3m makes 3000, 4000, 42000 and 52000. This is 5200, it is PERMANENT. do not use if you ever want to take something apart... ever! It is used to put the deck on hulls of boats! 95% of the time a consumer really wants 4000 or 4200, both are very strong but will come apart if need be. About the only way to get past 5200 once it has cured is with a piano wire saw, and that presumes you can get to it with a piano wire saw.
Good boot adhesive
The rubber soles of my boots were de-laminating from the leather body. I searched a few hiking forums, and 5200 was one of the recommended adhesives to repair it.
I can verify it works really well! I treated it like any other adhesive, including clamping it for 24 hours. Then went on a 20 mile hike, and all is well. It holds and it is waterproof.

nit picking. It was still a lot cheaper than throwing the boots away or professional repair.
Easy to remove. Use a heat gun to warm the part (if possible) then use the heat gun to heat the putty knife blade as hot as possible, Push the blade through the adhesive - reheat the blade and repeat as neded. That is how we boaters do it.
