    This stuff covers anything!
It's an oil base, so clean-up is dirty. My house hasn't been painted in 15 years. This primer is great. I put 2 coats on my house, 3 on the Snow line. It took 6 gal.

    Best Primer!
Last summer I bought this to primer to prime a 90 yr old exterior home. This home was a rental for 50 yrs., so, the paint jobs were awful. This can of primer put 2 coats on the front of the 2 story home. The latex paint went on so well and the home looks 50 yrs younger. Granted, I sanded most of the old paint down to the wood and it was a LOT of work for 1 person. It was worth all the time and work! The home looks wonderful!!!

    Best Primer
We use this primary exclusively for exterior painting, yes it thick and thats what makes it the best. We used SW oil primer that was thin and dripped everywhere. Would not use it for interior unless you could spray it. I go out of my way to use this product.

    great primer
This is the only primer I have ever used that absolutely blocks pine knots from bleeding through your paint.

Have the Can Shaken at the Store
The primer has the consistency of milk. When I opened the can it was separated and required about ten minutes of stirring to get all the solids off the bottom and into suspension. The primer is still thin and prone to running. Being thin, it lays well for a smooth base. It is a tenacious primer, and very difficult to clean up once dry. I will use it again whenever putting a water-based paint over an existing oil-based finish.

Covers stains well but has strong oder
Looks like you have to try it to see if its right for you after reading the other reviews. I used this on my ceilings after applying new sheetrock. I found it covered stains and the transition from the old painted surface to the new sheetrock surface better than the less expensive item I used before. However, contrary to another reviewer, I found the smell & fumes very strong and needed to wear a dust mask and open the windows until it dried. After it dried, I only needed one coat of ceiling ... read more paint to get a perfect white finish. Of course the ceiling paint you use could make all the difference. But getting back to the smell, even my dog who was in the next room sleeping moved two rooms away to sleep while I was working without me telling him to and he usually sticks to me like glue. May not want to use indoors if its too cold to open the windows. I am not a frequent user so maybe I am more sensitive to the smell than someone who works with this stuff all the time.

    good product
Product is thick, covers most areas in one coat, is easy to apply and cleans up fairly easily. Would recommend for base coat primer and sealer

    It was worth the purchase
I was very pleased with this product. We wanted to seal cabinets from a smoker's house and with one coat it almost totally removed it. We will be appling another coat shortly.

    Truly an odor blocker
I bought this sealer in the hopes it would mask and block odor from a wood treatment product I applied to my support beams in our crawl space. The odor from the wood treatment was very powerful and seeping up into our living space. The Zinsser B-I-N 1-Gal. Clear Primer Sealer really helped control the severity of the odor.

I was very disappointed to receive a product made in 2009
I wanted a quick dry non-toxic finish. The shellac I received was made in 2009. Zinssers says this product should be used within 3 years. The finish did not dry, and remained sticky. I had to remove it with denatured alcohol, and start over. I purchased a new can (different source) dated 2010, and the finish is dry and very nice. I like the result, but would rather have just done it once.

    Worked perfectly on my trim!
I covered my 1990s honey colored trim. I sanded the poly down and applied 2 coats. Worked great!

    Nice primer for spraying
I used this for the first time on an old dresser redo. This sealed everything up nicely including the rough sides to the drawers. I had to sand afterward but the surface is sooooo silky smooth. I used 220 paper and sanded very lightly, just to knock off overspray. Exquisite! I can not wait to put paint on this. It should lay out nice and flat and beautiful! I used this outside with a gravity fed gun and air compressor, I could smell the fumes through my respirator (not NIHOSH, I would like to ... read more get one specifically for this). This primer sands wonderfully after a couple of hours to a nice powdery finish, no gumming up and it feels VERY hard and not tacky at all like a latex primer. Also, after first coat of primer I filled all dings and scratches with drywall compound sanded flat and coated a second time with this primer. Provided a very nice finish and is nice and hard, should be very durable. This will be a dresser in a little girls room so will take some abuse. On the downside, clean up is not as easy as water based primer but I think it is worth it.

Great for priming stained mouldings prior to painting
I used this to prime all of the stained wood mouldings (and window frames) prior to painting them. There was no need to sand which is the reason why I went with this primer. I used a latex topcoat and the results look great. Saved me a ton of money by not having to replace all of the mouldings. It is oil based so make sure you are prepared to do a thorough brush cleaning with paint thinner.

    The Best
We took a 100 year old house that was peeling, and had extreme weathered wood and made it look like new. Spray coated and back brushed in, then a light spray coat on top. Painted with a top coat of 100% exterior latex. Wow

    GREAT STUFF!
Smooths and fills in all of the cracks in old paint! I do recommend some light sanding before applying to remove the loose chips. Really thick consistency, so it went on better with a brush than a roller.

    Peel Stop Triple Thick
Peel Stop Triple Thick is a good quality primer for use on aged wood surfaces. This product seals bare wood as well as previously painted areas that have excessive peeling and flaking. The product is thick offering a high build primer that seals the surface it is applied to for the ultimate finish once it is top coated.

    This is what you need
Looking for that sweet industrial look for your space? This is the paint you need. Good quality; clogged very little compared to other brands. Be careful of overspray. You may use more paint than you think when getting those low hanging pipes.

Basement ceiling looks better than expected
Paint went on easily, coverage was good, hiding factor is great. Everything looks uniform and even.

    Product looks great
If I knew that I had to hire a professional painter, I probably would have purchased a different kind of paint.but the outcome of this paint was great . Dried quick &I no odor.

    Gray Primer and Sealer
Did what it said it was suppose to do. Covered a blue wall with no problem. I used regular paint a week before without primer and you could not tell I even painted the wall.

    Bulls-eye primer
The primer worked very well to prep walls with only builders grade paint and much wear and tear. Left a very durable surface that accepted the new paint well. Good tool cleanup too.

    Best Primer on The Market
When it coned to furniture painting, this primer is a must have. Covers all imperfections...no danding required.Gotta love it.
