    Best Stain Ever!!
I have used Ready Seal in the past, It is the most forgiving stain EVER,,,,if you spill, drip run etc, it spreads out evenly and blends in,,,,,,,,,and the very BEST part is,,,,,,,,you do not have to strip when you apply the next time, just wash your deck and go for it,,,,,,,,, We applied three years ago, the deck rails are still holding, but our deck is in full sun, and gets alot of traffic, so the floor needs done every year, but like I said before, wash your deck and reapply, we only put one ... read more coat on the deck.

Worth the price, one tiny oncern
After trying to stain/seal a fence the cheap way (Thompson's Water Seal), I swore I'd never do that again, looked horrible and application was miserable. So I bit the bullet and bought the spendier Readyseal. It looks FANTASTIC and went on as well as they said, with no need to backbrush. HOWEVER, they said you could spray it on with garden sprayer, not the case for me. I tried it, and it did not go on consistently at all. So, I switched to an electric paint sprayer, went on like a breeze and ... read more looks great. My advice: save the frustration, and pay a little more for this stuff, totally worth it.

    Very easy to work with.
I put this on in July, easy to work with. This is not a solid color, it is semi-transparent, wood grain shows through which is exactly what I wanted. It is now the end of April and water still beads up on the deck due to the sealer. I used to use Behr oil based wood stain but I find that this works better. If you don't keep a wet edge, the overlapping is very minimal and fades even more as time goes by. I'm glad I used this product.

    looks great!
Had someone else apply it to a very weathered deck which we had powerwashed prior to applying it. It went on very easily, and looks great. We did this a few months ago, so I cant say how it wore over time, but at least from what I can see, it's great.

    Love Behr products
I have been using Behr paints for over 7 years now and are extremely happy with their products. when deciding on which paint to use for my deck naturally i chose Behr and it covered very well. however next time i will use the better quality behr stain so it will last longer. i feel that this brand only last two years when it states on the can 5years. the worker for home depot told me the next grade of stain last's longer which is indicated on the can. never noticed it on the can. Really like the ... read more color as well. i used solid because my deck it very old but you would never know it now, looks wonderful.

Ready Stain Wood Stain and Sealer
The stain was easy to app[y, covers well and goes a long way, easy clean up. It has not finished drying yet, only been on a couple of weeks and the Lit. says it can take up to a month to dry, but I notice changes in the color every few days. This was used on a small parade wagon, pictures enclosed

Awesome product but cans came dented
I needed to stain a few sections of fence and did research online. This product is the one that keeps coming up. It was everything that they said; covers well, and is very forgiving--if you drip and then stain over it a little later, you don't still see the drip. I found I needed more than they said when I used a sprayer to apply it. One can covered one side of a 43 foot long fence (6 feet high), and 3/4 of a gate. I took a star off for the way it came, though. I used Home Depot ship to home. ... read more Even though the cans were well-padded inside a box, they were both badly dented, like they had been dropped. One was so bad I was surprised it wasn't leaking.

Consider this BEFORE 4x or 10x restore
Before you go buy 4X or 10X restore consider this stain first. It has great coverage with two coats, covers a way bigger area than 4x or 10x, is durable and easier to apply. Use 4x or 10 x on heavily worn or weathered decks that need high mil thickness to fill defects. If you have the average deck in need of refinishing this works perfect.

Restore deck paint is awesome. It went on easily,, coverage was amazing. The final surface seems durable, and beautiful.
After many trips to several Home Depot stores, trying to purchase Restore paint which was out of stock,, a Home Depot employee helped us place an order to be shipped to us directly,, in just a few days,, our paint arrived by UPS. She was very helpful, we did not know we could do that. She saved us more trips and wait time.

Amazing results - WHEN USED ON VERY WEATHERED WOOD
The only reason I believe folks have a complaint about this product is because they are using it on newly installed decking. THIS PRODUCT IS CALLED WOOD RX FOR A REASON, PEOPLE SO DON'T USE IT ON NEW LUMBER! We used six bottles (but that was 2 full coats of coverage) to renew a huge dock in our backyard in with 25 year-old treated 2x6 boards and it looks brand new and beautiful again! If you just built a dock using brand new lumber, for the love of Pete, leave it bare for a few years or use a ... read more cheaper water based product to get you through for the first 3 or so years. Then, bring in Wood RX to bring your deck or dock or whatever back to life!

