Well balanced machine. When you handle a brush in your hands for hours on end, you know what I'm talking about.
The 2 1/2" XL Dale is the most precise and versatile brush known to man. I use it to paint kitchen cabinets with oil on a professional level, and also use it to cut in latex trim. And if you use it right, the leading few bristles become an artist's brush for intense cut in. It's all I buy!

    Purdy Brushes are the best
Purdy brushes are not cheap, but they are an investment for a painter who wants to deliver a professional job. For a few bucks more, you get a brush that applies paint evenly and smoothly and doesn't fall apart in the process. These are some of the finest brushes I've used.

Oblique edge is the way to go!
A professional house painter once told me that the only choice to make between brushes had to do with the type of surface being painted, but to always use a brush with an oblique end to get a good line. Combine the oblique tip with the quality of a Purdy and you'll have a brush that you will use forever!

    Great Product
The brush worked very well applying the paint without streaking. It has been cleaned many times and still performs well.

    great brush
The brush does a nice job laying down the paint and when dry looks nice. The brush is easy to hold onto and use. Didn't realize there are different brushes for oil and latex, what a difference when you use the right one. With a bit of mineral spirits it cleans fairly easy and will be ready for the next time. Impressed with the over all quality of the brush.

    Worth the extra expense
How many times have we picked up a cheap brush for a job and then watched as the bristles came out in the paint and on the woodwork one by one? This brush is worth the extra expense as it is carefully manufactured and with proper care, should last for many jobs and many years. I was impressed by how sturdy it is. So far I have not had any issues when using it and the work it produces is excellent. No brush marks, no sticking of bristles to each other. This brush makes painting a much more enjoyable experience.

    pay for what you get
Needed a good paint brush for the exterior door project. Well more like a honey do, Nag, Nag, Nag....got to love them. Anyway, I finished with the project and the brush didn't loose any bristles like the cheap models, the hair bristles were all intact after a few coats, even after I would clean it with mineral spirits for some other trim applications. Good review with this brush, but then again I did pay ten dollars more for it. The long run on this product would be, once you finish with it ... read more clean up is easy and the brush looks like I never used it. This brush will last if you take care of it. I would recommend this product for purchase price. GE

    Nice Brush
I got a great deal on this and a couple other brushes as we have a lot of painting to do. I bought 14 in all and glad I did. They work very well, I would recommend.

Cuts in tight places and easy to clean
I had always used a 2 1/2 inch brush to cut in but my new house has more detailed trim. I decided to give a smaller brush a try and I am glad I did, the control is amazing. The second reason I wanted to try this brush is the Chinex bristles. I had been reading reviews about the new bristle material and it was supposed to be easier to clean. I do have to say it takes less time to clean than my other brushes. It is not instant cleanup and you still need to make sure you do a proper job but the ... read more time spent will be less. If I have to replace other brushed I will get more of these.

    Absolutely the highest quality
When you need a perfect finish, this is the brush to buy. I admit to sometimes purchasing the "good" quality, but I used this to stain our mantel, and the coverage was so beautiful and the finish so professional, I may be a total convert. The bristles leave no marks whatsoever, making my completed project look as if an expert did it - me!! It washed up beautifully, too, in soap and water.

    Great brush for detail work
Bought this for indoor painting job. Best use was near edges of tile and molding where the slanted tip worked great. Use latex paint and brush cleans up easily. Holds a fine edge and allows great control.

    No flyaways
There is nothing worse than spending good money on a decent paint brush then to have those pesky flyaway strands ruining your paint job. This brush is compact, easy to handle, and angles easily when you apply it. Highly recommended.

Great Little Brush for the $$
Purchased (in-store) this brush to paint the trim on my house exterior. Paid $5, brush was on sale at the store. Brush is a bit soft, but works great on flat wood. Would not recommend using on grooved shakes. Cleans up nice, and usable during several days of painting.

    No complaints
Works well. I used it and cleaned with a hair comb a few times. Still feels and looks as brand new.

    Excellent paintbrush!
I don't know if it's because I've been using cheap paintbrushes in the past but this one has exceeded my expectations. Even application. I also purchased the 2 inch angle brush as well. Definitely worth the money...I'll never buy the cheap brushes again.

    Fine tool for painting trim
I really enjoy the angle of this brush and the short stubby handle, it feels like an extension of my hand as it glides along the edge of window frames. The softness of the rubber handle, and the way it flexes in my hand gives me control and comfort. The angle cut and the tapered fibers make it easy to love and enjoy. Even has a nice loop on the candle so it can dry hanging straight on a nail after cleaning. Fine American Quality to be enjoyed for many years to come.

    High quality Wooster brush
I'm a huge fan of Wooster painting tools. I love their roller cages and extension poles, and have several of their full size brushes. These short handle brushes are really neat, and great for tight places. I was surprised to see that the small handle is made out of a flexible rubber, so they are very comfortable to hold, and the handle flexes to fit to your hand. Most importantly, the bristles are the very high quality Chinex, so I don't have any doubts about its ability to produce a smooth ... read more finish. The one issue I had was trying to understand the difference between the three versions. I ordered the Chinex and Nylon/Polyester versions to compare, as there was no description of the differences on the Home Depot site or the Wooster web site. Here is what I have been able to tell. The edge of the Chinex brush is a very straight cut and much less feathered. It seems to be slightly firmer than the Nylon / Polyester version. And unlike the photo on the Home Depot site, the package on the one I received seems to imply that it is better for exterior painting (it lists Exterior first, and is in all caps), although it does list interior as well. The Nylon / Polyester bristles feel slightly softer in terms of flex, and the edge of the brush is much more feathered. The package of the Nylon / Polyester brush lists interior first, in all caps, so it seems that it is intended for interior finish work. I don't have the Nylon (green) version, but based on the product description, that one is intended for lower viscosity finishes, presumably like a stain or thinner paint. The small size of this brush will definitely come in handy.

    Great little brush
I needed to paint in a tight space and this little angle brush has been great. The angle brush is such good quality and the little rubbery handle makes it so flexible. I can feel the quality. It paints well, cleans up beautifully, and drys good as new. I make sure to keep it in its Velcro packaging, a painter friend of mine told me that's how you keep the brush in good shape. I also pour my paint into a shallow dish, which is really important since this handle is so very small. If you dip it in ... read more a can your hand would get painted too. Great value.
