    Easy Spray Primer
Repainting black shelves was so much easier using a spray on primer product. The coverage was mostly consistent and I will use this again on future painting projects.

    Great Product
Performed exactly as it was supposed to. Perm marker in sheet rock kept bleeding though my Behr paint. This spray pro stain cover did the coverage

Good, just not as good as the Kilz Complete
When the HD ran out of the spray can Kilz Complete I was using to prime the trim on my new shed, I bought a few cans of this to finish the job. It works well, it's just not quite as high a quality as the the Complete. Considering the price difference, that's to be expected. It covers well, it's just seems to be a bit thinner, and I had to be more careful to prevent runs. The nozzle on the can also leaked some. As far as the the products ability to prime for painting, it works well.

Good product, watch where you spray!
Extremely tacky, covers well, but used two coats on most spots.

    Problem Slover
We decided to have new flooring installed, one area of the old carpeting had a strong cat urine smell. After the carpet was removed the smell was still there. We had tried just about everything to get rid of the smell so prior to the installation or the new flooring we purchased and used BIN to cover the area. We were surprised when it worked but it did work and successfully covered and eliminated the smell. The new flooring is now down and looks great. BIN really works.

Sticks to glossy surfaces VERY well
So far, I am very pleased with this product. After a lot of research, I decided on this, and couldn't be more pleased. I purchased it with the intention of refinishing some furniture of mine (veneer and laminate). It went over glossy surfaces and clung to them. I have yet to paint over the primer, but as for now, this stuff is great! Will use again.

    excellant choice
tis product was used on a subfloor, after the carpeting was taken up. previous tenants neglected to train ther animals, therefore the animals did there business on the carpeting. the smell was horrible. after scrubbing the floor, and letting it dry i put two liberal coats of bin 123 shellac on the floor, closed the door and opened the window a bit. i came back two days later, and the smell was gone. the carpet installers came and did there work, and were pleased with the result of this product. ... read more although the product is a little pricer than the others that are offered, it was well worth it.

Covers stains well but has strong oder
Looks like you have to try it to see if its right for you after reading the other reviews. I used this on my ceilings after applying new sheetrock. I found it covered stains and the transition from the old painted surface to the new sheetrock surface better than the less expensive item I used before. However, contrary to another reviewer, I found the smell & fumes very strong and needed to wear a dust mask and open the windows until it dried. After it dried, I only needed one coat of ceiling ... read more paint to get a perfect white finish. Of course the ceiling paint you use could make all the difference. But getting back to the smell, even my dog who was in the next room sleeping moved two rooms away to sleep while I was working without me telling him to and he usually sticks to me like glue. May not want to use indoors if its too cold to open the windows. I am not a frequent user so maybe I am more sensitive to the smell than someone who works with this stuff all the time.

    Works Great!
My house had a big mold issue in the basement once I cleaned up the mold and put one coat of this Primer on no More Mold issues! Was so happy with the results now going to Prime all my walls in the house! I would Highly recommend this to anyone.

This product worked great my whole house was full of soot the ceilings and walls were black after 2 coats of this primer the ceiling and walls were totally white. The primer had a very low order which was surprising considering other primers. I will use this primer again and again and again

    Great product- horrible delivery
It's pricey but well worth it. I used on knotty pine. So far, no bleeding-through of knots. It took 3 coats on knots- but that was expected. At first, I thought the primer was too thin. But it obviously is made that way. Don't try to move it around a lot once it is on the desired surface. It gets gummy. This, I am sure, is due the chemical composition.

    Goodbye cigarette odors and stains!
Like the title says, this stuff works for cigarettes stains and odors. And not "pretty much works" or "masks it for a while", but it really will completely hide and seal cigarette pollution on walls. I bought a house that had been heavily smoked in for a long time and I didn't realize it until the brand new paint that the remodelers/sellers used had dried out. Thank heavens for this amazing primer. This has changed our home back into its original condition. It's night and day. The price is high ... read more but so very worth it. Be aware it needs a very thorough shaking and is runny and noxious. Wear a chemical mask (the small, white face masks for dust will NOT work) and safety goggles. Buy quality brushes or rollers meant for oil based paints. It thins with ammonia which is quite cheap, so another plus.

    So easy! Looks super--see photos!
I used it on our kitchen ceiling where there had been severe peeling (and where no other product worked). It went on smoothly and evenly and dried quickly. I used a texture over it and "voila" a like-new ceiling!! FYI: I'm a female DIYer and did it myself without a problem.

    Great product
Primer went on thick and helped fill in small imperfections. This was on a porch step that gets a lot of traffic and paint job holding up very well.

    Awesome
Product worked great! Just as described. Tested two areas one where i put it and one not. The area this is on is no longer peeling. Other side still peeling

    Fantastic Product
I've used this primer twice now. The first time I removed carpet in a room with cat odor that seeped through to the floor. I put down 1 coat on the bare-wood floors and the odor was gone. The second time I was painting wood doors that were just clear coated 25-years ago. I lightly sanded the doors then primed. It took 1-coat to seal the tannin bleed. Do not trust any water-based primer to seal tannin bleed, it won't work. Be aware this primer is very thin and may leave a lot of drips. Also the ... read more odor is strong. Open windows and use a fan for proper ventilation. Its pricey but worth it.

    No More Cat Smell
This is the best we've found for getting rid of the cat smell. Remember to where a mask when applying.

    The best for pet urine
We use this on subfloors after pulling carpet or tile. We have sanded, then sealed hardwood with this product, the only way to salvage them, though you end up top coating them with paint. We like Muralo floor paint here on the east coast, butt brands sold here and at blue are acceptable.

    Kilz Premium stickiness question
Last weekend I used the Kilz Premium water based primer on some molding in doorways in my living room. The boards had been previously painted or primed white but some knots were still showing through. So I bought the Kilz Premium and painted them again. They look great! The problem is that if I put my hand on them, even a week later, it seem a bit sticky/tacky to the touch. And one of the doors of the newly primed doorway is now sticking. Why? Or what should I do? I was hoping that one coat of ... read more Kilz was all if need. Thank you.

    Top Notch Stain Blocker.
I swear by this product. I bought a house that had tons of wall stains and dark ugly colors. It took one coat on most of the walls with Premium Kilz. Just a few dark stains took a second coat.. After using this great product first.. it only took one coat of paint to get the wall looking great and like brand new. Not only does it cover stain it also is mildew resistant.. Great feature also.. So if you are looking to paint a bathroom or problem walls take the time to seal them with Kilz Premium ... read more you won't be disappointed.

Took care of my smelly situation!
When I bought my house it was a fixer-upper, to put it mildly, it had been abandoned for months at a time with animals let to roam free inside. It smelled like it for sure. I took up all of the flooring, and before it was time to lay down new floor, I sealed all of the sub-floor with Kilz Premium. The lingering odor dissipated and once I did the same for the walls, everything in my home had a fresh clean smell about it and I never have to be concerned again of any unwanted or undesirable scents ... read more creeping their way back towards my home.