    Wonderful product!!
This stain makes the job of refinishing a deck so much easier! The sprayer fan tip works like a dream! This color is such a rich sienna color that looks really great with the greenery of the outdoors.

good product, needed more than expected
good product,,,settled into an acceptable color..net as dark as expected on pressure treated decking..expected dark mahagony, turned out more of a lighter chestnut...didnt cover as much as advertized, needed 35-40% more than stated for single coat, but my wood was weathered and hungry...hand sprayed and coated evenly with no streaks...would recommend and use again

    Great Product For Finishing Fences
I have been a user of different Thompson's Water Seal products for a number of years and their semi-transparent waterproofing stain in acorn brown is an excellent product for those wanting to finish fences quickly, while using a product that is sure to last for years. The Thompson's semi transparent stain holds up very well and the acorn brown color has not faded as do other similar products.

This Stuff is Outstanding! Bought it for Solid OAK Fence Posts...
Ok I am a Huge Fan of Thompson's Water Seal & Stains! I got this 5 Gallons to Treat & Waterproof my Solid Oak 6x8 Fence Posts so they can survive the clay soil on my property. Well I just couldn't get to waterproofing all those posts before winter set in... HOWEVER... A little mishap with a vehicle & my mailbox... I broke it out INSIDE the work shop to Stain & seal the new mailbox post & platform. You see it's in single digits here & this has to go on with a Temp better than 65 Degrees to set & ... read more dry right. So I was blessed having the Acorn Stain by Thompson's Water Seal on hand to take care of this. This Stuff goes on smooth & fills cracks well. I did notice that even inside at 70 degrees it took about 2 hours to fully dry before further 2nd coat. I Love this stuff! Easy On, Easy Cleanup... Waterproofing that Works!

    EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!
This wood stain is amazing!!! I needed to stain my deck and tried the WoodRx pump sprayer. It was the easiest product to use. I couldn't believe how quickly I finished and my deck looks like new. I had a few questions before I began, so I called the customer service number on the label. The customer service rep was so helpful and informative. After I spoke to them, I applied WoodRx to both damp and dry sections of my deck and it dried uniformly and looks fantastic. GET THIS PRODUCT NOW! It really works.

    Past my expectation
When I decided to buy this I was concerned that it was too good to be true. It is easy to apply as long as you realize there will be overspray and you cover anything you don't want sprayed. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was that on horizontal service it is great but on vertical surfaces you better have a brush ready because it will run. I would recommend this for patios and will purchase it again when the time comes

    Pool looks new
Covered an old Kool Deck with this. Took 3 hours to roll 5 gallons. I started with a real thick coat and toward the end I saw that it was not enough paint so i went light and ended up ordering two more gallons. If you want a non slip surface, be sure to buy Dyco Skid Guard to add. Get a good mixing tool to use with a drill and it will mix just fine.

    What a difference!
I purchased this product to refinish my 40-year-old concrete pool deck (I believe it's called Kool Deck,) which was previously painted several different colors including a peach hue and a med-dark moss green, but was mostly bare. Deck was pressure washed and allowed to dry 2 days. Product is like a thin paint, not a thick coating, and I thought I wouldn't like it...but after applying 2 coats, the transformation is fantastic! The deck feels lightly "coated", not merely stained, and narrow cracks ... read more disappeared. You must use at least 2 coats. Covered and hid the other colors extremely well. Deck was rained on 12 hours after finishing 2nd coat - no problem. One 5-gallon bucket was just enough to refinish my VERY rough and pocked 500-square-foot deck. This product needed mixing and was somewhat difficult to hand-mix and keep mixed. I know there are power paint mixers, which I don't have but definitely would have used. I recommend one for this. This seems like the most economical way to get a great-looking pool deck again.
