    New generator
The generator works great. Easy setup, starts on the first pull.

I was recently on a jobsite. The general contractor could not provide enough power using rented generators. I got tired of running out of power. So, I purchased the Generac GP5500 and fired it up on the site for my crews use. As the day went on I noticed other subcontractors were running their extension cords over to my generator. The next day I arrived on the site, and the electrician had wired the interior building lights to the generator. Now, all the lights were LED ceiling lights but it ran ... read more all the lights as well as provided power to trade equipment. WHAT A GENERATOR!!!!

Generac Generator With Briggs and Startton Engine
Got this generator 12 years ago and have used it as primary power when hunting in mountains of New Mexico and as emergency power for ranch when power goes out. Have run it for 12 or more hours at a time with no issues. After 12 years of out door use I have just now had to do some minor repairs on the Briggs and Stratton Engine, the service life of these engines are great. Almost all my gas power equipment has a Briggs and Stratton gas engine because they are the top of the line and work when the ... read more chips are down.

    Great Product
I bought this generator as I'm remodeling a home that I recently purchased that has no electricity. So getting lighting and power tools working onsite was a necessity. After delivery I un-boxed the generator, assembled per the instructions, added oil, and started it up. It started first pull at half choke and ran for 3 straight hours right out of the box. After 5 hours on day 2, as per the instructions, I changed the oil. I'm currently at 25 running hours with this generator running everyday for ... read more 3-4 hours and I haven't had a single problem. All in all, it's run great so far. I've only had to change the oil and add gas. Costs roughly $1 per hour in gasoline consumption, however, I'm running fairly light loads such as lights, a small compressor, and power tools. Purchase price was a little high in comparison to other brands/models but I've always liked and had good luck with Briggs and Stratton engines, so for me the extra cost vs maintenance and hassle is worth it.

starts on the first pull, excellent generator
I was lucky that the home depot got a shipment of these generator in. I had to replace a cheap generator that failed during sandy, and could not find parts to repair it. This generator is built rock solid, starts on the first pull, it has plenty of power and I was able run power to my neighbors house. Ran it 12hrs a day for 5 days, It gives very stable power and had no problem running electronic equipment, washer, dryer, fridge. If you want a quality generator this is it, don't waste your money ... read more on a cheap generator

    Generac GP17500
I recently received my new Generac GP17500 generator and it came complete with everything I needed to make power except fuel. It is one of the quietest smoothest running portable units I have ever used. A portable generator is essential to my farming operations for running all types of portable power equipment, This unit is well built and will provide many years of steady power for my farming operations. Overall I feel it is the best value in a portable generator on the market today. I would ... read more highly recommend this unit to anyone considering a unit of this size.

    Great Stand By Generator
I purchased this unit about 5 years ago when it came complete with the transfer switch, all cords and wired panel box. Installed it and it now runs my entire house when we have power outages, which is getting more and more frequent. The generator doesn't even 'grunt' when the the stove, microwave, dryer are in use. Great product.

    Huricane Worthy...
We used this generator to power the house during the aftermath of Huricane IKE. It ran 24/7 for 12 days straight, minus times for oil check/fill. It ran a 3.5 ton A/C unit and furnace, second furnace blower, 6 ceiling fans, lighting in 8 rooms, 3 box fans, microwave. It was working hard at times, but we were pushing it to its limits. Bought a tri-fuel conversion kit off of the net. Cost about $44 a day on Natural gas. Runs better on gasoline, but when gas stations have no power you have no choice.

Started up on the first pull
We bought this generator the day my town was hit by a very severe thunderstorm. My town was placed under a state of emergency. There was a lot of structural damage to homes, business and of course power lines. I needed power quick to repair my roof damage from fallen trees. This generater powered my circular saw, two refrigerators, one small bedroom AC wall unit and several lights with ease. I ran it continuously for two and a half days. Its relatively quiet and real easy to move around. Overall ... read more it's a great buy.

    Great features
Haven't used yet in power outage but did start up. Started right up, quiet. East to move around with two handles. Have been pricing around and this was a good price

    great for the price
pulled it out of the box, put on rubber legs, added oil ( more than the recommended .42 quarts seems to spill out), fuel and ran it over thirty hours for a several nights of camping. Had to dig it a sump because it is a little too loud. It powered ac/fan or heat and a few lights on its small fuel tank for nearly 10 hours as advertized. don't use cheesy extension cord, 15 amp minimum you can't beat the price and efficiency.

