    Great lil generator
Perfect for my Camping needs. I mounted it onto my cargo carrier on the back of my RV. It started on the first pull, and has continued to start on the first pull every time. As generators go it is reasonably quiet to me. Obviously if you are right next to it, it is fairly loud. I walked about 50 yards away and could not hear it at the campground amongst all the other background noise from kids playing etc. If I ever have a power failure at the house I can always fire up the generator and meet my ... read more power needs. I can lift it by myself, but I highly recommend having two people do it. Of course it comes with all the hardware needed to make it portable on wheels as well, but for my application, easier for me to leave the wheels off. I love Home Depots 6 months same as cash deal, especially if you are on a tight budget. This is an excellent little generator and I hope to get many many years of service out of it. Good price for a generator and the shipping was pretty quick.

    Great features
Haven't used yet in power outage but did start up. Started right up, quiet. East to move around with two handles. Have been pricing around and this was a good price

Made it thru Hurricane Irene and Nor'Easter in Oct 2011
We bought this generator before Hurricane Irene and it went to work the moment the storm took out power to our house. It ran continuously from Sunday at 5am until the FOLLOWING Sunday at 12pm. We ran our sump pump off of it along with our refrigerator and a power strip to charge some electronics and watch TV. Now two months later, the nor'easter that hit Connecticut knocked out our power again and this time the generator ran from Saturday at 3pm until the FOLLOWING Sunday at 6pm. I did not turn ... read more it off to refuel or to change the oil like I should have. The small investment we made for this equipment paid for itself in keeping our finished basement dry and our sanity being without electricity for over a week per storm. With a fresh oil change, its now ready for the next event whenever that may be!

    Excellent piece of equipment!!
Started on 1st pull and 1st electric start. Also ran excellent on LPG. Ran better than I had imagined. Hooked up on 2 110v campers and didn't hardly put a load on it. Let it run 1 night til it ran out of gas. Filled it up and started on 1st pull. The noise wasn't that bad either. Was able to sleep without any problem. All in all it was an excellent 4 day camping trip. Would highly recommend it to anyone!! Was well built and flawless out of the box. Great features and ease of plugging in ... read more different power sources as well as operation. different Thanks for an excellent running machine!!

    Great Generator
This is an "out of the box" review of the product. Generator appears to be exactly what we were looking for after a series of bad weather related power outages in my mothers rural area. Her neighbors are now thanking her profusely for obtaining this generator since the weather there has turned unseasonably warm and mild since purchase. So the unit has yet to run for extended periods under real world conditions. Only real gripe is the generator came without a battery for the electric start ... read more feature, which to me seems incomplete. Once equipped with a battery and the appropriate electrical connecting wires, it ran well in a load test which included refrigerator, two small freezers, TV, about four lights and a small video surveillance system.

    Awesome Generator
I purchased this generator as a backup power supply for my house, excellent value and when it came in I put oil in it, attached my propane tank, and unit fired right up and works awesome!!!! Wish it had an hour meter, but I definitely recommend the propane, my tank was nearly empty and it ran for 2 hours and never missed a beat.......I did run it for an hour then changed the oil but oil looked brand new when it came out. Went down to O'Reilly's and easily got battery to fit, a bit pricey but ... read more electric start is the way to go.

    Neighbors are jealous
Bought this thing last night along with the cord to plug in to my switch panel ( $69 additional by ridged ) I put the wheels on, filled it with gas and oil and fired her up. It started immediately and purred like a kitten, actually more like a lion. I haven't had the chance yet to put it to use but I'm sure it will be great. It holds 6 gallons of gas which is excellent. I feel confident in this investment.

    Great Buy
I purchased this unit three (3) days ago. Our power has been out for the last four (4) days. I have ran it for about 30 hours total with no issues. It is powering a well pump, fridge, tv, xbox, dvd, computers, lights & others items with no issues. It starts up great and runs all items with no issues. Being Ryobi I thought it would be a little cheap, but it is quailty made. The parts are sturdy and it was very easy to assemble. Put the legs and wheels on, fill it with the oil (included) and gas, good to go.

    Good value for the price.
After some simple assembly I was ready to test the unit. I purchased the preset propane regulator from the manufacturer. The unit started on propane on the first try with electric start. It switched easily from propane to gasoline. It is important to follow manufactuer's suggested steps. The grammar in the directions manual needs some revision to eliminate confusion. I tested the unit with a load and it performed better on gasoline than on propane. The manual does mention this. I feel prepared ... read more for the next outtage.

