    Tankless Hot Water Review
I would reccommend this product to anybody. We purchased this product has a replacment of an older existing tankless system. Important to note, to follow the directions in detail, having a water softner before the system and having the correct gas or lp line to the system is the key. The system has a wonderful safety feature ie. a built in heater to prevent freeze up (excellant) in cold climates. It came with a remote temp. control to be placed in any room of the house to increase or decrease ... read more the water temp. My wife really likes this concept for showers at one temp. and hotter water for washing dishes and clothes. Overall great product.

    Love it
Love this product the water is able to be adjusted to your liking and does not change the temp even when water pump is engaged

    Easy to install, works great!!
It was not bad to install, works really well. I would recommend installing insulation on the pipes to help keep the water warm. It says the max temp on this model is 120 and that was not hot enough for us however when I called tech support to ask about it the lady walked me through how to re-program the thermostat to 140! Plenty hot now!!! Hold the up button till it blinks 140 then press the down button to set it.( don't let off the up button till it's set)

    very nice
Install took a good part of a ay. Of course that includes several trips to the hardware store. Instructions easy to fillow. Would recommend that you have a working knowlege of gas line installation. Called customer service and actually got a person. Helped with a question and was up and running in no time.

    Easy Setup
Since this comes with a power vent it can be install just about anywhere in the house. First I made the holes for the vents and completed the outside installation, followed by mounting the unit on the wall. I did all plumbing work using copper for the water lines and black pipe for the gas. TIP: add a mini Water hammer to the hot water line and Back flow preventer to the cold water. This help with knocking of the pipes when turning on or off the water. I did extra work in the event of having ... read more to flush the entire system by adding two ball valves to allow draining of the hot and cold water lines connected to the drain. Since the system plugs right into the 110 socket there is no need for electric work unless you plan in wiring direct.

    Best tankless water heater
I replace another tankless water heater that was creating problems and seemed unfixable. So far my new Rheem has worked perfectly and I anticipate it will continue to do so.

    Great value for price
This is a great water heater. I have 3 bathrooms and someone in each can shower without running low on hot water. My contractor had trouble locating the vent pipe but the installation went smoothly.

Needed professional instalation, but no problems with instalation.
Provides plenty of hot water. I spent a lot of time comparing different tankless water heaters and reading online instructions and specifications before deciding on this model. My plumber helped with advice on features, such as, ability to vent with PVC, plug-in vs. hard wire, placement, capacity, etc. Worth having professional installation, but must factor in the fee. Took plumber about 12 hours to install (reroute water and gas pipes, vent, remove old water heater).

    Very Happy
Very fast shipping the heater. Very straight forward installation, I liked very much that I didn't need special venting and was able to use 3 inch PVC. It cleared up extra space in my utility room and looks much nicer than the big bulky tank heater too. It doesn't seem to heat the water enough when running the tub or shower, even with the temp turned up, which is strange because the temp stays the same with both tubs are running.

    Easy install and works Great.
3/4" connectors for Gas and Water. Requires a drain close by. The only thing that was confusing on install was that the spacing between the intake and exhaust were different on the Heater and the outside cap. We have 2 bathrooms and it seems to work excellent. Much cheaper to run over the last month then our electric tank water heater, and never runs out!

    tankless water heater
Great instructions. Was very easy to install. It cut my propane consumption by half. Works just as advertised.

    Endless hot water
Very easy to install . But it would have been nice if the instructions showed that you need 2 45's to get the vents close enough together so they match the wall cover.

time for a change to new technology
Glad I had a .75 inch gas line available, because I didn't read the specifications before purchasing this unit but it worked out great. I have a lot of old steel piping in my old house and this unit works well after I increased the water temp to 140. I'm glad I located the unit on the other side of the house because it does make noise with the fan. Careful where you drain the condensing water, I may have hurt one of our plants, a little to acidic. Remember to check the filter. Works great, no ... read more more running out of hot water for the Jacuzzi tub.

Easily installedon exterior walls without having to run a flue or roof penetrations. Only needs a 1-2 ft clearance from eave
Good heater if you don't want to deal with roof penetrations and flues etc. Vent directly to outside. Eave clearances not noted in instructions. Had to call manufacturer to get this info. Otherwise good product for use on exterior walls.

I am no plumber. But I installed it in about two hours. I works great and is extremely quiet.

    Fantastic heater
I purchased the Rheem ECOH200DVLN from Home Depot to replace a Bradford White 48 Gallon Powervent tank unit that started leaking. I have a 4 Bedroom/3 bath house and so far this unit delivers consistent hot water as needed. A can have the washer and two showers running simultaneously without issue. The units fan(which turns on when there is a call for hot water) is much quieter than the power vent on my previous hot water heater. Please note that if purchasing this unit ensure you order the ... read more service valves as well as these are needed to clean the unit on a periodic basis. As this unit requires a 3/4 inch gas line, movement of all water lines and PVC work to vent and provide fresh air I hired a professional to perform the install. I am glad I did so as he spent a day to remove and install the new unit. In short, this unit works well and is a great value at the price point being offered by Home Depot. Yes, labor to install is more than a standard tank, but endless hot water with a longer warranty and space savings is worth it.

    Flawless product
Installed according to directions. Had no issues. Fired up right away. Endless hot water just as advertised. The only complaint is this. On the web page it list additional accessories that you might need is maintenance valves and a vent termination kit. So I ordered both items and the rheem kit came with a bonus vent termination kit for free. So I ended up buying a kit I didn't need. Shipping from Alaska is to expensive to return. Other then that it's perfect. Our water is extremely cold coming ... read more from the ground and I have had no issues with water pressure from this unit.

    Huge Upgrade
Had an on demand unit already but much lower BTU. Water simply wouldn't get that hot in the winter up here in the Northland, even cranked to the highest level. Replaced with this one and now I can't come close to turning this up all the way. Unlimited 125 degree water - that's pretty much all you need to say. The ONLY bummer about the install was that I needed to drill two 3" holes through the cement sill to vent, and had to rent an industrial tool to do that (a buck twenty that I didn't ... read more expect). Everything else is basic plumbing. Oh - buy the accessory flush kit!
