    Really works!
Used Start for my lawn mower when I had trouble getting it running for the grass cutting season, had it up and running in minutes!

    Used It On My Lawnmower
I have a lawnmower that dates back to the 1970s. I use it weekly during the summer and bi-weekly in the winter. I try to take care of my lawnmower with blades and oil, but never thought to inject it with a cleaner in the gas tank. So I tried this product and I was a bit leery when I saw the directions say use a half of bottle in a full tank; if it does not start, use the full bottle. I did not know just what it would do to my mower. But in the end, I followed the directions and cranked it up. It ... read more worked great. It had a nice even hum to it. I have no idea what is actually in the product, nor what it exactly cleans, but if it makes it run smooth, I will try it. So far, so good. Glad I tried it.

    Not for my purpose
I had a generator that had been sitting for a few years with old gas. We removed the old gas, added fresh gas along with Start Your Engines. Sprayed starting fluid into carburetor and it would start, but then stall out immediately. So I believe there is a clog in the carburetor that is not even letting this product go through. So I can't give a fair review in my situation. It might be a great product for other situations.

    From my experience, it works.
When I buy gasoline, I add a dose of this and a double dose of Sta-bil fuel stabilizer. My understanding has been that Sta-bil prevents oxidation of fuel during storage and Ethanol Shield prevents damage related to ethanol. I cannot verify either of those claims, but what I can say is that I have stored 2-cycle mixes for my blower and trimmer and straight gasoline for my Honda mower for more than a year and even after that duration I've experienced no fuel related problems. My mower starts on ... read more the first or second pull and the 2-cycle motors all start and run as when the fuel was first mixed. I will say that I drain the fuel from my mower and trimmer for the winter months (I use the blower year round). Still, you cannot argue with 1 or 2 pull starts on year-old fuel. Which product is responsible for how much of this I cannot say for sure, but I will say that I have found a combination that works well so I'm sticking with it.

    Best stabilizer on the market
I worked as a parts person in one of the largest Stihl dealers in the U.S. We researched all the products extensively and Ethanol Shield is the best on the market and is a necessity when running ethanol fuel in small equipment. I use it as a stabilizer in straight fuel as well as mixed fuel for 2 cycle engines. For equipment that won't start or runs rough, use Mechanic in a Bottle.

    Ethanol Shield
This is a great product that is needed today due to the engine-harming amounts of ethanol being put in our gasoline. Many people are unaware of the damage ethanol does to engines. Home Depot only carries small bottles in the store and larger bottles must be special ordered. Larger bottles, including 32 oz. should be available in your stores. Home Depot should also promote the product. I have no business interest in Ethanol Shield...I'm a consumer of the product.

    Sta-Bil Ethanol Treatment
I had a Hard Time Finding it so I Asked for Help and Someone Came to Assist Me Right Away to Show Me Where it was and Also Told Me How Much to Use in My Fuel!

    Great Product
I have been using the Marine Formula Stabil in my 1962 327, 300 hp, Impala SS for almost 3 years. I have no driveability issues using it with Chevron Supreme E-10 gasoline.

Best gas additive I've ever used.
I own a lawn maintenance company and have used many fuel additives. This one is by far the best quality I've ever used and I use it in everything. Also you cannot harm your equipment by using too much.

    Economical in the long run
I picked up a couple of cans of Trufuel 50:1 premix at the same time that I bought my new Echo PB-250LN gas blower at Home Depot in order to start out on the right foot and avoid future problems with my 2-stroke power tool. It seems that there are increasing problems with 2-stroke engines that are caused by ethanol in gas, even when using additives such as Sta-Bil. I use this blower sparingly, and expect to consume at most 2 quart cans of TruFuel per year, which will only cost me about $5 more ... read more per year than mixing my own gas and oil, and is well worth avoiding the possibility of costly repairs and running problems. So far I have used my blower three times, and it has started easily and run cleanly each time. The motor runs strongly and revs quickly to full speed. There is absolutely no visible exhaust smoke and almost no discernible exhaust odors. After shutdown, there is no visible oil or carbon in the muffler, and no gas vapors. I am very pleased with this product, and feel that it is well worth the added cost over mixing gas and oil.

    great product. equipment loves it!!
This stuff will make your equipment last longer and run stronger!!!! Couple of people are knocking this product because of the price. Yeah it is expensive but if it makes your equipment run cleaner and last longer I do believe it is worth the extra money. With the gas with ethanol in them is what ruins the carbs on the outdoor power equipment and if you read the owners manual they tell you to run 92 octane or better. So, this stuff is ethanol free and 92+ octane. I'm sold on it and recommend ... read more everyone to buy this stuff!!!