    Great Purchase
Well to start I purchased this unit after sandy....who new we would get a storm this powerful but Staten island is prone to power outages... to start I have used this with gas no problem ,had a natural gas line installed and a manual transfer switch even better, I am set now no more waiting on lines for gas no permits and its portable . also I can run almost anything except central air and washer and dryer but the rest of my house good Remember to get the most out of this unit in N.Y. get a ... read more natural gas line, manual transfer switch(which total cost of them was approx 1300)also once a month give it an oil change would love the automatic but rather save 12000 . so the total package 2400 for peace of mind

    good so far
Easy to set up. It seems you get a lot for your money. Pretty heavy and pretty noisy but worked perfectly on my test. Have not used it yet in an actual power outage.

    Great So Far
Pros: - Price is excellent for a 3250 Watt propane generator. - Started right up and ran 2 x 1650 Watt heaters without a hiccup. - Nice digital multi-meter shows frequency, Voltage, run time. - Relatively light compared to others of this rating. - Compact design compared to others. - High quality powder coat is ding and scratch proof. - Aluminum generator end housing and bearing support (for those of you who remember the bad old days of Powermate with plastic end housing). - Supplied by PRAMAC, ... read more a world-class generator company. Cons: - Kinda funky transport handle arrangement - but they thoughtfully provided a toe step so you can easily tilt up to roll on the big main wheels. - Big main wheels are kinda wobbly and need some additional washer shimming. - One of the aluminum castings looks a little iffy, showing 1/16" voids where it was machined off. - Instruction manual parts list reference numbers do not match reference numbers on the exploded diagram. - (Not the fault of the generator!) HD's shipper in the southeast is dazed and confused. Every time I called them they said it was on the truck, but it wasn't. I needlessly took a day off from work (lost $$) for them to deliver, but they didn't. After I raised a stink a gentleman brought it out to my house in the trunk of his large car. I am less than 15 miles from the PRAMAC America warehouse.

    Solid Unit
This unit has everything you are looking for in portable power at a reasonable price. It is easy to operate and for those who don't want to deal with gasoline, etc. it's a must have. The fact I can easily transport this unit and utilize my existing LP tanks has me thinking how versatile it is (remodeling, camping, tailgating, etc.). It's well built and comes with a two year warranty if there is an issue. Enjoy!

    A good backup for emergencies
It is a neat, compact and well enginered generator. I did a lot of reading, comparing and researching portable generators over the last couple of years.I did not find any that I was sold on until this came out this year. I wanted a propane generator for the safety of not storing gasoline and propanes stability and shelf life. This unit has the power and economy to keep my essentials on during a power outage.A few things to note if you do purchase one.Do not choke the carb.unless it is cold ... read more temps.Open propane tank valve slowly to charge fuel line.Give the carb.fill button a very quick push to not flood the carb.Pull the crank rope straight up at the 12o'clock position and crank until it fires up usually 3 or 4 cranks.I learned these tricks by talking to the factory rep.and my own trial and error.

All the features plus quality & value
We bought this portable generator to use at our rural property in central Texas and put it to work the first week after pick-up from local HD. It has powered a 90-lb. jackhammer, a concrete mixer, and a chop-saw without a hiccup. Studied long before purchase and found a brand that offered features that mattered to me. Electric start (I'm 62), fuel shut-off (I can run the carb dry for storage), battery charger with plug-in port on machine), easy enough to ramp onto a utility trailer. The ... read more hour-meter is nice, too. This machine is sturdy and well made. Construction grade comes to mind. Very pleased with purchase.

This product has a remarkable starting ability never had one problem
I live in a single home with oil heat and during the winter I need something to run all of the major things in the house if my power is lost this generator for the price is the best purchase that I've ever made it starts every time on the first or second pull I never had a problem with the needing more power than it supplies and if I do overload the circuit The Breakers work and help me to be confident so that my family is not left in the dark

Started right up, even a 110 pound person like me can do this
Although I needed help to get it situated due to its weight, once the wheels were on, I was off and running by myself as a 110 pound woman with arthritis. The generator started right up. The starting directions are adhered right on top of the generator so in the time of power failure, the steps to start it are right there and easy to do. I have run some extension cords and placed them in semi permanent locations to make it even easier to switch important electrically run items over to this neat ... read more generator during a power failure. This one makes less noise than I expected. It looks to be easy to maintain and gas is easy to get into it. Glad I bought this one.

