    Smooth painting
Goes on much smoother than I thought it would, dries in record time. Looks good, considering what I had to work with. A lot of imperfections were covered with this paint. I made the right choice.

    Excellent Product!
Used this on the floor of a work/tool trailer. After a year and a half of ABUSE it has stood up very well. Its not damaged at all, albeit a little dirty, which is all one could ask for in my application. When applied, laid a coat of good primer first then 2 coats of sure step. Got a new trailer coming in next week and ordering more Sure Step right now!

    Excellent product.
We used Sure Step on a part of a warehouse floor that gets wet and slippery. To the bare concrete slab, we first applied a concrete primer/masonry filler to a clean, dry floor then the Sure Step. Sure Step was very thick but applied smoothly with a roller as directed. We applied two thin coats of Sure Step. In our application, the Sure Step covered a much larger area than expected. (We returned the third can to the local Home Depot with our online receipt with no problems.) The result looks ... read more very nice and not slippery at all when wet! We are very impressed with the results.

    Product worked as advertised
I painted the wood border in my backyard with one coat. It came out great. This freshened up the appearance in the backyard.

Preservawood, Penefin Duckback, I use them all.
I have little problems with any of the products I mention in my title. I use all of them and can say I like the smell of Penefin best, other then that, it comes down to colors. Preservawood is the best value. They apply the same, they have equal longevity in similar conditions.

    Great product
I've tried many finishes on my redwood deck, and this has proven to be one of the best. It's not the longest lasting, yet the longer lasting products I tried were coatings that eventually started peeling and were a pain to sand off. I like that this one soaks into the wood and isn't some separate layer that can peel. I had no trouble with application; some reviews I had read talked about this product being very sticky - I'm pretty sure that was a result of not wiping off the excess product as ... read more described in the instructions. The color ended up being lighter than I expected but I suspect that'll get darker each year as I recoat it. The company also has great customer service - I emailed them with a question about how to determine when it's time to reapply a new coat, and they responded very quickly with an informative answer, not just some canned response.

The only reason I believe folks have a complaint about this product is because they are using it on newly installed decking. THIS PRODUCT IS CALLED WOOD RX FOR A REASON, PEOPLE SO DON'T USE IT ON NEW LUMBER! We used six bottles (but that was 2 full coats of coverage) to renew a huge dock in our backyard in with 25 year-old treated 2x6 boards and it looks brand new and beautiful again! If you just built a dock using brand new lumber, for the love of Pete, leave it bare for a few years or use a ... read more cheaper water based product to get you through for the first 3 or so years. Then, bring in Wood RX to bring your deck or dock or whatever back to life!

    Great Stuff!!
Our porch is seasoned pressure treated wood. We pressure washed it and used 2 of these 2 gal containers to cover our deck. The results were wonderful and porch looks brand new! The Mahogany is a rich color and what we expected. Half the time, half the cost. Will do this for our summer home porch. The one thing you do need is a cheap 4" paint brush to smooth out lines as you spray and drop cloths to cover close by areas from any misting of spray. Dries quickly!! Definitely worth trying. It was for us!!

good product, needed more than expected
good product,,,settled into an acceptable color..net as dark as expected on pressure treated decking..expected dark mahagony, turned out more of a lighter chestnut...didnt cover as much as advertized, needed 35-40% more than stated for single coat, but my wood was weathered and hungry...hand sprayed and coated evenly with no streaks...would recommend and use again

    Can't go wrong
By far the biggest benefit is the ease of reapplication. No scrapping, wire brushing or sanding required. Simply clean with a bleach solution, let dry thoroughly and apply by brush, roller or spray. I have used a myriad of other products on my old decks and always had to spend countless hours prepping. After replacing my 30 year old decks I wanted a product that wouldn't require such intensive prep work, and this is it. And we love the result. Full, rich color. Beautiful.

Great purchase, perfectly matched previous stain
The stain was easy to apply and produced a uniform natural look.

    Truly is 'Goof-Proof'
I had never used stain before using this product.Thankfully, it truly is goof-proof! It was easy to apply and it covered well. I was only able to apply one coat, with help, before the rainy season arrived, but it is beading up nicely and we will apply a second coat in the spring for optimum protection. It's a little pricey, but worth it for the ease of application. I used the natural cedar color and it is a little darker than I anticipated, but it looks really nice and I'm very pleased with the ... read more results. I would recommend this stain to anyone wanting to protect a wood surface.

