Provided a great base for paint kitchen cabinets.
I used this primer as a base on some old kitchen cabinets, then followed by a high cover primer before the top coat. It sticks to the old cleaned cabinet very well and provides a great key for the next primer. It's a bit difficult to clean the brushes as you need to use denatured alcohol - a bit unusual- probably because of the shellac. Worked great would use again.

    Great outdoor product
I wanted another product but the paint professional recommended that I use this particular brand, which turn out better than I exected, at a much less cost.

    excellant choice
tis product was used on a subfloor, after the carpeting was taken up. previous tenants neglected to train ther animals, therefore the animals did there business on the carpeting. the smell was horrible. after scrubbing the floor, and letting it dry i put two liberal coats of bin 123 shellac on the floor, closed the door and opened the window a bit. i came back two days later, and the smell was gone. the carpet installers came and did there work, and were pleased with the result of this product. ... read more although the product is a little pricer than the others that are offered, it was well worth it.

    Only Product for the Job!
Shellac based Primer /sealer is the only product for use with mold, grease, ink or markers. I work painting apartments and the speed of drying time is awesome to be able to finish paint something the same day!! None of the other primers do as good a job!!

Probably the answer to your priming issue
Prep is still the most important part of finishing. Sand, Thinner, etc. We had a ton of stained oak trim. Sanded the poly. Hit a bunch of it with mineral spirits. A coat of BIN. Then two coats of trim paint. Also used it on areas that have stains or weird stuff. Don't waste your money using this on raw drywall or clean trim. If there is wood stain or stains or just strange material, Bin is the answer.

    Just What I Needed!
Used this product to rid our house of a cat urine smell, tried to have the carpets cleaned and that did nothing so we had no choice but to rip out the year old carpet and pad and seal the subfloor. Took 3 cans to do the livings room with 3 coats, but it worked like a charm I swear by this stuff!

Killer primer for a killer look with Kilz
This is a great primer. I used it to prime a stained wood on my staircase, which was going to be painted white. If you don't prime over oil/stains your paint will not adhere to the correct finish.

    Excellent coverage and stain blocking
I really like this product for the way it covers and blocks stains in wood. I was surprised at how well it works on end-grain. It gives a really good seal to those cut ends.

Am very pleased with this Kilz aerosol primer. I was amazed at its adhesion and color match.
As said above, I am very happy with Kilz aerosol white primer. Will be looking to buy more when I run out because it has the best adhesion and its color match was perfect. Too, Kilz avoided a serious problem I am aware of with its competitor Rust-oleum's Painter's Touch aerosol white primer, which is Rust-oleum's loses pressure before product can be used up.

    Overspray
The spray works, however, it deposits a fine paint "dust" over EVERYTHING below !! I read where someone used a sheet of cardboard to alleviate this problem, but I didn't read it until AFTERWARDS ! My bad. And I also found this sold individually/ single cans at Lowes' for $4.79. so I purchased it there so as not to buy a whole case. They also had KILZ spray (10 oz.) Not sure which I prefer....both produce about the same results...UP is less expensive and comes in a 14 oz can, though.

    covers well
I was kinda worried that it wouldn't match the color especially when I first sprayed it on but it worked great and dried to the same color.

    Quick and Easy
I bought this product so I could cover up the paint I got on the ceiling when painting the walls that would be fast and easy. I only bought one can at first but it worked out and looked so good that I'm about to buy a six pack to finish the job. I hate painting so this was a huge win for me.

I am pleased with the product. It covers very well, which allowed for one top coat of paint. I would purchase it again.

    THE best primer
1-2-3 is my go to primer, way better than Killz or other brands. I have used it to cover walls painted bright red and deep olive. This time, my condo hall closet was full of black rubber scuff marks up and down the walls (from the previous owners). I figured two coats of primer at least. 1-2-3 covered in one coat plus a few touch up spots. I was able to paint over it with one additional coat of white paint and it looks like new.

Kilz spray primer, sealer, and stain blocker
primer, sealer, and stain blocker did exactly what it is supposed to do covering the stain for the area to be painted 100%

    Great Product!
Been using for years. Great primer and stain killer. Be cautious if using a lot in a confined area such as a bathroom. This is extremely flammable. Provide plenty of ventilation for the fumes to escape.

    Primer
I needed something to cover a mural that was painted with browns and blacks on a bedroom wall. This primer worked perfect with one coat, no bleed through with the dark colors underneath.

    Highly reccomend
I have to say I was very happy with this product. We primed our basement with this primer utilizing an airless sprayer and a 515 spray tip. This product self levels like a dream! My husband isn't the greatest at catching drips and lets just say that he went back to touch up some spots on moldings 30 minutes after he had sprayed and just made a goopy mess in a few small areas with a brush. I wasn't looking forward to having to spend forever sanding down those problem areas. I was very surprised ... read more to come back the next day and see how well those areas had self leveled with this product requiring very little sanding. I would highly recommend, though be aware that the drywall tends to soak up this product. We ended up using 4- 5 gallon buckets for our 1500 s.f. basement.

Must buy for covering new drywall
In the process of refinishing our basement and a friend recommended I use this before the Behr goes on. It was pretty inexpensive so I went for it. I seriously could not be more pleased with the results. The paint went on easily and covered very well. It initially goes on gray which makes it easier to see any missed spots. It dries white, leaving you with the perfect base layer. Highly recommend this product, it seems like it let me use less of the color to go on top because it covered the drywall/mud so well.

    Great Primer
We bought this primer specifically for use on new drywall, which is the intended purpose of a PVA product. The paint evened out the wall textures between mud and paper on the first coat. Of course you can see some areas of lighter or heavier coverage from rolling (you really need to look hard) but this is a primer not the top coat. It's main purpose is to seal new drywall and provide a consistent texture, it does that well. The clean up of this product is amazing, all the paint came off our ... read more hands and drips came off clothes with a little soap and warm water. One other great thing where we applied a second coat; this primer goes on grey and dried to pure white. The greyness helps you see painted vs unpainted spots so you can get consistent coverage. Tools: 3in straight brush for cut in, quality 3/8 nap roller.

used to fix wallpaper in place over drywall
Thirty-five years ago I put wall-paper on drywall that I had not sized; I learned later sizing would not have mattered; the wall-paper glue would have penetrated through the sizing used in 1980s. Then, twenty years later, I put on new wall-paper (which only my wife liked) right over the first one. As time went by, finally she tired of that wall-paper and it was time for a change. Painting was the only option; wall-paper would be too expensive and I just don't want to wall-paper. I knew that to ... read more remove the wall-paper would be a disaster. From the Internet, I learned that putting latex paint directly onto the wall-paper would be a disaster. The elegant solution was wash the wall-paper and put on three coats of Zinsser Cover-Stain. Perhaps three coats was over-kill but I did not want to have any hint of a problem with latex-paint. The entire job was an overwhelming success. I do suggest to only use this product when you can have the windows open overnight.

Better For Spraying Better All Around
I am a professional painting contractor in Greensburg PA spraying this product on wood trim before install it sprayed smooth with great pattern and fan. Ran out bought stain killer from Sherwin Williams and Kilz both had very course solids that were horrible to spray after Cover Stain. Much smoother product. At Alois Painting we only use this primer for stain blocking. Seals smoke, water, ink, nicotine stains with ease. Oil base products are always better for wood priming, rust and stain ... read more blocking. Best Price at Home Depot
