GREAT and EASY flooring option for the basement!
This was beyond my expectations. The coverage was amazing and our floor looks great! *Tip- the pot life is 16 hours after mixing the two components together. I could not complete the job in that time so I stuck the can in the fridge and it worked fine over a period of 3 days! So if you have to stretch out the job to more than 16 hours, dont worry..... just stick the mixed epoxy in the fridge! I would use this again in a heartbeat, very highly recommended for basement floors.

    Highly recommend
This did a fantastic job on our back porch which we turned into a game room...The floor looks great and was a breeze to finish. I did a lot of research before purchasing this product and would buy it again in a heartbeat....

    This stuff is awesome!
I am NOT the painting, handy, crafty woman at all... This stuff covered my concrete stamped floor perfectly!!! We have a back house with stamped, colored, concrete flooring. The floor was not originally sealed correctly (if at all?) and then painted with regular White acrylic paint. I don't know why? But it was horrible!! I thought I had to remove all the paint before applying the epoxy, so that took a lot of time and was a nightmare! It was such a pain I didn't get it all up and just decided to ... read more go over what I had missed. After all that I think I could have just painted over the acrylic. As of today it looks Great! The epoxy went on smooth, thick, clean, very easy and more than enough! The tan is very light (I didn't use the flakes), shinny, and almost looks like tile with the stamped concrete. I would definitely recommend and use again!

Drylok Epoxy used on Garage Floor
I purchased this product after much research for use on my garage floor. about 8 years ago I had previously coated the floor with the standard garage 2 part epoxy. It was starting to chip where the tires from my cars sat and needed to be redone. The day before I applied the new epoxy, I emptied the garage of items, did a simple cleaning of the floor with soap and water with a mop and let it sit to dry overnite. I used one gallon of the Drylok for a 22x22 two car garage. It coated excellent and I ... read more had enough left over to do a second coat to the small areas where my tires sat after the initial 4 hours of setting. I then left the epoxy to dry 24 hours and put all the items back and then a total of 4 days before driving on it. It works great. It's been 2 months with the last week of 90 degree weather and there is no hot tire peel or any issues! It looks and coated great. Only issue I am worried about is how slippery it will be when wet as I did not put anti slip material on it during application.

Very good product, perfect for garage floor
I used this for my garage, prior to apply the epoxy, cleaned and washed out the floor, then used grease remover to clean the oil or grease spots, cleaning must be done well, then I used a BEHR brand concrete primer. After applying the primer applied the first coat of E1, it covers pretty good as in the picture but you definitely need to put the second coat. Used a 3/8 nap roller. It is water based and easy to work with. My garage is 20x20ft and a 1 gallon is more than enough for two coats. ... read more Haven't parked my car yet so if anything comes up will update it here.

Great paint for basement floor as well as Drylok for walls
Of course it is a lot of work & muscle to paint cinderblock foundation and concrete floor, but it was well worth the effort. This Drylok seemed to work just fine. Looks great & so clean.

    Excellent Durability
I painted the garage floor in my last home with this solvent based system and never had an issue. I subjected the floor to tough abuse including jack stands. You have to hit it with heavy force to pierce the paint (enough to hit into the concrete itself). Tire peel is non-existent. Great product and I came on the website today to find it for my new house. My painter is recommending another product, but I am hesitant to use it after my satisfaction with this Rustoleum floor paint.

    PLEASED FROM TENNESSEE
MY FIRST TIME TO USE THIS PRODUCT. I FOUND IT MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT I HAVE USED IN THE PAST. IT COVERS UP WELL AND SO FAR MY TIRES HAVE NOT PULLED UP ANY PAINT. I HAVE A TWO CAR GARAGE AND THE TWO GALLON KIT WAS MORE THAN ENOUGHT TO DO THE JOB. THE CANS WERE BENT UP BUT THE PRODUCT WAS NOT HARMED AND THE PRICE WAS VERY GOOD. I WILL USE THIS AGAIN. AND NO I DONT WORK FOR THE COMPANY.

Much better than the water based version
I did 2 coats of this solvent based product and noticed how much thicker and better it seemed to be vs the water based kit. During 2nd coat, I did throw down color flake (a lot of them) I bought extra bags. Then I followed up the job with 2 coats of CLEAR GLOSS epoxy and added anti-slip grit. Floor looks like a million bucks.

    Worked well
Good Service, worked as described. Was able to pick up early in the day

Looks good & went on easy
The paint went on easy and looks very good. I gave 4s because it's too early to tell how well it wears; I could make these 5s (or 3s) a year from now. It would be nice if they had more colors to choose from.

    Loved it
I liked the color and it went on smoothly. The surface is just rough enough to prevent slips. I couldn't buy the paint in my local store--had to order online then pick it up. That was a small inconvenience, but the paint was worth the wait. I am watching now to see how it holds up.

