I just got the Weber Q portable grill which is powered by 14 oz. or 16 oz. propane cylinders. This nifty six foot adapter allows me to use my 20 lb. propane tank from my old worn out grill. Now I have the best of both worlds. Small cylinders when I take it to the stream for a day of fishing or 20 lb. tank for the rest of the season at home. PERFECT.
Our grill cart is custom-made, and so the cover didn't quite fit (until we modified it). The cover itself, that notwithstanding is vinyl/plastic of course, and made in China (of course) and has that characeristic coal-oil smell. Very, very intense in fact. Evidently some people don't mind that .... but we find it very distracting, and sense that it cannot be healthy. Perhaps out-of-doors, the stink will diminish. If you don't mind plastic-plastic-plastic that smells ..... the cover is just fine. Why not make one just like out of medium weight canvas for those who DO NOT LIKE the smell of coal-oil plastic??
The grill cover works well and is easy to put on and take off. My only disappointment was that when I searched online for it, the Home Depot system stated that it was only available online. Latter I found that it was in the store and I could have had it earlier.
Used this grill 7 or 8 times so far cooking steaks. Followed the provided grilling guide and they came out great. It was easy to assemble and worked flawlessly. Also purchased the cover and fold up stand.
I needed a cover for my Charbroil Infrared grill. This covers it, but of course this is for the round weber and I have the oblong grill. Does the job for $10 as the Charbroil is $40+., 1/3 the cost of the grill.
Excellent product! Lights automatically when you open lid.
I just bought a Weber Q 1000 portable grill and want to keep it in "like new" condition. For me, this cover is a must-have accessory. The fabric is waterproof and feels very durable. It fits the grill perfectly, I'm a happy camper.
if you size it correctly (like a cast iron pan) and always use it on the lowest heat setting of the Weber Q. It should work perfect, I tested it over a 2 week period for a magazine article and had no problems, just treat it like a cast Iron frying pan -You can find the do's and don't on the Forge Cast Iron website