    Great, easy to use product
I just purchased my first 2-cycle gas power head with a brush cutter attachment and I saw Trufuel on the shelf nearby when looking for oil. I picked up a bottle of this after being nervous about mixing gas and oil for the first time. This product is GREAT! I don't have to worry about clogging up my cutter with ethanol fuel and the container is small and lightweight, which makes it easier to take with me in heavily brushy areas. I am going to purchase the 6-pack case next and have it on hand.

    Small engine shop
We use this product in our heated ultra sonic cleaning machine for internal cleaning of all 2-cycle engine carburetors. First clean the exterior surfaces of the carburetor in your parts washer. Disassemble the carburetor. No need to remove the welsh plugs. Use "Mechanic In A Bottle" full strength in your ultra sonic machine heated to 110 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes. Re-assemble the carburetor. In most cases the metering valve, the fuel pump and their gaskets will not need replacing unless ... read more they are damaged. We have experienced a 98% success rate using the above method for cleaning hand held equipment carburetors! The MIB can be re-used for numerious cleanings.

    Worth the Money
Not a miracle cure-all but well worth trying. I've used this in several of my lawn and garden tools and it really does seem to help a lot. The biggest thing is to use less then 10% ethanol gas. Mid grade or higher gas and this product really does make them run much better. I was even able to get my neighbor's lawnmower to stop sputtering like a yo-yo!

    Great for cleaning gummy carbs
Used this for cleaning a gummed up carb on my generator that would not start after years of sitting. After following the directions, the generator fired right up on the first pull. Great stuff.

    Works like a charm!
I have a nearly 20 year old Toro snow blower that used to be a nightmare to start. I know how to properly mix oil/gas at the correct ratio and always used fuel stabilizer. After having my carburetor cleaned constantly my mechanic recommended this premixed POWERFUEL AND I have not had a problem the last two years using it! Blower starts on the first pull every time(electric start broken). Love this product, little pricey but worth it because it works for me.

    Good product
In reference to Jimstheman's review. That's all well and good if you have ethanol free gas available to you. The problem is, not everyone has that luxury. I don't, so I pay the extra to use the boutique fuels. I have Stihl equipment and typically use the Stihl Moto-Mix. My nephew uses Echo equipment and he uses the Powerfuel. I've tried it a couple of times and saw no difference between it and the Moto-Mix from Stihl. Price is comparable between the two and I can get the Moto-Mix easily so ... read more that's what I use, but wouldn't hesitate to use the Powerfuel in situations where I couldn't get Moto-Mix.

    Simplicity at its best
We received a can of this fluid with our Echo Trimmer as part of the Stuff Stuff test program. We have always mixed our own fuel for weed eaters. But not anymore! The ease of opening the fuel and not worrying about mixing properly or using the wrong gas makes this product well worth purchasing. We will definitely use this in the future

THIS 2-CYCLE OIL WAS JUST WHAT WE NEEDED
NEEDED 2-CYCLE OIL FOR THE CHAINSAW AT WORK. THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT, WORKS WELL.

    Great Stuff
Synthetic, is the only oil for all lawn equipment. I use it in every gas engined thing that I own. (Car's included.) It is clean, (older mowers quit smoking when the oil was changed to synthetic.) Rule 1) Break the engine in on standard oil, so that the rings and valves will seat. (I use about 8,000 miles for cars, and about 1 year for lawn equipment, using standard "mineral" oil.) Rule 2) Change synthetic a bit less often than Mineral oil, but do change it, (Crankcase.) This is the closest that ... read more I can find, for mixing on 2 cycle engines. I wish that it didn't have the mixed "mineral oil" with it, (that forms ash in the engine,) BUT, AS SAID; IT'S THE BEST THAT I CAN FIND THROUGH "RETAIL OUTLETS!"
