It was a great buy for the price.
We had 3 weeks of non-stop rain that caused our entire property to stay flooded. My husband used this pump at 3 different locations and was able to drain almost all of the standing water into the county drainage ditch. We were truly impressed with its performance. It was slow because we hooked 300 feet of garden hoses to it, but in two days we were able to see the ground again.

    1/4 HP Submersible Utility Pump
This pump performed just as it is advertised to do. I used it to empty my pond and swimming pool. Performed very well and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a submersible pump.

    Sturdy and easy to use
I have been using this exact model of pump for 15 years in my midwifery practice. We use them to pump out portable birthing tubs (140 to 240 gallons size). This gets the job done quickly, quietly, and down to almost the last drop. They last a long time. I periodically have to replace them but not often at all. They get a lot of use.

    Grey water pump
Using the pump daily to move grey water from bathtub to lawn. It is fast and easy to use. It's against code to hard pipe grey water where I live so hose attachment was a must.

    Did the job
I bought this to drain a small pond in the landscaping of a home I just bought. It was neglected and full to the top with murky water and leaves. I dropped the pump in and it pumped the pond dry in minutes. Sturdy built pump and fast. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

    Simple and Fast
I needed a pump to empty my hot tub and picked this one after a lot of web research. Have only used it once, but it worked great, drained 350 gallons in an hour with about a 3 ft. rise using the garden hose reducer on the outlet. The power cord is plenty long enough, and the unit is nicely weighted to stay put. Instructions were simple, hookup and operation were easy. The only "con" I have is that the instructions say it will pump down to 1/4 of an inch, but it needs 2 5/8 inches of water to ... read more operate, so keep an eye on the water level to avoid over heating the pump. Hoping to use this 3-4 times a year, time will tell how durable this unit is.

    Great Pump for the Price
For my first time use in draining my pool, it did take about 12 hours to drains 17000 gal approximately. That was using the larger 1.25" inch hoses. So not as fast as renting home depots take home pump, but I think over the life of my pool it’s worth it. So I hope it works just as well next time around.

    more hp is good
1/2 hp pump is better than a 1/3 hp pump. The 3/4 hose fitting outlet can be used either vertical or horizontal...which is good. I use the pump to remove rain water in an unused pool. The only drawback is that draining a larger (almost flat) area causes the pump to get warm as the water level goes down and the pump is no longer completely submerged

    Just In Case
Economical way to take care of emergency sump pump troubles for me.

    Works Great!
This pump was easy to assembly and worked efficiently and quickly to remove excessive standing storm water out of drains and from low-lying areas. The long pipe helped direct the excess water away from my home. And because I purchased the 36" unit, I did not have to bend too far, saving my back!

Works great so far.....portable, easy to clean and lightweight.

This product far exceeded my expectations!
My main water source is a 690 foot well. I was always concerned about over utilizing the well for garden watering, car washing, etc. I have now installed a rain water harvesting system which includes four 275 gallon totes. This past weekend I was able to power wash my entire pool area deck and concrete with the pump providing the water from my totes to the power washer. I was skeptical as to whether the pump would have the pressure to accomplish this but I was amazed to see the results. The deck ... read more looks like new and it hasn't been power washed in 7 years. I would highly recommend this Wayne pump! I use it for all my watering and the pressure is great using a hose nozzle.

    Close to city pressure, quality.
I have only had it for a day so I can't speak for longevity. The pressure is almost as good as city pressure. And my city pressure is very high. I only used it for a couple minutes and it did not get hot in those couple of minutes. It seems very sturdy. I used quick connects and a switched outlet box (that has an on/off switch) . My input hose is about 15 or 20 feet and output hose is 75 feet.

After two weeks I am still happy
Two things I did to mine was I added a ball valve to replace the primer plug. Now I just have to turn a lever add water, and turn the lever and fire it up. I also installed a short non restrictive hose shut off on the intake side so when I turn the pump off I shut that valve and it will hold it's prime. Otherwise you could install a foot valve which will do it automatically but my way is just fine.

    Great purchase!
Great purchase. I'm from the old mind set of you get what you pay for. So I was a little skeptical when initially purchasing this pump as it was less expensive compared to the others on the shelf, however, I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on something I was only going to use possibly only one time. I bought this product as my basement flooded due to a French drain issue. Ends up I had to use it a lot and was completely satisfied, from the initial saving at purchase compared to what it ... read more would have cost to purchase the other pumps to the pump being durable and quickly getting the water out of my basement. I now have remedied my French drain issue and the pump is sitting on the shelf awaiting the next emergency. :)

    Quiet Workhorse!
Super quiet, easy to use, attach to standard garden hose - this little utility pump is a workhorse! Quickly cleared standing 3 inch + water from my side patio. I routed hose up and over a concrete wall! Drain is clogged to the street. Until I can get that fixed, I needed to protect my garage and home and drain the standing water. I am a mom of 3, husband out of town and handled this with ease. Great product and I will use again until the drain is cleared!

    Just what I needed
I had to pump water out from under the house so a leaky water heater could be replaced. There was about 5 inches of water. This pump was perfect for my needs, all I needed was an extension chord and a standard water hose and the water was all gone in about 3 hours. I could have paid a plumber $85 per hour or done it myself for less than $100. The math was simple for me.

    Very Nice Utility Pump
I just got this pump and we used it in a IBC tote to pump rainwater that we catch from the roof. It works perfectly for watering the garden. We even washed our 30' camper this weekend with the same water by using a switched outlet to plug the pump into. I really liked that you can just hook a hose on it and drop the pump with the hose attached down into the tote. Perfect for what we use it for, but it says that you can evacuate water from a basement or something else that you might want to empty ... read more and you wouldn't have to wade in to start using it.

    Great Submersible Pump
This pump moves up to 1560 gallons an hour. I like the design. It is made of sturdy black plastic. I use it to drain my hot tub. Just screw on a hose, set it in the hot tub, and plug it in. Has a low volume hum as it pumps out the water. Has an easy carry mechanism on top. Also includes a filter screen to help prevent clogs on intake of water. Can be used as a sump pump by adding float switch.

    Good Little Pump
I bought this ridgid pump just in case of an emergency. We have had tropical type moisture here in the midwest over the past couple summers. I didnt want to get caught unprepared if my lower level patio flooded or if we had a back up in the basement The 20' cord is great which helps out with its portablity It was quiet and efficient through a few test runs Pumped water at very quickly through a 50' garden hose Good solid pump for the price! Warranty seems decent as well!

Haven't used this one, but it may replace one exactly like it
We inherited this pump when we bought our house and it's been working great to get water out of the basement. We're just not exactly sure how old it is so we bought another just so we're not stuck some day (would be our luck) and it actually seems unlikely I will need to use it. The current pump is working like a champ. I wish someone would make a small pump that had a float (our pipe is only about 6 inches) so I didn't have to watch this one but that's not a ding on this pump. For how it's ... read more designed, it works great. I will probably use it to clean our ponds.

Quiet, and does the job. Good value!
Just bought this pump to evacuate water from a flooded playground area. This thing is a champ - plugged it in, and it immediately started pulling water out, despite the mud and wood chips. It's not a firehose, but puts out a reasonable volume of water through the hose. Several hours later, most of the water is gone. And, it's perfectly silent while operating. I'm glad I spent a little more on this pump, rather than an "el cheapo" model.
