    Incredible
This is the best equipment purchase I have ever made. To begin, I watched the enclosed video several times. The project I started with was to prime a 2100sq ft home. After one room learning the spray pattern, I completed the project in 4 hours, walls and ceilings. Cleaning takes some time, but is very much worth the effort. Awesome piece of equipment Graco!

does it work? Is it worth it?
I was skeptical on spending this money and winding up with something that didn't do what i had hoped for;however, when i received the product and tried it ,it worked great. Now i look around for more projects that this would make a pleasure of. I may start my own business with this. Ps. If you haven't guessed, i love it....just take your time getting to know how to handle the sprayer. Pay attention to the video on how to spray and you should do fine. Practicing with water helps.

    Phenominal!
I'm a homeowner and I do a lot of research before I make a major purchase. This baby rocks! I decided to spend a few bucks more and get the X9. I painted my 2200 sf stucco home in under 3 hours. Love the clog clearing feature. Clean up takes a while but the instructions are concise. The included DVD is a nice feature.

A surprisingly satisfactory tool for texturing small jobs
Having used many different texture guns and pattern pistols professionally, I can say that this tool is well worth the $80 that HD is asking for it. Shoots a reasonably consistent pattern on walls and ceilings if you keep the hopper more than a third full. Mud I used is the dry bagged texture mud. Mix thoroughly with a drill powered paddle type mixer. Paint mixer will not cut it. Mix the mud to the consistency of crepes batter. Let sit 5 to 15 minutes and remix. This makes a difference! Noise is ... read more like a shop vacuum and not as unpleasant as the compressed air type which has a high pitched whistle loud enough to warrant ear protection. If you have not done this before, practice on some scrap drywall or cardboard. Use a steady circular motion. Have fun and get ready to get absolutely filthy....

    Great for small jobs!
I bought the texture sprayer to finish the sheetrock in a two-car garage. It isn't powerful enough to use the ready mix texture material out of the container, but when I cut it with about 1/3 water to 2/3 mud it worked very well. The one-gallon hopper is easy to load and works well for walls. I found a full hopper was large enough to cover about 80 square feet with a medium knock-down (yellow tip). It is a bit awkward for ceilings since the hopper cannot be positioned in a truly efficient ... read more manner. For small jobs it is way better than the canned texture sprays. The noise level was very reasonable and clean up was easy.

Very Happy with my Power Tex
I have used the Power Tex to texture several bedroom ceilings in my house and the results have been fantastic so far. I've been keeping my mud pretty thin based on the advice from other reviews and I have yet to experience any clogging. Clean up is easily accomplished with a garden house. I think the gun is a great value for the average DIYer.

    Great For Small Projects
This sprayer really does a good job and lays down a nice smooth finish that equals much more expensive models. It atomizes paint well and produces a nice furniture or cabinet quality finish. I am very impressed at the small amount of overspray it produces. The sprayer comes with good clear instructions and a DVD on using the sprayer and included viscosity cup for proper thinning. If you follow the directions you will get great results. In the attached video I thinned acrylic paint to about 40 ... read more seconds and was able to produce a nice finish on my first try. Clean up is easy. I do go a step further and remove the nozzle and needle to make sure there is nothing left on them. What's nice is that you don't have to be a professional painter to get great results. If you are a serious DIY'r and want a nice sprayer that doesn't break the bank the Earlex 1900 is for you.

    Professional Results
I've always thought paint sprayers were too much of a hassle but this Earlex Spray Station will definitely get plenty of use. I gave it a test run in my utility room. My entire home has a heavy Monterrey drag texture. It takes a thick roller and a number of coats to get full coverage. This spray station uses far less paint and achieves superior results. Not only is less paint used but the paint dries quickly. The professional finish is the best part. I did not have an issue diluting the paint ... read more but I used a spare paint can so I could dilute an entire gallon at once. The only negative for me was the noise the sprayer makes. It's very loud which is not a problem for me but I often get started on projects while the wife and kids are still sleeping. Overall this sprayer is easy to use and a major time and money saver.

    Goodbye Cans of Spray Paint
I've been wanting to change the color of my lamp shades, lights, wicker baskets, as well as varnish a couple of end tables but I have avoided these projects because I cannot hold down a spray can button for very long and the spray never goes onto surfaces evenly. With this spray station paint sprayer, I am painting everything that I wanted to redo and then some. This unit is easy for me to handle and guide. There is not a lot of over spray but I still put my objects above enough plastic sheeting ... read more to catch it all. After experimenting with a few lamp shades that I didn't care if I kept or not, I found out that if I diluted the water based paint by 1/3 and painted 3 coats it ended up looking much better than if I had painted full strength using one coat. The drying time was quicker too. When using enamel paint, I thinned it about the same 1/3 and got amazing results. I cannot believe the look of some of the plastic items I have repainted. No one would know that these were ever painted. I did try the 1.5 mm needle with the polyurethane on my end table on the last of 4 coats and I thinned it 50 percent. This unit holds more than enough product for my projects and clean up was a breeze. I will never buy another can of spray paint again!

