of this product and thought it couldn't be anything less than perfect. Well, it's quite nice, but it's far from perfect. Here's the list of issues I faced in installing it: (1) The first sample I received had defects that could be seen through the glass, which appeared to be clamp marks that had pushed through the bottom white layer (looks like ceramic, but might be plastic). Since the top is in fact transparent glass, the backing is the only thing that stops it from being see-through, and any defects in that backing are very visible through the glass top. Of course, returning a top like this is a huge hassle - instead of chancing a return via UPS, I drove this to my local Home Depot (and of course, the product isn't carried in stores, so you can't check one out before you buy). (2) Both the first sample I received and returned, and the second sample I actually installed, were concave. This means that the top simply will not sit flat on a vanity. It comes with leveling pads you can use, but this would leave a gap between the vanity and the top, allowing dust in, and also prevents the top from actually being secured to the vanity. Bad idea when it comes to knocking the plumbing out of place. I ended up needing to use large amounts of silicon to fill the gaps under the front end of the glass top. For reference, I mounted it on the Foremost Haven vanity, available on this website for just over $300. (3) The ease of cleaning of this top has been mentioned, but you should also know that glass comes with a huge downside - every drop of water that dries leaves water marks, which are clearly seen as shadows through the glass if your bathroom is well lit. This means you'll be constantly cleaning the top. (4) As for the drain issue - yes, you need a special umbrella-style non-overflow pop-up drain if you wish to plug the sink. I'm not sure, however, why people say you can't plug it at all. You can - it just doesn't have an overflow, so you have to make sure no kids figure out how to fill the basin. I used a Decolav model, which costs about $70 on this website. (5) The basin is quite shallow. I didn't realize this would make a difference, but I find that even with a relatively high and long faucet (the beautiful Delta Lahara - available on this website for about $220), I tend to bump my hands against the bottom of the sink when washing them. The basin is designed with a very gradual curve, so the back edge of the basin, where the faucent will actually be positioned, is only about half as deep as the center point. This is in contrast to many granite vanities, which appear to have much more "bowl-shaped" basins. Would I recommend this top? Yes, but only if you are aware that its "high style" comes with costs. I wouldn't choose this unless you are truly convinced that this is the look you're going for. It's more expensive than competing granite tops(especially considering the drain you'll need to buy), it may be challenging to install, and it requires constant cleaning to look its best.
this top is not designed to be installed in the US with any faucets or drains manufactured for US products. No one could supply us with the correct drain. The Kohler faucet we purchased did not have the right drain trim that fits into the sink. The sink requires one that is almost 2 in. in diameter. Not to be found anywhere. The part that raises the drain stopper was too short and an additional piece had to be attached and stil it does not work properly to raise and lower the stopper. Right now the sink is functioning without any leaks, looks lovely but it is installed like a Rube Goldburg project. There should have been some info on the website about the fact that this sink does not articulate with US products and what faucets, etc. to buy that would work with the sink. By the time we found out what a mess we had on our hands, it was too late to return it. Every time I see that sink, I am disgusted with it and with Home Depot for not having more info on the website so others don't make the same mistake we made. What a nightmare. Want to add that we called the 800# for both the sink co. and Kohler and got no help at all. We were totally on our own. Terrible nightmare.
The initial looks are very cool when you look at the pictures, but there's a reason why these are on sale. After a few years, the color will start to fade, scratch. I've installed four of these over the past two years, and I've already replaced two. The problem is that the paint underneath is exposed to humid environments, and paint doesn't like humidity. This product would have been better had they actually tinted the glass with color (like they do with beer bottles) and coated the bottom with enamel.
Have had the faucet not even 6 months. I am having my doubts about any glacier bay products.
Good price, looks great, eacy installation, and dureable. I love it how the sink seems to be higher then most others, really catches your eye. Great craftsman ship, quick delivery and really looks terriffic. EXTREMELY PLEASED!!!
We wanted a beautiful sink to match the glass and chrome we used for shower and shelves in our renovated master bathroom. Looked at many possibilities, including glass vessel sinks. Decided on this one, based only on the picture - but we are very happy with it! Shipped quickly, well packaged, easy install (had to find the right faucet of course, and a *vessel style drain* - no overflow). After using it a while, I would note: it shows *everything* (finger prints, soap stains, etc...) so would NOT recommend for children's bathroom. However, it cleans up very easily, and looks GREAT then (my wife seems to think it's a fair trade ;)
