    A must for drywall
This product helped me to paint a wall that wallpaper was removed. The paint went on very smooth after using this product.

Best paint when you have a stain that you need to cover
My roof leaked and i had it fixed but there was ugly stains on the inside. I bought Kilz and painted it. No bleed thru and it looks great.

    It works fine
I applied one coat of this wood primer on my composite deck before I put on one coat of deck paint. The wood primer is thick and looks semi creamy. Dries fast and leaves a shiny and hard coat on the deck. There is no way I can tell whether it will make my paint last longer at this point but it definitely fill out a lot of the cracks and dents thus saves me some paint. It also makes application of later coating easier.

    Good Product
This is another good product from Rust Oleum. I used this primer over a solid stain using a roller for good coverage. It went on pretty evenly. It looked milky at first then dried pretty clear with a shine.

    Highly recomended prep method
Finishes like a shellac, but the topcoat (restore 2X) seemed to really adhere to it nicely. Milky substance is easy to work with and the sq footage on the can was pretty accurate. I have a 16x24 deck with railings and spindles and needed about 2 cans. Will need another if I want to prime the lattice work. Im also a fan of the restore 2X solid stain, I was expecting a nightmare but the product was super easy to apply as well, not as goopy and peanut buttery as the other deck restore products on the market.

    Great Coverage
We tried this on a 3bd/2ba 1940s fix-up with some lead paint and mildew concerns and it worked great on both the interior and exterior. When we opened the pails, there was some separation with a thick base and about a half inch of liquid on top, but it mixed out well and applied easily. The ecobond covered the walls really well and accepted the satin topcoat well with no streaks or bleeding through. We were going to prime the kitchen cabinets, too (they were painted and in poor condition), but ... read more we decided to replace all the cabinets and left a natural finish. We also were planning to contract for exterior vinyl siding, but it was easier to prime with ecobond and paint with behr ourselves.

It was the only lead based primer I could order.
Not sure! It came promptly and when I opened it, it was very thick. After painting half of what I needed to I realized it was leaving a med grade sandpaper texture! Not only that but it didn't really leave a solid coat, but one very sheer. I ended up resanding everything after I was done. Was the sandpaper texture necessary? I do see now that it is in the description but I'll replace the trim before I do this again.

    Ecobond Lbp
The coverage isn't that great but it seems to work well enough, went to other stores to find similar products they didn't have them available because of the VOC's, it pours and goes on like a paste, overall satisfied with the procedure, wish it was a little cheaper

    Love this product!!
Once I discovered Kilz primer came in an aerosol can I was immediately sold. I have always used kills for my go to primer. I recently refinished my oak kitchen cabinets using Kilz as well!! I refinish furniture for a living and since using this product I've been able to turn out my products much faster than I would have with using any other primer! Not to mention the incredible bonding it does to the wood surface and to the paint once it is applied. My paint coats always come out looking more ... read more vibrant and smooth after using Kilz. Trust me when I say, there is no substitute for Kilz!!! Kilz fo' life!!!!

    Excellent coverage and stain blocking
I really like this product for the way it covers and blocks stains in wood. I was surprised at how well it works on end-grain. It gives a really good seal to those cut ends.

    Money saver!
Original KILZ Primer is a life saver (money) Purchased a home from a bank repo it had been used and abused. Had to do a total face-lift throughout the entire home floor to ceiling there had been previous pets and from sitting empty critters in the home. Pulled up all the old carpet and then a coat of KILZ! finished product was spectacular! I would highly recommend KILZ for everyone as a base primer!

I really like KILZ what a time & money saver!!!
We care for 9 abandoned furry kids (dogs) and 3 cats they can be a hand full, accidents here & there all day & night. We had pretty nice carpet & vinyl flooring throughout the house in the beginning. I had to pull up the carpet cause I couldn't keep it clean enough. Of course we had urine stained floors with the bad smell. We knew we had to block the stain & smell 100% because I have COPD. We used KILZ primer and then painted the floor over the primer. It looks great. It has been 5 months and ... read more no bleeding or smells coming up...FANTASTIC!!! Thank you KILZ!!!

Using Kilz for almost 30 years
I've been using Kilz for almost 30 years. I first bought Kilz for a foreclosure back in 1984. The house was empty for about a year & smelled musty. The ceiling had water spots from a leak in the bathroom, the walls & ceilings also had brown running from smoking people! Kilz covered everything! I bought Kilz for my current house, because we doubled the square footage with an addition and the new drywall just soaks up regular paint like a sponge. It's worth a few extra bucks to buy a quality ... read more product! You don't use as much & much less work!!!

    Rustoleum Primer
It is extremely helpful to use a primer on rusty metal. I did prepare the surface first which also led to smoother coverage. It dried very quickly. Not knowing how the coverage would be, I purchased a larger container than I needed. After priming the metal I followed with regular Rustoleum. I expect this paint job to last a very long time.

    Gets the job done
I purchased this two-pack deal since I have lots of outdoor steel and iron on my property. I have always used Rustoleum paint products to paint ferrous metals. After thoroughly cleaning the metal I applied two coats of this primer with a wait of one day between coats. Afterwards, I applied two coats of the finishing paint. This paint job should last at least five years before I might have to repaint.

    A good primer for rust
This is a good primer for rusty metal. You don't have to sand the rust to bare metal. It adheres through the rust to the metal, and it lasts. And it looks like real primer, just as you'd see on a ship's hull.

    Primed kitchen
Our old house had very damaged kitchen walls with numerous layers of old paint/wallpaper. After extensive scraping and sanding etc to prepare the wall surface witch probably would have been easier to just put up new Sheetrock - we used the kilz primer to block out the old stains and it did exactly what we needed done - it worked great. My only disappointment is that we inadvertently bought the oil based which requires mineral sports for cleanup - which is very messy trying to clean up the ... read more rollers and paint tray. Ended up just having to throw them out. Will use the product again but would recommend the water based over the oil.

    Very effective primer paint
We are upgrading our kitchen, including refinishing the wall cabinets. They had a dark walnut finish, over 50 years old. Latex based primers weren't effective for painting over the dark finish. We found that this oil-based primer did the best job of covering over and sealing in preparation for a semi-gloss, "Polar Bear" top coat. Kilz is also very effective in covering and sealing stains on the shelves. We are very happy with the results, and the kitchen is so much brighter now.

    Good price, Great product
I highly recommend this product. Kilz primers are the best. Make sure to get some Mineral Spirits or other paint thinner to get it off your hands, it is a really good primer because it sticks to anything (including your hair and skin).
