This small grill is perfect for our crowded and modest back deck. Pros: *Minimal assembly required. Assembly is rapid and intuitive. (Please note that the hose/adaptor and stand are sold separately for ~$25 each). *Solid construction. Tolerates moderate abuse. *Intuitive operation. *Excellent heat and uniform heat distribution. Preheats quickly. Flame adjusts well. Cooks meat perfectly. *No matches required; ignites with a push-button. *Efficient. Makes a lot of heat without using a lot of propane. I once left it on all night (oops!) and there was plenty of propane left in the tank. *Separate stand is solidly constructed (in spite of being made of plastic). *Easy to transport for picnics, tailgating, etc. Cons: *Burners have upward facing holes and not enough drip shielding, so they do need periodic cleaning. *Grill tray has relatively wide bars and narrow gaps, making cleaning more difficult than more traditional designs. *Lid tends to slam, which can extinguish the flame, so close the lid gently. Overall, an excellent small grill of high quality at a reasonable price. Don't forget to purchase the separate stand and hose!
Easy to install, Battery door a bit stiff to operate, probably to keep out rain and moisture. Otherwise the grill light works just fine, lighting up over 90% of the grill area. The Q-grill cover still fits over everything as well. Auto-on feature when lid is lifted to the up position works great! It's a no brainer,-go get one....BTW why isn't this specific Q-light not already in ANY of the stores while most other options are always there?
Have yet to find lp tanks. Any help appreciated. Can't reach Weber.
My last cover blew away in the storm earlier this month. This is the same durable fabric and fits well. Missing one star because unlike the Q cover I lost, this one does not have ties to secure the cover on the grill (lot of good they did now that I am reflecting on this :)!
This grill is the best I have ever had and this is my third grill! We grill all year long several times a week and this is the crem `de la crem. Assembles in 10 minutes, is light and can be set directly on a plastic folding table for outdoor excursions without damaging the table from radiant heat. The cooking surface is perfect for 4 people, cleans easily and stores nicely. If you get this grill you will not be disappointed.
So far so good. We'll see after a few winters how well it holds up. Looks great and fits well. Kind of sucks that we always have to fold down the sides, but we knew that when we got the cover.
great cover with the velcro straps! Stronlgy recommend this cover for a Q 140 grill
THis is well built and rugged for the money. I'm not sure why they call it stationary as i use it a a mobile cart. Does what I wanted it to do easily.
if you size it correctly (like a cast iron pan) and always use it on the lowest heat setting of the Weber Q. It should work perfect, I tested it over a 2 week period for a magazine article and had no problems, just treat it like a cast Iron frying pan -You can find the do's and don't on the Forge Cast Iron website
