    Heating elements fail
Worked great for 6 months then came the cold water, lukewarm, cold etc.. Tech support sent both heating elements, hot water again. The original elements were corroded beyond belief and the cold water element was nearly burned in half, I have a whole house water filter that traps 99% of sand, silt what ever. We like the unit, it's an energy saver however, if you purchase one call tech support right away when the water temperature starts to fluctuate, it's not the control board or the sensors, ... read more it's the heating elements

I have looked for these at an affordable price for 0ver three years.
I was unable to find anyone that knew anything about this type of water heater until I went to the Home Depot store in Lee's Summit MO. The staff there are knowledgeable, and took the time to help me find the size that would best suit my needs. I had been using Lowes for all my building needs, but now use Home Depot. The product itself is of excellent quality, and I expect many years of hot water for much less that any conventional water heater could give.

It does what it says it will...
After much research, I chose this unit due to the amprage and wiring needed. The bigger unit would of been preferred, but limited space in electric panel for an addition double breaker and the additional guage wire and number of wires required. I was a little skeptical if this unit could meet my needs, but after installation completed I was able to confirm a 76 degree rise in temp (10ft away) and 66 degree rise in temp (over 150ft away from unit) running a lavatory faucet and a shower. ... read more Installation was easy once wire run to unit from panel (approx 50ft). Incoming water temp was 44 degrees from a deep well in Southwest MI in April when install completed.

Why do they make the large tanks when they have these?
We bought our 3 bdrm, 2 bathroom condo about 6 months ago with a very small kitchen with little cabinet space. i don't understand why more people don't have these! We never run out of hot water or have an issue with having enough.

    Easy to install
Started it up today. Very easy to install. The plumbing connections were easy. An electrician did the required upgrades for the power (from the lesser requirements for the tank heater we had). Easy to use and set.

    Perfect garage solution
Under $200, don't need to keep water hot in a tank, fits snugly next to my garage 3rd stall sink, might cost $1 in electricity to produce hot water for an hour so it probably will cost less than $1/month to run, what's not to like? The only hitch I had was that the ferrule on the inlet side leaked a little, wouldn't stop even with more tightening than I like. I bought new ferrules for both the heater inlet and the compression ball valve that fed it, changed them out, leak stopped, problem solved ... read more for about $2.50.

RETE-13 TANKLESS WATER HEATER: Works for me...
Works as advertised. Installation was easy, especially since it was new construction. ( didn't have to modify an existing setup ) Does require a high amperage service connection. Running a washing machine and dog grooming tub. Used lightly for about 6 months now, and I have no complaints.

Tankless water heater is the way to go
We replaced or old water heater with this tankless unit. My husband did the install after getting required breaker and wire from homedepot. We are extremely pleased with the results. We are actually using it as a whole house water heater. And no issues thus far. You can shower and use dish washer at the same time. We live in a 3 br 2 bath mobile home and like I said it is big enough to support our hot water usage. Great investment .

    Great addition to my house.
The installation was a simple matter of running a new wire to the location that I wanted to place the tankless hot water heater. It has been a god send for the grandkids that take a long shower. NEVER run out of water!!! I have recommended this to some of my freinds and at least one has installed it and is happy with the results.

    This is a wonderful unit.
This is a wonderful unit. Since I have really cold ground water, it takes a little longer to heat the water in the winter but well worth the wait. I have not had it long eonugh to see the savings but look forward to it.

    Great for limited space
Was not very hard to install. The flow of hot water seems to be enough for showering. We have a 1200 sq ft 2nd home with 1 shower and more than likely not run washer and dishwasher at same time. Not sure on the light bill yet. We also put a filter system in because it was recomended with well water. Works great for our needs.

    I love the feature
I just received it on the 17th of this month and love it so much. The length and look is very nice, and works well in the place where we have it installed. Thank you for a great product.

    Good product so far
The 3.0 GPM Electric Tankless Water Heater is smaller then the one I was replacing and easier to install. It is working great so far, I will see how long this one will last. The one I had only lasted 3 years. and the part that went out was circuit broad that was not under the warranty.

    Great for a small house.
Took out my 30 gallon tank and put this in our small house. 1 bath 2 bedrooms . Had to run new wiring. 6 gauge wire with a 50 amp breaker. Works great! We never run out of hot water .

    Unlimited hot water
I had this unit installed and had hot water in minutes. The electrician charged around $600 to run wiring. I did the plumbing and instal myself. It was very easy to put on the wall. I used shark bite fitting. I noticed a savings of about $100 on my last electric bill but I'll try to update this review because it went from very cold to average temp outside so I think the heat not being on affected my bill as well. I have high flow shower heads and noticed the pressure was a little less but not ... read more that bad. If you run several appliances at one time then the pressure goes down even more. I just don't do wash with hot water while I'm showering and that seems to work fine. Overall I'm very happy. I'm saving money and have unlimited hot water. It gets extremely hot so be careful. Hope this helps. Thanks

    worth the buy
Need to have an electrician do the install, hard to find the proper breakers for this. Water takes a minute or so to make it to the variuos facets in the house, but once the hot water comes it's endless. Can even have 2 to 3 areas using hot water and still have suffiecient hot water for a shower.

Wish We Would Have Gotten This Sooner!
Easy to install, works great and we never run out of hot water. It was great to get rid of our old hot water heater/tank and gain some extra storage room. We have had it for 3 weeks and so far so GREAT. Just make sure that you have enough power service to support the unit. We had read all of the reviews prior to purchasing which was a good thing. We were going to purchase the 36 and realized that we only had enough power to support the 29.

    works great
Installation costs more than the water Heater. I knew was going to cost for this first one. had to add four 40 AMP breakers and 4 pairs of wiring. Heats fine. have not had long enough to see effect on electric bill. I am happy with purchase.

saves space, relatively easy to install.
Cool product, saves space and is easy to install if you have enough electrical supply and some skills.

Excellent application for second home that is used periodically

    Great
I have three bathroom and the system is working great. I would recommend. The electric installation is the only issue that I had, you have to hire a electrician to get the new breakers installed.

Be sure this is the unit you really need!
This product works as advertised and is extremely well designed and well made, but may not be what you need. You need to determine how many amps your house is wired for, as this unit will need 150 amps when it draws at maximum (which is only briefly on start-up and at maximum flow). This means your house needs at least 300 amp service and most houses are wired for only 200 amps. Also the published 7 gpm flow rate is based (as is the case with all tankless water heaters regardless of ... read more manufacturer) on heating the incoming water only 35 degrees. Only southern Florida & Texas and the desert areas of the Southwest need that little heat input to get hot water. If you are anywhere else in the US, you will not achieve that flow rate as the water heater will need to add more heat to get your water up to temperature. And most people actually don’t need that kind of flow rate. Check the sizing guide or flow rate chart to make sure this model is the one that will do what you need. You actually might be better off with one of their smaller models.

    Great Purchase
My plumber had no problems installing the unit and my electrician was in and out in less than an hour. It has been working perfectly - hot water at all points when needed.