Amazing machine, I love using it!!
I bought this machine because it was small and affordable, but was worried it might not perform...how wrong I was!!! It puts down great lines, super easy to use and it's not hard to clean up afterwards. Clean up takes me a little while but I try to keep it looking new. Only hard part (not that hard though) is changing colors on the job. You need to have a water hose with you and I have a big cooler that I pump or pour rinse water into. The machine is great...a couple more jobs and I will order ... read more another one, one for blue and one for white so I don't have to clean and change on the job. Can't recommend it high enough. Tip: use only non-ethanol gas, motor will last longer...oh yeah, it cranked on the first pull and has every time since.

    The Perfect Machine
Scared was my first feeling when I took it out of the box and then I questioned myself "can I do this?" After reading the manual twice and walking myself thru the procedures at least three times before I actually turned it on I found out that this machine is very easy to operate, clean, and store with very little to no problems. I am amazed at how well it performs. This is one great machine for beginners. I know I got my moneys worth

    i spray pre cat lacquar
I have been spraying pre cat lacquer on kitchen cabinets for 2 years with this sprayer as a side job A lot of the guys I know that work in cabinet shops cannot believe that I get such a great finish with this gun I add 1 cup lacquer thinner per gallon and away I go Just finished my own kitchen and brother in law was so jealous of the finish compared to his new kitchen done by ( professional ) cabinet shop Only problem is gun gets worn out by having to clean up with lacquer thinner on my second ... read more gun now But for the price well worth it

    Perfect all around sprayer
I have used air compressor sprayers and I can say that this product is a great alternative. I have used this for PlastiDipping my entire car, painting my deck, and painting my shed. It made my jobs so easy and fast. It does spray a big amount, so I would stand back and also cover whatever you do not want painted, as it mists a lot of paint into the air. (just like a legit air compressor sprayer) Just like any other paint gun, it needs to be cleaned with straight thinner. I love using this thing!

Works Great For Fine Woodworking Finishes
I have used the Wagner Control Spray Plus for about 2 years to spray water-based lacquer onto guitars. The finish must be flawless and to my delight, the Wagner does the trick for far less money than a pro-level HVLP system. I plan to purchase the same sprayer when my current one wears out, but even after almost daily use, it works like it did the day I bought it.

    Amazing performance
Not sure why this sprayer isn't stocked in the local stores!! Item arrived quickly and has performed beyond my expectations. Well built and great quality! Used this sprayer to lay down Plasti Dip on my automobile and it works flawlessly! Recommend this over the in-store cheapies.

Great for home projects, and Plastidip
Great quality, complete instructions, everything you need is in the box, the only thing i didn't like was the packaging, ordered it online and came on a regular brown beaten box (not the original) but over all the product was not damaged.

Useful tool for DIYer or contractor that does smaller paint jobs
Pros: (1) simple to use; (2) simple to clean up; (3) relatively intuitive for anyone that has used an HVLP painter in the past; (4) paint coverage is adjustable and consistent; and, (5) not much paint wasted as compared with HVLP systems that draw paint directly from a bucket through a hose. Cons: (1) not awesome for big jobs as you'll need to refill the pint-sized paint container frequently; (2) even empty, the painter will get heavy (and I'm 240 pounds and fairly well built); and, (3) it's ... read more big enough that it does not easily fit between a ladder and a target surface - need to climb down and move your ladder frequently. None of these cons are deal breakers for me, though. In fact, they're all characteristics inherent to the intended function. That is, you wouldn't get the power and build quality if it were any smaller. I am quite pleased. This little painter is quite handy. It's quick to set up and go so it's the first thing I reach for. Holding it up does get a little tiring, but it's not made for doing huge jobs anyway. It's a bit pricey, but it's not junk - you get what you pay for.

    Pay the price
Awesome. Great handheld sprayer. knocked out 25 baseboards 16 ft in length in a matter of minutes vs hours with a roller and paint brush. Much better than the flexio sprayer I bought and returned.

    Even spraying and convenience
I used the sprayer to paint some crown molding I put in my dining room. The sprayer made painting the molding fast and easy. The coating was very even, great coverage with one coat. I did do two coats just to be safe but one was enough. On bigger jobs you would have to fill the the paint canister fairly often. One draw back would be the weight of the unit it can get heavy after awhile. The housing is not hard to clean it does have some hard to reach grooves to get completely clean but overall ... read more fairly easy to do.

    High quality Works great
I had 3 areas I repaired with new sheetrock that needed popcorn to match the existing ceilings. The largest was 100 sq ft and the smallest was 10 sq ft. The Homax sprayer did the job for me. After painting the ceilings, the areas I did are not noticible.

Easy enough to use for a beginner
It was easy to put together, easy to use, easy to clean. I am a complete novice to texturing, so I had to keep shutting off the compressor because it would get above the recommended 70psi in just minutes (Im sure this was user error), but otherwise, I have no complaints.

    Gave me a professional result.
I've never used a texture gun before and got the hang of it in about a minute. Easy to use and have great results.
