    Helps Prevent Frozen Pipes
We don’t hit hard freeze in this part of CA very often, or for very long. Despite this, I still find it a good idea to protect some of our exposed 1” diameter PVC exterior water pipes. This product comes pre-scored down the 6’ length for easy splitting by hand with not extra tools necessary. Once split, it can easily be wrapped over exposed pipes for added freeze protection. Since this product does not hand a self-sealing feature, I highly suggest securing the wrap (method of your choosing: ... read more zip-tie, tape, etc…). I prefer to cover this foam with 2.5” 324A tape to prevent sun damage & it adds a little extra protection. Since this product does “snap” over the pipe, securing it is at your discretion. Product holds up well on its own for a few seasons depending on sunlight exposure outdoors. Also find this to be very hands for a number of other household uses ranging from craft projects, added padding on the kids bikes, padding on my boat bow rails, flotation for fishing nets & poles …. The list of uses is limited only by ones imagination to use something for an alternative use at a fraction of the cost.

Found a new use for these babies!!!
I have a backyard ice rink at my house. Every year, keeping the liner in place on the boards is a real challenge. Some years I have used Clips, staples, clamps. None of these solutions seem to work. I have seen some people have used pool noodles, but it seems like that can be super expensive, especially when there is a lot of liner feet. I figured, that these things could serve the same purpose....and boy was I right. I just used a small srew with a washer to fasten them in place and the hold ... read more the liner perfectly.

    Just what I needed
This product is great for wrapping pipes without any problems.

    Great Product!
This is a wonderful new product which I am sure will make my winters less stressful. And it is a great way to make ugly pipes less obtrusive. My neighbor got one for her pipes that are located "around the corner" from mine. I was so impressed with the new look that I had to find where to buy them. They are fairly expensive, but will keep my pipes from freezing for years to come, I am sure.

Does the job so far. Adequate to the task.
Adequate for the ask. A bit big, but it is the only standard size that would fit.

Perfect for covering above ground Backflow Preventer.
Got this to help protect our Backflow Preventer, which is above ground due to the rocky terrain in our area, from freezing in the winter. I had seen it on various websites and was delighted to find that I could order it through Home Depot with free shipping to my house. I had no trouble fitting it over the Backflow Preventer and am confident it will protect it from freezing. Highly recommended.

    Too soon to tell . . .
Easy to put on, but the upcoming winter weather will determine if it really keeps my spigot from freezing.

    2-1/4 in. Sock Faucet Cover
Easy to install on of the outside faucet/ spicket. It was well worth the 2 minute install to cover for winter.

Hummingbirds will love you for this!
I wind the cable around the glass container of hummingbird feeders and secure it in place with tearable duct tape, It keeps the feeders/liquid from freezing when the temperatures plunge, so over-wintering hummers are able to continue feeding.

My outside oil furnace lines were frozen at -5 degrees. After installing heat tape no problem at -16 degrees

    higher quality product
Buying this by the box was a reasonably good deal. The rubber should hold up longer compared to the cheaper stuff I used that breaks when touched.

Good value, Easy to install, Soft, Bends well.
It is very easy to install and it is very soft (because it is rubber), therefore it bends well for some turns (of course, not sharp ones). But the only problem I have is the self-sealing doesn't work well. It keeps on popping open, and I end up using many cable ties to bind it. I would say, it's too tight if you are using 1" pipe. But it seems loose if you are using 3/4" pipe (and of course, in this case, the self-sealing would not fail). You probably want to get some cable ties or insulation ... read more tape if you are using this product on 1" pipes. Oh, by the way, did I say it is still a good value after all?

Has worked well. I like the rubber better than foam
The rubber is more flexible than foam. It is more durable as well. Install is easy. I always use some duct/gorilla tape at a few spots to ensure it stays closed though the self stick seems strong.

    Thermolite Foam Insulation
Very easy to use and cuts well with little pilling. A simple and effective way to increase home efficiency, and even adds more time of hot water. Even works well on flexible tubing.

    Excellent insulation
This stuff is the best when wrapping PVC pipes to protect them against freezing.

    Multi-purpose
I used this to seal the seams of my pipe insulation. I had some leftover. It is great as weatherstripping as well as a wrap on my tools that don't have grips (my shovel and rake)!!!

    Good stuff
Might want to check your product description. It states that it is 30 inches long. It should be 30 ft.

    Good stuff
Had tried another brand which seemed to stick well - but 3 days later, it was letting loose. This Armacell insulation sticks much better.

    Worked for my needs
This Tubolit insulation was ~$1 for 6' vs. $6 for 6' for the armaflex and a similar R value.
