It delivers plenty of hot water.
After doing some research on flow rates, different water heaters, etc., we installed this unit in our pool house with a shower and two sinks with the furthest one being no more than twenty feet away from the unit. It's easy to install if you have the knowledge and it delivers plenty of continuous hot water to each faucet., plus the safety features work. It's on the pricey side but I recommend it.

    awsome water heater!
had to relocate the water heater do to the new tankless heater requiring a 2 layer stainless exaust/fresh air intake line (which is very expensive). but the remote water temp. controller and the constant water temp./pressure compared to our last tankless more than makes up for the added install cost. As far as savings over a tank water heater we're paying 1/3 the monthly gas bill and can take multiple long showers without the water temp. dropping

    great features, even better savings
had no problem with the install. I also purchased the install kit that was recommended by the store associate at the same time I bought the heater. Glad I did. It made the install so much easier. I put a little dab of silicone grease on the O-ring to help keep it in place. I am enjoying PLENTY of hot water along with a lower gas bill!!!

    GAS WATER HEATER
Was skeptical about this unit but it is working great. Very efficient. Haven't seen a great increase on my gas bill.

    Very pleased with this investment
I am a do it yourselfer and this was a day job of removing the old electric low boy heater and converting to gas and installing this unit. The ONLY down side is that the cut off valves had to be purchased seperately from a different retail store.

    Better than a Bosch-Pro Tankless
I have had a Bosch GWH-635-ESO-N for years and wondered what was so good about a tankless water heater. Took a long time to get hot water to the destination, and had cold spots in the hot water line. Started having error codes and would have to reset all of the time, which meant going outside to the unit. My new Rheem has a control panel in the house if I ever need to reset it, I am using much less water because I turn on the hot water tap and get hot water like it is a regular tank unit. I do ... read more not have to heat up my hot water prior to plugging in my portable dishwasher and then keep the water running in another faucet so that it doesn't error out and shut the hot water off. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants to go tankless but was worried about wasting so much water because it sends the hot water to the tap so quickly that I am sure my water bill will go down.

This product works better than expected
Instalation seemed complicated at first but was very simple.Make sure atleast 3/4 piping is ran from the propane tank to the unit and it will work very well.

    A welcome improvement
I bought this heater to replace a faulty and leaking 30gal. tank unit, which had been located in our utility room, along with the washer, dryer, and upright freezer, catbox, hamper.....you get the idea. Not only did this unit provide us with on-demand heated water, it eliminated an entire appliance from the layout of our utility room, allowing for a much greater and more effective use of the space. Sweet! The installation in our case was not for the faint of heart, for it required running gas ... read more piping to the unit, plumbing through the exterior brick wall into an insanely compact section of the crawlspace, running the cable for the remote control box, and running electrical to supply the unit control. I did this myself, which greatly reduced the installation cost, but I know not everyone is able to do that. I live in a small, 40 year old home with a 150 amp service panel, and the electric heaters I looked at required more dedicated current usage than I thought I could supply, and the indoor gas units would require putting significantly sized hole(s) in my brick veneer to accommodate the required vent pipe. This unit provided me with a solution to that and many other questions. I love it!

    So far so good.
Can easily control temp. so kids don't get burned. Saves a lot of space since it's outside. Since I live outside city limits, I use a portable large propane tank to feed this unit. The directions don't cover any installation like this so took a little time to figure that out.

    good purchase
The unit was easy to install and the directions were very complete and helpful

    works great!
The installation was easy even for a do-it-yourselfer like me. We never run out of water, and not heating water in the tank all day is a big money saver.

once you get everything to install it is a snap to install
Product works very well , had to put it at 140 degrees to get the temp my wife wanted. Installation is pretty straight forward, toughest part of this was finding out what parts came with the product and what parts needed to be ordered so actually install it. it took a week of researching and finding where to buy. then it took a week to get the tankless water heater only to find out I needed to order the chimney for it. Warning also if you are replacing a tankless one you may need an adapter ... read more for the gas line to the base of the water heater gas inlet. Product selling could be improved by linking all parts available for this model as accessories you may need when installing. my chimney kit came with a 90 degree elbow to link into the 45 degree inlet to the chimney, I cut it a couple of times and used both ends to fabricate my own elbow as a 45 degree elbow I bought was the wrong angle also. Those two install issues once I had the correct parts went easy, getting there caused a few mumbles and numerous trips to plumbing stores. But I know have hot water again and an endless supply, well unless I run out of propane lol

    Working flawlessly but is loud.
I installed this unit about three weeks ago and it has been working great. This is not my first tankless water heater but it is the first time I have purchased a Rheem. I had been waiting for a model that uses pvc for intake and exhaust when this one finally came onto the market. The water heater appears to be well made and installation went smoothly though this is definitely not a job for a do-it-yourselfer. The only issue I have had with it is that it makes a considerable amount of noise when ... read more running, this is why I am giving it a four star rating. I will probably have to sound-proof my entire utility room to cut down on some of the noise. The noise mainly comes from the blower, Rheem should spend some time developing a blower that is not so loud. Keep this in mind when choosing a location to install this unit in your home.

    very nice
Install took a good part of a ay. Of course that includes several trips to the hardware store. Instructions easy to fillow. Would recommend that you have a working knowlege of gas line installation. Called customer service and actually got a person. Helped with a question and was up and running in no time.

