First one leaked, Home Depot provided warranty replacement
Marathon heater developed slow internal leak after two months. Home Deport arranged warranty replacement through Rheem. Employee (Amy) even delivered replacement in her personal vehicle and on her lunch hour. Hope this one meets expecations. Home Depot customer service could not have been better.

    So far so good!!
The water heater delivers much hotter water than the old one, even at the factory set temp. It does not take as long for the water to be hot when you turn on the shower.

Marathon 40 Gal Hot Water Heater
Bought this heater given it's all plastic design ie no anode rod ie no "smelly water". The unit is great appearance and quality. Installed with no issues and so far has worked fantastic. Not the cheapest heater around but again the only one with the all plastic design and has so far solved our smelly water problem!

    Great Product
Water heater has only been installed for 1 month but it is virtually silent. Time will only tell if my electric bill will be lower. Sofar I would buy this one again. Goodprice forthe energy efficiency.

    Rheme Water Heater
Installation by Home Depot Installation team, removed the old water heater and installed the Rheme unit. The team was able to do a slight relocation creating more usable room in our utility room. Everything was cleaned up and have had no issues and have lots of hot water!!

    Great Electric Heater Replacement
This replaced my Bradford White 40 gallon with a 6 yr warranty but died after 13 years. I choose this Model for the 9 year warranty to get that same piece of mind since they didn't have a 12 yr in the nearby stores that fit my dimensions. It's been a month and so far so good. I like having the visual LED to show which element is activated. When you first connect everything, the top heating elements will light up first and about 40 min later it will switch to the bottom heating elements. Lining ... read more up and cutting new pipes to fit new dimensions is trickiest part and that's what you will have to be most prepared for. I had help from someone with experience in soldering and cutting copper pipes. Pros: The manufacture date was 1 month prior to purchase. Led heating element lights, 9 year warranty for couple hundred more than base model. Thin enough to fit into existing small laundry room space. Cons: Plastic grommet on the hot water side was not seated properly like the cold side which was flush to the top of the water heater. I wasn't going to go through the hassle of going back to the store. Small attention to details can be made by Quality department since this is not a cheap product.

    High Performace.
I went out of my way to purchase a Rheem after being very dissatisfied with 3 previous water heaters purchased from Lowes. Installation of the Rheem was easy and so far it has out performed it's predecessors. I'm happy with it's quality and believe it will out last them also. My thx to RHEEM.

Nice water heater for the money.
I needed to replace a 15 year old builders grade unit. This Rheem water heater was just the ticket. Looked first online for reviews and settled on this unit. I am so glad I did. First month electric bill was almost $40 lower. There may be other factors at play but it was sure nice to see the lower bill after I replaced the unit. My family of four now has plenty hot water. Thank you Rheem!!

    Good water heater so far
Standard water heater. Pretty easy installation. Only been installed less than six months but no problems so far. I researched it and this was the replacement model for a GE branded that was previously installed. That GE model lasted over twice as long as the warranty indicated. I finally got scared to leave it in any longer before it might start leaking. I hope this one is just as good.

    Plastic tank a must
I live in a harsh water environment. Last two tanks had their annode rods eaten up within 4 years. Tanks started leaking within a year after that. Plastic tank and no required annode rod is the way to go here.

The best water heater we've ever owned
This is by far the very best water heater we have ever owned. We installed a 50 gal unit, 11 years ago, and still today we have had to do nothing to it at all. No leaks, rust, just good efficiency. We are adding on to the house and glad homedepot sells these now since this price is way better than what we paid over 11 years ago. Glad to see them selling these.

Easy to install with one person. Water's good!
I'm a rather slim dude, but even I was able to set this heater in place without any additional hands. It is very lightweight and was easy to install. Water seems to reheat quickly. Two slightly annoying things: 1) The location of the electrical box. It would be nice if that was in the back so that the wiring isn't, essentially, dangling in the front of it. 2) Having to remove two front covers to adjust both thermostats, while not a cumbersome task, is still irksome. I understand there are two ... read more heating elimantes, but why can't they both be controlled by one common thermostat? There are warnings that they both need to be the same anyway.

    Light weight, easy installation
Works great, but could use larger heaters for faster recovery

Our second Rheem Water Heater Has Not Failed Us.
We purchased this Rheem water heater based on our own experience with a Rheem product and the good reviews this water heater received. We were not disappointed. Our old Rheem water heater was a 50 gallon tank. We are empty nesters but we have grandkids that are always visiting us. Needless to say (even though we are empty nesters) the 50 gallon tank did not provide enough hot water. The plumber installed this water heater with no problems. Got hot water right away and no leaks! We can now take ... read more hot showers without the water getting cold. Yeeeeeeeeeeah. We have been using it for about 3 weeks and so far no problems. Did I see this right - has the reviews on this gone from 5 to over 200. Wow! My plumber recommended this product to another client. Can't get a better recommendation better than that.

    great buy
This replaced a 40 gallon that was leaking and full of sediment. Fit easily in it's place and quickly heated 80 gallons. No more cold showers here, great buy!

It will take a lifetime to review
Tall & skinny, the appearance is beautiful. Comes in a wood crate, unassembled but easy to put together. We shall see how long it lasts?

    Excellent water heater
Very high quality construction and well insulated. Heats fast and recovers very quickly. Installation is pretty straightforward. If you are confident in your basic plumbing and electrical skills, DIY installation is a snap. If you need to hire someone to install this unit, any handyman/contractor worth his salt should be able to do the job in couple hours depending on where it needs to go. Mine is in a closet in the laundry room, very simple. With the quality of construction and the lifetime ... read more warranty, I expect this to be the last water heater I'll ever have to buy.

The best water heater I have ever purchased. Beautiful stainless jacket and very easy to install. Technical support was also amazing spoke with Allen or it maybe was Alex.

    As expected
The hot water heater I purchased has been so quiet, I had to go check to see if it was working! It is definitely working and made me realize just how bad I needed a new one. Good Value too!

    Very Satisfied
We did not install the hot water heater ourselves so cannot rate the ease of installation. We are very happy with this hot water heater so far. I would definitely recommend this water heater.

Seems to be a good one
It wasn't rated as the most efficient one available & it definitely doesn't have the current wifi/smart gimmicks; but it seems to be a quality basic unit that will fit our needs
