    Easy install and works Great.
3/4" connectors for Gas and Water. Requires a drain close by. The only thing that was confusing on install was that the spacing between the intake and exhaust were different on the Heater and the outside cap. We have 2 bathrooms and it seems to work excellent. Much cheaper to run over the last month then our electric tank water heater, and never runs out!

Great Product & Great Customer Service
Received the product promptly. The front cover of the unit had a couple dents from shipping & handling. I contacted Home Depot online & they did not hesitate to offer me a gift card & order me a new cover at no charge. The product itself was easy to install for a dedicated DIYer. If your skills are lacking this would be a massive undertaking. Even for an experienced DIYer this was a big project amongst work & family. the water heater performs as expected! No more timing the kids for showers ... read more around the dishwasher, clothes washer, or eachother. No more waiting for more water to heat up, & this unit allows two showers, & a clothes washer to be running at the same time. If you have the money & the know how, this baby is a no brainer! Way more energy efficient as well.

    Good Product
Be aware that it could be noisy when the burner is on. It will depend on where it is installed. In my case it was installed on an interior wall and could hear the burner running when the hot water is turned on in the adjacent room. Also, disregard what Home Depot people online or in the store tells you that it will work with 1/2" gas supply line. I was told the heater will work though less efficient. Not true, water heater will go off with error message. I had to run a dedicated 3/4" gas line ... read more from the meter for it to work. Be aware this is a condensating water heater....so you will need to collect the condensate or have a place for it to drain.

Westinghouse WGRTNG199 Gas Tankless Water Heater
The main reason to choose this Westinghouse water heater because the High GPM + High Efficiency + Low $$$. Since I live in Boston, a MA base company is a big plus. Takes only 10 mins to hung the unit on the wall, operations also simple and straight. Most things are automatic, just plug in turn on and set your temperature, then you're ready to go. The only complain is the loud cooling fan which kicks in every time after the unit shuts down, It's for cool down the Heat Exchanger, last about 3 ... read more mins. Since I installed a system with this Westinghouse water heater and a Combi Boiler w/DHW from another brand, so it's twice louder than the other. But the system is in the basement, it won't bother me at all. I also encountered unstable water temperature during my first use, due to the heater shuts down every 20 seconds then turns back on. After went over the User's Manual, found the unit require a minimum flow rate of 2.3 GPM. Then I changed my shower head from a 2.0 to a 2.5 , and reduces the set temperature to 101F instead of 120F. That I could use the hot water straight without premix to keep the unit running. So far it does its job, no problem. The only question is "How long is it going to last?"

    Quality product
Bought this one (over the Rheem, Noritz, etc) for the efficiency rating, stainless steel internals, and GPM specs. It is comparable in price to similarly rated units and (so far) seems to be a solid, high quality product. Contrary to the other review my unit is quite as a mouse. The sound of the water flowing through the pipes is louder than the unit. I installed it myself about 1 week ago -- so any review under say 1 year is really just an opinion -- but I am satisfied with the purchase. Some ... read more details: - FYI, it took 1 week to ship to me via YPC Freight (I'm in San Diego, it shipped from Bedford, MA) - unit is a bit larger than most, and heavier (probably due to the stainless internals) - mounting bracket is simple to install and level out, very easy to hang the unit onto the mount - gas and water intake/output are readily accessed on the bottom, all 3/4" - I used 3" SCH 40 PVC for the flue. Had to get PVC from a plumbing supply store (not Home Depot, Lowes) - I've tried to max it out by turning on 3 showers simultaneously -- it fed them all no problem... maybe if you hit it with the dishwasher, shower and clothes washer it will max out I will update this review if anything changes. Nice to have hot water again, cheers.

    Great Water Heater!!!
I bought this as a replacement for an electric tank water heater. I love having hot water on demand! With the old heater I would be lucky to fill my tub... but with the tankless I never run out of hot water. I installed the unit myself. I've never installed anything in my home myself before but I decided to give it a try this time. The directions were easy to follow. I had to install new gas line in my home and move the water lines and the electric wires outside to the heater myself. Yes i got ... read more permits and had my work inspected. Not having to also do the venting was a huge plus for me! The only downside for the install was that I had to buy a service valve kit separately and it wasn't cheap or available when I bought the water heater. I had to wait a couple weeks to order it. The wall mounted remote control that came with the water heater was easy to install and worked instantly and is easy to use. Once I had everything installed, I had hot water within 10 minutes.