    Affordable and adequate
We just hooked ours up to our home and will be able to run our furnace (gas), refrigerator, freezer, 2 CPAP machines, a few lights and when we shut down one of the above...we can watch TV and use the computer. Our appliances are newer and use fewer amps than older models. We are pleased with what this model will do.

Owned for years, still works reliablly, and quietly!
I have owned this generator for almost four years. I live in Maine, where winters can be harsh, so a generator is as important as snow tires around here. We do not lose power often, but when we do, the generator has performed perfectly each time. I custom-made a wire so that I could plug the generator into my transfer switch, and give power to our home when needed. Granted, it does not power everything in the house - it is a 2500 Watt/20 Amp model, which is a relatively small generator. That ... read more said, running lights, TV, Satellite, fan-forced gas fireplace can all run at the same time. If we need to operate the toaster, microwave, or coffee maker (all run at about 1200 Watts continuous), we just need to ensure to use only one of those items at a time, and for good measure we unplug the fridge temporarily, so as not to overload the generator. This may sound like an inconvenience, but it is a lot less inconvenient than freezing your butt off in your own home during a snow or ice storm. What is extemely important when operating this, or any other gasoline generator, is regular maintenance. It is all in the owners manual, that being: checking the oil before each use, oil changes (I changed mine every six months, regardless of usage), cleaning the air filter, spark plug changes, starting the generator up and running it every few weeks for 15 to 20 minutes at a time, closing the fuel valve and leave the choke open when not in use, keeping the generator clean, warm it up for a few minutes before plugging electrical components into it, only plug in one high wattage item at at a time, waiting for the machine to run smoothly before plugging in the next one, and do not overload it. I own many small engine items, such as a lawn tractor, chain saw, lawn mower, chipper-shredder, and more. When I use this generator, I still cannot get over how quiet (relatively) it runs. I would not want to have a romantic dinner conversation sitting next to the machine, but whenever the power goes out in my neighborhood, where lots are one to seven acres, I can hear my neighbors' generators echoing more so than my own. The manufacturer states that this machine can run "8 Hours at 1/2 Load on 4 Gallons of Fuel." Much to my surprise, however, during an ice storm in 2008, we once ran the generator for 16 hours without running out of gas. Granted, we were probably not running it at full or probably even half-load, but I was still amazed. In addition, this machine has 12 Volt leads on it, so I have used it to jump start my car (dead battery) on ocassion. The engine is made in China, which one would probably guess with the low price. The engine manufacturer is Chongqing Dajiang Power Equipment. Their engines are used all over the world for every kind of small combustion engine imaginable, from generators to motorcycles. I cannot comment on the reliablility of their other products, but this generator has performed well. I have not needed to buy any replacement parts for it yet (other than the spark plug), but you can buy them from All Power America, or Sears Parts Direct. Following the same guidelines that you would follow to take care of your car, lawn mower, or any other gasoline powered engine, will likely give you years of reliable usage from this fine piece of equipment.

    Excellent generator
Easy to assemble. Started right up on the pull start. Needed to charge the battery but when changed, the electric start worked flawlessly. No missing parts and packaged well for delivery. It was easy to add the gas. Oil came with the unit and you just need a funnel to add it to the unit. Hooking the battery cables up took a little dexterity since it was in tight quarters. Overall, very satisfied with the unit and performance so far. Noise? I expected it to be louder but it was very acceptable. ... read more It has wheels and a pull handle that folds down. There is a release button that changes the handle position from down to pull position.

    Powerful
This thing is big. It's very powerful and provides ample wattage for normal use. The wheels are great for moving this generator around. I like that they are never flat wheels. I don't have to worry about storing the generator for a long time and the wheels would deflate. Fuel meter is excellent. I can see how much is runtime is left. Electric start makes it simple to use. Overall, it's a great generator for everyday purpose.

I'm ready for the ice storms this winter!
What a quality generator! I love the Dewalt brand and I know I can trust them to make a quality tool. I'm planning to use this generator to power my fridge, freezer, two furnaces, television, cable/internet and lights. 7000 watts RMS will get you a LONG way! Some of the great features of this unit are the electric start, the throttle control based on load and the simple fact that this monster is actually fairly quiet considering how powerful it is. Break it in when you first get it by running ... read more it for about 5 hours on half load. I used an old space heater to load it up. This generator comes with a 30amp, 220V connector that you can use to drive a generator bypass. It also has two 15amp 110v, GFCI, dual outlet terminals. Overall, a great buy and a quality product.