    Only time will tell.
It appears to be effective but I cannot truly know for at least a year. Convenient packaging which actually is cheaper per gallon than when buying 1 gallon cans. Went on well but do not expect predicted coverage. Wood, shadow box, fence soaked it up as expected.

Best Wood stainer and sealer EVER!!!
We applied two coats of this to our large deck a few days ago, now the deck looks great and the stain survived a rain storm immediately the next day (about 16 hours ) after application. The staining looks great and really professional. We couldn't believe how easy it was to use! Our previous deck stain only lasted a year and a half, and we let it go for another year, so the deck looked really haggard, but now it looks like we hired a professional to re-stain it!

    Great Coverage - Good Color
I've stained the fence and some other furniture and decided I would tackle the picnic table. I wanted to get this done before there was too much weather damage to it. The table is plain old generic pine. I got the table from a flea market vendor. My only problem was coverage. That was my fault. I did not let the first coat dry before I started the 2nd coat and one of the benches looks like I was wiping it off, more than wiping it on. I LOVE the color. It contrasts so nicely with the plain ... read more cedar fence color. I am attaching the color grid to provide an instant comparison. The brush was easy to clean and the fumes were not overwhelming.

    First Rate
As part of this Home Depot Program I received this product and it could not of come at a better time. We have this wood deck with peeling redwood paint. So we wire brushed an area and tested this product. Our findings were impressive. Came out really nice and beautiful color. Now I got to sell the customer to do the entire area. We intentionally poured water and beaded right off and with personal use of Thompsons Sealers in the past, they have never let me down.

    Playground Looks Brand New!
This stain is very simple to apply. I used brushes and rollers to re-color and seal the (redwood and pressure treated) playground I built for my kids. The color goes on evenly, it makes the wood look brand-new. We will see how it weathers the Las Vegas heat and sun over time. I'd definitely use it again based on the finished product.

    Great Investment
We bought this paint to increase the life of our existing fence on the house we just purchased. Not only is it going to help us extend the life of the fence, it looks fantastic. As we started to paint a section of the fence our neighbors commented on how nice it looked as well. I can't wait to finish the entire yard. You won't regret this purchase and investment!!

    Total Makeover
We bought out house in the 80's when natural wood was the craze. After 30 years we finally decided to make the investment and make that dark drab wood bright and welcoming! The change lit up the neighborhood. I am so proud now of our home now. We also freshened up our landscaping. You don't have to move to a new home - you just need to paint it. Be brave. We did and it looks wonderful! Thank you Behr!

    Great paint, great results
We've always used Behr products, but this was our first time with Behr solid color house and fence wood stain. It covered beautifully, in just one coat. Cleanup was a breeze with warm water and Dawn detergent. We will be purchasing more of this paint in an "accent"color to finish painting our carport and fence. We also bought this product due to it's longer "life" than other paint products. I'm one happy camper that one coat covered all...and it was less expensive than most of the other brands!

    Holding Up Well Through Weather
Finish on my porch still beading water after second winter. The part of my redwood porch deck that gets direct sun all the time has about lost its protection after two years, but the areas protected from the severe effects of the sun is ok for another year. This Thompson's Waterseal is very thin and could be sprayed. I used a roller and brush and was satisfied with application. Wood grain really shows through.

Can never go wrong w/ Thompson's
I made a small walkway for out by the pool and this stain was perfect for the outdoor and wet conditions, it looks great and the large amounts of water just bead up and dry or fall off without damaging the walkway. It's holding up without warping. Highly recommended.

Excellent Water Protection and Looks Great
We recently completed a deck extension project. After allowing sufficient time for the wood to dry, we decided to protect the surface using Thompson’s WaterSeal Waterproofing Stain. The Transparent Harvest Gold Stain adds a little color to the original wood, yet still allows the wood grains to be visible. Installation is very easy using a Painter’s Pad and it applied evenly throughout the deck, as long as you don’t stop and restart after it dries. It penetrates deep into the wood with one coat ... read more and dries in only 2 hours. Because it’s water-based, cleanup is also very simple. We are very pleased with the Thompson’s Waterproofing Stain for our new deck. It is perfect for protecting new decks or restoring older weathered decks.