    Easy to install, works great!!
It was not bad to install, works really well. I would recommend installing insulation on the pipes to help keep the water warm. It says the max temp on this model is 120 and that was not hot enough for us however when I called tech support to ask about it the lady walked me through how to re-program the thermostat to 140! Plenty hot now!!! Hold the up button till it blinks 140 then press the down button to set it.( don't let off the up button till it's set)

    Easy Setup
Since this comes with a power vent it can be install just about anywhere in the house. First I made the holes for the vents and completed the outside installation, followed by mounting the unit on the wall. I did all plumbing work using copper for the water lines and black pipe for the gas. TIP: add a mini Water hammer to the hot water line and Back flow preventer to the cold water. This help with knocking of the pipes when turning on or off the water. I did extra work in the event of having ... read more to flush the entire system by adding two ball valves to allow draining of the hot and cold water lines connected to the drain. Since the system plugs right into the 110 socket there is no need for electric work unless you plan in wiring direct.

    Love it
So much better than having a water tank that you have to pay to keep the water hot all the time. This is a good investment.

    This is an EXCELLENT Product
I have been researching Tankless Water Heaters since they first came onto the market. I did not purchase one until I read the specifications on this model, and I was immediately sold. I knew from the very beginning that this product would be difficult to install because of the plumbing involved. I hate plumbing because it requires so many skills to do it. I prefer electronics, but have the skill for doing the necessary plumbing for the installation of this product. The notes on the box were to ... read more say the least just a little scary because they want to make sure that everything should be right before you even open the box to start the install. You tend to get the feeling that you might have purchased a boat anchor if you do not understand the requirements of the product. Otherwise you should hire a professional plumber before you even purchase it. Read the Installation and Owners manual before you purchase this product, and make sure that you understand the installation and requirements if you are going to install it yourself, because the level of difficulty is extreme if you have no experience. I got the product installed, and the natural gas connected. It took a few seconds for the unit to power up, which was a little unsetteling at first, but when it did I was very pleased and impressed with its performance. The reason that I purchased this particular model was the fact that the flow rate to activate the burner was .4gpm which is extremely low. All previous models that I researched were beyond the rate my plumbing would provide. It was also great to vent because it only requires 2 1/2 to 3 inch PVC pipe which can be run out the side of the enclosure and not through the roof. You do have to provide a plastic hose to run into a sewer drain for the condensate because of its acidic properties. The unit activates easily, and is so sensitive that if you turn a faucet on for a second, the unit sees the flow, and powers up the burner. The hot water provided is consistent in temperature, and there is very little depletion in flow if you are running the hot water in a sink, and the washing machene kicks on to fill with hot water. The water stays at the set temp. I would recommend purchasing the next size up of this model if you have a large residence or use tremendous amounts of hot water at the same time as a large family would require. I also added a Uninteruptable Power Supply on the 110v supply because this unit is full of electronics, and I do not want the power company power to cause the circuit board to fry requiring a professional to come and replace it. Also I am going to add an electronic water softner on the cold water input side to eliminate slime and scale from the city water to foul the equipment. All in all, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing this product because from its performance over the last week since I finished installing it have been truly satisfying.

    Works nice
My first experience with a tankless water heater. This unit works nice, no issues. Unfortunately it just got damaged by a lightning strike.

Did not know Hot Water could be so Cool!
There is a lot to do to install a Tankless Hot Water Heater! You need to know your stuff with copper water lines, Natural Gas connections, PVC Exhaust and intake lines and electrical! About the full gamut of DIY challenges. But it really is not that hard once you get into it and follow the instructions. Use of Sharkbite for the Copper connections makes it even easier! Don't forget to order the valves kit that goes with it for water & gas connections to the unit. We love the thing! It has been ... read more in for about 3 weeks and no problems so far!!

    Easy startup
I bought this unit and installed it myself. The unit was easy to mount and connect piping to. The instructions were very thorough and I wasn't confused by them at all. I was replacing a tank-style water heater so I had to rework the gas piping, venting, and hot/cold water lines (soldered copper). Total unit install took me the better part of two days, so make sure you have plenty of time on your hands or else hire a pro. Once everything was installed, I turned the water back on and everything ... read more fired up without any issues.

    Product works well
this tankless water heater works well was easy to install with some pluming now how. My only complaint is this is the second tankless water heater I needed the first one was broke. Clamps where not connected on the inside so I turned the water on and flooded the floor where it was located. I was able to reconnect the clamps but only able to get one of the pipes to seal and stop leaking. So I would suggest opening the cover to just make sure all the parts are connected as they should be
