    Love these cedar raised planters
Very well made, aromatic, pretty easy to assemble for a DIY person! I would buy more of these

    Excellent Choice
I am very happy with the purchase of this raised planter box. It was shipped and delivered four days earlier than expected. The item was easy to assemble, all parts were clearly marked and the quality of the product is as advertised. The item is attractive and looks just like the picture. I bought this planter box to plant blueberries and it will be a perfect addition on my backyard patio. Another feature of this box is the height....now I won't have to worry about sore knees.

    Great garden bed
This was easy to put together. It took me less than 30 minutes. I am surprised how sturdy it is for the price. It looks great! I will use it exclusively for herbs but it's big enough to hold 2 large tomato plants. It is very deep too, so carrots or other root veggies would be fine as well. I will buy 2 more for my patio.

Composite Lumber Patio Raised Garden Bed Kit in Hyams White
Got my Patio bed kit today and opened the box immediately. Getting ready to plant 6 tomato plants in the bed. Well at first I was a little disappointed (NO INSTRUCTIONS),, so I laid out all the part and took a closer look. All you really need is a rubber mallet and you can assemble the planter. SO I did a quick dry fit and then had the box finished in only 6-7 minutes. Love the lower plastic that lets water flow out thru tiny pin holes so it is not a container that holds water.

Can't wait to get my plants planted in this raised garden bed.
This was super easy to put together and looks great, now I just have to wait until my seedlings are big enough to change over to this planter. It is going to look perfect in front of my house. This summer we are growing gourds, the vines provide privacy and shade this should set three plants with ease, they really suck up the water. Would look great with flowers too but my wife isn't crazy about planting something we can't eat or find a use for. Highly recommend this, plan to buy more next year ... read more or use this one as a model to build bigger ones for veggies in the back yard. Either way a great value.

    Awesome new planter
First off, this is a really nice planter. The construction and materials make it seem like it will last a long time. Also it looks like you can hook up multiple planters together if you want, which is a great feature I think I will use in the future. Having said that, the planter itself is a bit smaller than I was thinking based on the pictures (we ordered it online). Also there were NO instructions at all, just a bunch of parts. Having played with Legos extensively as a child it was very easy ... read more to figure out, the parts just click together. But I could see how someone without decent spacial awareness could have a hard time with these without instructions.

    Great raised bed
Love this raised bed. Had space too narrow for 48" wide and with many tree roots in an area that really needed sprucing-up. This was the perfect solution. I was able to stain and assemble myself, the bed is attractive as well as sturdy, and it holds a good number of plants. Plan to buy more in the future.

    Awesome garden bed
This was super easy to install- my 2 sons aged 10 and 13 did it all by themselves. It fits great in the side area of my yard where the fence and grass part. It looks great- is well made and is the perfect size for an easy to use garden area.

The product is better than I imagined.
Built solid. Love the reservoir under the dirt living in the desert you don't always water as much as you should. It's also attractive

Nice product - easy to put together
We bought this to plant lettuce in and have been using for about a week with no problems. It was very easy to put together - just pop on the legs and it's done. We also bought another type, similar size, but different style and color - white - and it took over an hour to put together - this one isn't quite as pretty, but very functional. Not sure how the water level thing is working yet, it's outside and been raining, so hasn't dried out...but the little spigot on the side at the bottom that can ... read more let out excess water is a good idea for some situations.

Gardening before purchasing two of these was back breaking. This raised bed not only makes it easy, it enables me to tend to each plant as they grow. The bottom watering feature creates healthy plants. My plants have never grown so healthy so early in the season. If I had room, I'd buy more. And they are pretty!! I placed them right by my outside dining with the lawn in the backdrop and it looks beautiful.

Lifetime 4 ft. x 4 ft. Raised Garden Bed (3-Pack)
They are lighter weight than cedar plank beds and you don't have to worry about wood splinters. The downsize of their lighter weight is the sides will bow out slightly when filled, I bought these for our vacation property where our primary soil type is sand that doesn't hold moister well. These beds allowed me create my own soil mixture using compost, peat moss and potting soil I ordered a second set of 3 after my initial purchase so I could stack 2 beds for mi asparagus and rhubarb roots so ... read more they can create a deeper root system. If I had to do it over I would use a plastic bearer (with several holes just in case we get a several inches of rain at one time) under the beds to supplement the weed bearer to minimize the loss of moisture to the sandy soil.

    raised garden bed
this product was easy to put together and seems to be really rugged. I will be able to tell more by the end of the season to see if it holds up which right now I have no doubts. the price was best that I found if things go well maybe I will buy more for next season I would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to have to built one out of wood, this just seems to be a lot easier

    Best raised beds ever!
I purchased a Lifetime raised bed kit 4 years ago and they look as good today as the day I bought them. They have held up well and were very easy for me to assemble. My kit came with a tent to extend the season - it wasn't the easiest to put on but I did figure it out and was able to enjoy fresh produce well into October. Since I have more time for gardening now, I plan on using it in the Spring this year to get a head start on the growing season too. If anyone is interested in doing raised bed ... read more gardening I would highly recommend Lifetime raised beds.