Great Little Generator! Efficient, pretty quiet, good power!
This generator was delivered on 10/29 at 1 pm and I lost power 3 hrs later for 10 days! This was the best money I ever spent. Added oil and gas started on 2nd pull. Ran 2 full size fridges and a couple lights, chargers etc no problem. Only has one outlet so used tee all the time. After starting added I fridge let it stabilize then added the other. Wife and 9 year old started it easily. Ran 10 hrs plus on one tank no problem. Used very little gas overall as opposed to my inlaws that was powerful ... read more but thirsty, and gas lines were long. Good riddance Hurricane Sandy! Highly recommended! Good Buy
I bought one and intend on buying a second. The price is good and the product seems very durable. The only drawback is the noise level,,,out in the woods it drowns out the creek near by. So I'll build a sound booth. : )

    Excellent Generator
This is a well-built and well-designed machine. The picture shows it running our refrigerator, 2 fans, and a lamp. It's easy to start and use, with minimal set-up needed. The engine runs smoothly and handles the electrical load easily. When I researched generators, this machine had the best reviews on reliability, quality, and warrantee in its price range. When I first received it, I couldn't start it because I had the choke set too low. The service desk personnel at Westinghouse were very ... read more helpful. When I moved the choke to the middle position, it started right up. I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend this generator. We are ready for the next big storm.

Great value made even better with free shipping.
I am very happy with the 3250 Westinghouse generator. The shipping was free and the price was the best I could find. The handles and wheels took me about 2 minutes to install and it started on the first pull. It is also quiet and I believe I will get many years of use from this product.

Outstanding Generator at a great price
After the power outages from this past year, I purchased this generator online from home depot. It was shipped directly to my house and was delivered with no issues or damage. I was able to quickly assemble the few items that needed to be installed (wheels, handles, etc) and tried it out immediately. The instructions that came with it were good, and the generator started with the first pull (easy not difficult at all). I hooked it up to a live load and it worked fine. Not too noisy either. Solid Unit
This unit has everything you are looking for in portable power at a reasonable price. It is easy to operate and for those who don't want to deal with gasoline, etc. it's a must have. The fact I can easily transport this unit and utilize my existing LP tanks has me thinking how versatile it is (remodeling, camping, tailgating, etc.). It's well built and comes with a two year warranty if there is an issue. Enjoy!

    Great So Far
Pros: - Price is excellent for a 3250 Watt propane generator. - Started right up and ran 2 x 1650 Watt heaters without a hiccup. - Nice digital multi-meter shows frequency, Voltage, run time. - Relatively light compared to others of this rating. - Compact design compared to others. - High quality powder coat is ding and scratch proof. - Aluminum generator end housing and bearing support (for those of you who remember the bad old days of Powermate with plastic end housing). - Supplied by PRAMAC, ... read more a world-class generator company. Cons: - Kinda funky transport handle arrangement - but they thoughtfully provided a toe step so you can easily tilt up to roll on the big main wheels. - Big main wheels are kinda wobbly and need some additional washer shimming. - One of the aluminum castings looks a little iffy, showing 1/16" voids where it was machined off. - Instruction manual parts list reference numbers do not match reference numbers on the exploded diagram. - (Not the fault of the generator!) HD's shipper in the southeast is dazed and confused. Every time I called them they said it was on the truck, but it wasn't. I needlessly took a day off from work (lost $$) for them to deliver, but they didn't. After I raised a stink a gentleman brought it out to my house in the trunk of his large car. I am less than 15 miles from the PRAMAC America warehouse.

    A good backup for emergencies
It is a neat, compact and well enginered generator. I did a lot of reading, comparing and researching portable generators over the last couple of years.I did not find any that I was sold on until this came out this year. I wanted a propane generator for the safety of not storing gasoline and propanes stability and shelf life. This unit has the power and economy to keep my essentials on during a power outage.A few things to note if you do purchase one.Do not choke the carb.unless it is cold ... read more temps.Open propane tank valve slowly to charge fuel line.Give the carb.fill button a very quick push to not flood the carb.Pull the crank rope straight up at the 12o'clock position and crank until it fires up usually 3 or 4 cranks.I learned these tricks by talking to the factory rep.and my own trial and error.

    Neighbors are jealous
Bought this thing last night along with the cord to plug in to my switch panel ( $69 additional by ridged ) I put the wheels on, filled it with gas and oil and fired her up. It started immediately and purred like a kitten, actually more like a lion. I haven't had the chance yet to put it to use but I'm sure it will be great. It holds 6 gallons of gas which is excellent. I feel confident in this investment.

    Great Buy
I purchased this unit three (3) days ago. Our power has been out for the last four (4) days. I have ran it for about 30 hours total with no issues. It is powering a well pump, fridge, tv, xbox, dvd, computers, lights & others items with no issues. It starts up great and runs all items with no issues. Being Ryobi I thought it would be a little cheap, but it is quailty made. The parts are sturdy and it was very easy to assemble. Put the legs and wheels on, fill it with the oil (included) and gas, good to go.
