    Great Features
This unit was a replacement upgrade for an under warranty unit that failed. I really like the digital temperature setting. As my hot water heater is on it's own electric meter, this unit uses less energy than the previous heater and especially in the "Energy Saver" mode it uses about 25 kilowatt hours less each month. I also like the water probe sensor that will shut off the water supply in the event of a leak.

    Keeps me in hot water!
The unit was easy to install and has supplied plenty of hot water. This unit replaced a Rheem that came with my house in 1989! The electronic control panel makes it easy to change water temp and also provides a "vacation" mode that lowers water temperature when you are away for extended periods to conserve energy. The tall 50 gallon is only slightly wider then my old 40 gallon Rheem so it fits in the tight space I have while the insulation in the new unit appears quite robust. I really like this unit so far.

    Hot Water Heater (Electric)
Was easy to install. Like the two lights to indicate water is hot.

    So far so good
Just replaced a 6 year Rheem that lasted over 12 years with this model. I debated the more expensive platinum 12 year model but after seeing all the reviews complaining about the LCD display going out I decided to step down to this model. The LED panel on this one only gives the status of the water heater and I dont see how it would keep the system from working if it went out. Only complaint is the install could have been a bit easier if it would have been the same 56" that the old Rheem was, ... read more luckily everything worked in my case without any major re-plumbing. A word of caution though, dont freak out like I did when you first power it up and only the power and top element lights come on. Give it time and the top element will turn off and lower element will come on. I guess the dont both work at the same time. No leaks, everything worked so I give it 5 stars.

    Great Product
Water heater has only been installed for 1 month but it is virtually silent. Time will only tell if my electric bill will be lower. Sofar I would buy this one again. Goodprice forthe energy efficiency.

    Working good so far
Fingers crossed it last the 9 years cause that whole ordeal is a pain. Only complaint was a misprint in the operation Manuel. We had to call in cause we thought something was wrong with the heating elements.

    As expected
The hot water heater I purchased has been so quiet, I had to go check to see if it was working! It is definitely working and made me realize just how bad I needed a new one. Good Value too!

    Good water heater so far
Standard water heater. Pretty easy installation. Only been installed less than six months but no problems so far. I researched it and this was the replacement model for a GE branded that was previously installed. That GE model lasted over twice as long as the warranty indicated. I finally got scared to leave it in any longer before it might start leaking. I hope this one is just as good.

Nice water heater for the money.
I needed to replace a 15 year old builders grade unit. This Rheem water heater was just the ticket. Looked first online for reviews and settled on this unit. I am so glad I did. First month electric bill was almost $40 lower. There may be other factors at play but it was sure nice to see the lower bill after I replaced the unit. My family of four now has plenty hot water. Thank you Rheem!!

    Excellant product
In the weeks that we have had the Rheem water heater; that I installed myself, we have had no problems. Our purchase was for a mobile home and it has proved itself to meet our needs. Too, the warranty give me peace of mind - doubt if it will ever be needed! Thank you for what you do at Rheem, Tony Stout

Excellent for saving money and POU
This was the only 20 gallon water heater we could find with dual elements. The dual elements allow for a very fast recovery when high usage occurs. We use it as a POU (point of use) for our kitchen, washing machine, and dishwasher. Have not ran out of hot water yet when using multiple appliances. We replaced a 60 gallon WH which was an energy hog, this will pay for itself very quickly. This unit is only 3' tall so be prepared to move plumbing/electrical if it will be sitting on the floor.

    Hot Water Tank
Installed in crawl space with 36" vertical space to bottom of floor joists. Two 3800 watt heating elements designed so that only one can be on at a time. Use 20 amp., 2 pole, 240 V circuit breaker, #12 AWG cable. Easy installation, no leaks, light weight and efficient. No blanket necessary. Provides adaquate service for two.

    Great little water heater.
Heats water very quickly with two elements. Dimensions were accurate as specified. I needed to fit it into a tight space and I never mail ordered a water heater before. Very satisfied with my purchase. I'm thinking of putting one in my mobile home as well. Home Depot Customer Service was great with in-store pickup.

    Dependable Rheem
Replaced a propane heater with this electric waterheater. No problems with installation, works well. The last Rheem waterheater I owned lasted 55 years!

    IT's a water heater.
It's water heater. I installed it in one afternoon, filled it ,turned it on and after a while, hot water came out. What more could you ask? The pre- installed dielectric nipples are a nice touch.

    Great Buy
I can use all the hot water I want and it costs less to run than my old, smaller water heater

I am happy with it so far
It is installed two weeks ago and we are happy so far. I got a plumber to install and it took 1 hour.

    VERY good hot water heater
I haven't run out of hot water, yet. This hot water heater works well, fits in the space under my stairs, was easy to install (myself) and goes beyond my expectations. HOWEVER, the screws in the top thermostat were stripped when I tried to install it and resulted in the sheet metal cover being bent all to heck :-( Other than that- it works well, though I will be replacing the anode, shortly, as my well water produces a sulfur ('rotten egg') smell that is due to the magnesium anode rod in most ... read more water heaters. Not a big deal, though.

    Easy Install and Works Great
First time I've replaced a water heater and I enjoyed the experience. Was thrilled that it included an insulation blanket. Didn't even notice that when I bought it. Installation took me a full day (first time and no help). But I did it. Used sharkbite for the cold and hot lines on top. Did copper for the other, and added a steel expansion tank (model DET-5). Water is SUPER HOT, heats up super fast, and with the expansion tank, no running toilets! Cost me about $150 in parts and tools to get this all done.

    Works just fine
Slightly larger diameter than the 50 gal it replaced so had to enlarge the door opening to get it into place, Seems to work fine, easy to hook up.

    Rheem 47 gal short
unfortunately this unit does not have auto circulation which is a nice feature to have to deal with sediment but beggars cant be choosers for this size configuration there are not many options out there. I had it installed by a professional.