    Heavy duty paper
We used this in our garden and it works great. I've used newspaper in the past but have worried about the chemicals from the ink and paper getting into our vegetables. With this there is no need to worry. It is a bit expensive but it may be worth it if you are also concerned with chemicals leaching from newspaper or some other paper liner.

New Gardener - Found Packaging Confusing
I bought this product in store. I thought that the paper was used to line raised bed gardens before filling it with soil to keep the weeds out. Once I got home and opened the packaging, it appeared that it is used to put on top of the soil to prevent weeds from growing up through the surface of the soil. I used the paper to line the raised beds. I don't have any weeds, so I am guessing that it is working. The packaging needs to do a better job of explaining what the product is for and how to use ... read more it. The paper was heavy and seemed to be of good quality.

    Getting many compliments
Overall, I'm very happy with this item and think it looks beautiful all set up with my plants. The solar lights are pictured, but not included and it doesn't say this anywhere except on the manufacturer's website (not Home Depot's). Fortunately, I had my own I could add and a near close fit. It was relatively easy to set up, however the stickers they put on each and every individual timber piece are insanely difficult to remove and annoying. It might be a bit overpriced, but I enjoy having ... read more something really unique. I recommend going to the manufacturer's website to watch their 4 min video on how to set this up properly. Home Depot shipped it quickly, but the 2 boxes arrived on separate days which kept me from being able to set it up right away.

    Really more like 4.5
I really like the bed. Unlike some of the previous reviewers I found detailed instructions online, however I would make an adjustment to those instructions. It is silly to put the star layer together upside down and flip it. It loses it shape! The best thing to do is assemble the inside points of the star without pounding the stakes into the ground, then add the the second tier to be sure everything will fit exactly right. Once that is done the outer tips of the star can be easily moved to the ... read more correct position to assemble. There were also previous comments about hard to remove labels. That is no longer a problem; they peel off easily and are placed so that it isn't really necessary to remove them.

Large raised bed; design not easily seen
I loved this raised bed when I saw it online. It was much larger than I anticipated even though I knew it was 8 foot. The design is not easily seen because of the sheer size of the bed, though. It's a little awkward looking in my yard, but I hope once the flowers are in and get to a decent size, it will be prettier. I received 2 boxes of parts, neither of which had instructions. I had to go online and print them. However, my husband said it was easy to put together. Because of the height of the ... read more middle section, it takes a LOT of soil/mulch to fill this thing!

    Attractive, Sturdy and Durable
The NewTechWood Patio Raised Garden Bed Kit is great for the “DIY” gardener or Pro. We are impressed with how sturdy it is, durable and easy to assemble. It comes well packed in a box with a shipping weight of 29 lbs. No instructions were included so printed the one page instruction guide on-line. The assembly requires no tools; all the parts snap together. The base is made up of a heavy plastic grid-work. The base is covered with a flexible plastic aeration sheet that effectively retains all ... read more the soil or sand while allowing even drainage for great root development. The body of the bed is constructed of a heavy duty plastic composite that should never warp or rot. This unit can also be used as an excellent sand box. Good quality and function well in a variety of scenarios
I got it nicely packaged with all part included. To assemble it, I followed the step-by-step pictures posted on this product page at Home Depot site. I had no trouble putting it together. The entire concept is much like putting Lego pieces together. It required no tools and every part was a snug fit. Any adult can assemble it within 10 minutes without trouble. Frame material is plastic, light weight, does not require any stain. The base grid is not made to support the weight of the soil, its ... read more whole purpose is to not let the soil bleed out of the container. The size is decent and works well for flower, vegetable garden or use for sandbox. I had been using it for my flower bed which is now ruined by a 20” snow storm. Now looking forward to spring time to set up vegetable bed next to my patio. I actually had been using its smaller size that came with 100% same material and base, just the smaller size. It has seen extreme heat, heavy snow and many heavy pours. With such exposure to weather, its color is still the same, no cracks on the frame, perforated sheet contained the soil with no bleed in sight and the base grill has held really well. I expect nothing different with this bigger sized bed. Overall, I am happy with its quality and how well it function in a variety of scenarios. I recommend it with confidence.

    Tough garden bed, great size
I wanted a garden this year but have a lot of deer and rabbit around. I have this weird 1960's shed that looks like a pillbox fort. I put the garden bed up there with some other potted plants to keep pests away. Assembly was easy. There were no instructions in the box but I didn't need them. There is a video online if you need it. Everything clicks together pretty easily, it took five minutes. The side boards are made of a fiberglass composite looking material and are pretty strong. One of ... read more the grid squares on the bottom was broken in shipment (see picture). I put it in the middle and it doesn't seem to affect the structural integrity at all. On top of the grid squares goes two perforated plastic sheets (small holes). The white finish on the garden bed is a bit bright in the sun. I used an online garden bed calculator and filled it with four 1.5 cubic foot soil bags (6 cu ft total). Wet, its over 200 lbs of soil so make sure you have the garden bed where you want it. The walls held up when I compressed it a little. The garden bed has enough room for two tomato plants and I will grow cucumber and peas in it as well. Pretty much, enough room for four plants. I am glad this product exists and recommend it for patios and other similar surfaces.