    Nice Floor worth the work
I just finished my floor this weekend and first off I want to say, order the Epoxy Shield 1 gal. Premium Clear Coating Kit when you order this product. It will pay off in the end. I have a 4 car garage and it took three kits of the professional (6gal) and 3 kits of the premium (3gal) (1100sq Feet). I have read a lot of reviews from many different sites that either sell this product and every one of them had some great application tips. I started out doing a lot of research before proceeding, it ... read more is important that you read all directions and technical information before choosing the right product for you. I went with this product because I am always a believer you pick the biggest hammer for the job. This is the higher of the lower end garage coatings. It is solvent based and there will be some strong orders involved with both products. Preparation -Preparation is the key. Clean floor thoroughly. If you have grease spots, rent a hot water pressure washer and or heavy degreaser for oily spots. I chose to etch with muriatic acid buy rubber boots, a disposable hand sprayer, and gloves. It will soak into your shoes even if they are water proof and make sure you flush your floor several times sweeping it away with a floor skwugy. Wear old clothing that you will throw away when you are finished. All materials will be disposed of when you are finished with this process but buy somewhat good brushes and rollers for the paint. You do not want to have fuze or lint in your finish when you are done. Have them shake all your paints, base and activators. You can go to your local hardware store and they can shake it for you along with getting plenty of stirring sticks for combining your 2 part kit once you are at home and ready to start. You will have a better consistency in your finish. Any inconsistency will be gone once you have applied your clear coat. There is a minimum time limit when you start painting. Follow it! Your paint will start setting up so I say, buy some extra paint cans and divide your kits into two cans as needed. It allows you plenty of time to do the job right. Save a little of both for touch ups when you are finished. You have a limited time to do this so follow the directions. One coat is ok for both items. Tape off areas you do not want over rolled. You will be in a hurry and this will save you time latter. Tear a small piece out of the sprinkle bag, do not put it in your hand and shake it out. You will get globs that way. In the bag has a better consistency to it. In the end, enjoy the new floor. It looks awesome and as good as any dealership floor.

Seems to be a very durable product
There were much cheaper alternatives to paint our shop floor but I wanted to do the job right the first time so I choose Rust-Oleum. I'm happy with the color (tile red) and if the paint sticks to the floor as long as it does my hands it will last for decades. It's only been a few weeks but I have no regrets in paying more because it appears to be very durable.

    Satisfied
The instructions say that you can paint over the chips. It wasn't easy to apply the chips evenly. I dropped the chip bag and a pile of chips landed at my feet. I tried to spred the chips with my roller. It didn't turn out well. So, I am going to try and apply a second layer in spots where it looks bare of chips. I have a second can A & B left. I just need to get more chips. There are no instructions when the consumer invariably will make mistakes. Maybe an additional section can be added for ... read more unexpected conditions.

    Impressive floor coating
Used 2.5 Garage package to coat 3-car garage with plenty of paint left over. Prep work spent filling cracks in advance was well worth it - if anything next time I'd be even more diligent in filling all cracks. In some areas we placed the color chips a little too late for them to fully adhere: note to other users, place the chips within 5-min of rolling the epoxy coat.

    Product worked like a CHARM
Brought this product for my basement floor and it came up so nice I had to do it twice, therefore I did my laundry room as well, and it looks AWESOME! Product went down nice and smooth & placing the chips down became a family activity with my daughter & I. Smell is a little strong but with the windows open it took care of that. I will be using this product again in the spring when I do my 3 Car Garage & My Sun Room. I'm hooked.

    How is it now?
This seems to be the only option without horrible reviews. I notice the reviews are several years old- how has the product held up after a couple of winters?

    Good Product
The product was easy to use. The instructions were somewhat confusing. I purchased 2 kits and the mixed product was different from kit to kit.

Great product. Second coat was difficult because the product got thick. Add more epoxy or only mix half the batch, let the first coat dry, then put on another coat later.

Good product except for the included anti-skid
I have just completed coating my garage floor and expect the finish to be superb once it cures (four days). Applying the stain is tricky...stain is so clear it's difficult to see where you've been. My one complaint, and it's a big one, is the anti-skid provided. The granules are so heavy they sink immediately and no amount of stirring seems to help. I would recommend H&C Shark Grip; it is much lighter and remains suspended after stirring.

    So Far, So Good
I purchased the dark-grey solvent-based epoxy for my 500 sq. foot garage. I purchased one kit. My floor had an existing epoxy coating which was put down approximately 8 years ago. I checked with Rustoleum tech line (who are fantastic by the way), and they said as long as there was no major problems with peeling of the existing coating, using this product for a new coating should be fine. They did say that I need to do a "scuff-sand" of the existing coating once it had been cleaned. They said DO ... read more NOT use the etching product on the existing coating. So I used the rustoleum degreaser/cleaner and a stiff bristled scrub brush to vigorously clean the floor. Then I rented a vibrating floor sander from HomeDepot to scuff up the floor. Then I did another scrubbing of the floor and let it dry over-night. I painted the floor the next morning starting very early because of the temperature requirements of the product (it gets hot here in Vegas!!). I think some of the product may have leaked out of the cans prior to me purchasing it because once I mixed everything, there was not a full gallon. Once the color-coat was finished and had dried for the amount of time specified, I put down a coat of the Rustoleum clear. After that dried for a day, I noticed that there was a spot I missed. I called Rustoleum and asked them if they could send/sell me just a small amount of the clear. They could not, but instead they gave me a credit for a free second kit of the clear!!!!! I put down the second coat of clear about a month ago and everything still looks beautiful. No peeling or hot-tire pick up. Great product. I will use it again on the floor of my seperate third-car garage. Prep is key. Most of the work is in the prep. Use a filtered mask when doing the color coat - the fumes are really strong, as expected.

    Perfect Sheen
After using the 2 part epoxy and color chips I noticed I had thin spots and a different sheen from roller marks. (bad job on my part rolling it out) Waits 3 days to see if it would get better. It didn't. One coat of this premium gloss was the trick it even out everything. One nice glossy sheen no more roller marks...PERFECT! One gal. covered 480 Sq