    Very pleased with this unit.
Replaced an older electric water heater that would run out of hot water after one shower. Due to it's, location it could not be serviced easily. This heater cost me around $400 for installation items. After only one weeks use, my electric bill dropped $15. I expect to recoup my cost in 2 years at this rate. So far it is great in a one bath house, I have had shower and 2 sinks running at the same time with hot water at each. Live in Georgia, so I will not know till winter how the outdoor unit ... read more performs in colder weather.

    Hesitant to try this install
A little hesitant to attempt this install after talking to plumbers but pleasantly surprised that it went well. A little time & patience, a few adjustments and it is working great. Highly recommend if you are comfortable working with gas & water lines. Disappointed that the rebate offered was only available if installed by a licensed contractor (should have read the fine print better!) but still a good value.

    works great!
The installation was easy even for a do-it-yourselfer like me. We never run out of water, and not heating water in the tank all day is a big money saver.

Took 220v 50 gallon of the grid!
The electric was always throwing breakers, and the water would get too hot! I put things off quite well. Got a deal on line for this unit. Had a plumber give me a quote on installing it with me buying it, 650-850 and I buy all materials. This was my first soldering job ever. I also relocated mine, so the cost was probably more then yours will be. I have 1650-1700 in my do it yourself deal. I adjusted the temp down to where it was a good shower temp. 116 works good. No need for hotter. If you are ... read more unsure of soldering, use the "shark bite" connectors and corners. I ran black gas pipe, installed a cut-off, nipple, and completed with 3/4" flex copper pipe. Back to the shark bite items, I used them when I had leaks in my soldering. You do not adjust the water as you bathe, like hot water running low, it just wont happen! Thats why I adjusted as low as I could for a nice shower. I only have hot water when I need it. I do not keep 50 gallons hot on stand by 24/7. It is saving moneyright now doing nothing! Dont be afraid to install it yourself, make the wifey proud! I left my horizontal exhaust about 30" from the house over some shrubs, to keep steam away from siding. Use thin solder wire, melts easier!

    Endless hot water
Nice unit, endless hot water. I have a walk in shower in my master bath with 3 shower heads and I can run them all at the same time with plenty of hot water to spare. No more having to wait 90 minutes for the water heater to recover before someone else can take a shower or bath. On the technical side; the instructions are good, but if you're not a VERY experienced DIY person, hire a contractor. As my previous water heater was electric, I had to add venting ducts, tee into my propane line and ... read more reroute the plumbing. I think it would easily have cost me $1500 to have someone install this for me. Regardless, I love it!

Performance excellent, customer service lower than expected
So far after installing this unit it has performed as advertised. We really can run 3 different facets or appliances at the same time. Water temperature at facet reaches desired temp much quicker than previous tankless heater we replaced. In short, it's a beast to be reconed with and has really sold us on the idea of saving money on our natural gas bills while adding real time value to our home in the event we ever decided to sell, which we won't.

    Tankless Water Heater
installed outdoor style, replaced a Noritz model, works better than the Noritz. Will take two people to mount, its heavy, used molly bolts to secure.

Easily installedon exterior walls without having to run a flue or roof penetrations. Only needs a 1-2 ft clearance from eave
Good heater if you don't want to deal with roof penetrations and flues etc. Vent directly to outside. Eave clearances not noted in instructions. Had to call manufacturer to get this info. Otherwise good product for use on exterior walls.

I am no plumber. But I installed it in about two hours. I works great and is extremely quiet.

    Very pleased with this investment
I am a do it yourselfer and this was a day job of removing the old electric low boy heater and converting to gas and installing this unit. The ONLY down side is that the cut off valves had to be purchased seperately from a different retail store.

    Better than a Bosch-Pro Tankless
I have had a Bosch GWH-635-ESO-N for years and wondered what was so good about a tankless water heater. Took a long time to get hot water to the destination, and had cold spots in the hot water line. Started having error codes and would have to reset all of the time, which meant going outside to the unit. My new Rheem has a control panel in the house if I ever need to reset it, I am using much less water because I turn on the hot water tap and get hot water like it is a regular tank unit. I do ... read more not have to heat up my hot water prior to plugging in my portable dishwasher and then keep the water running in another faucet so that it doesn't error out and shut the hot water off. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants to go tankless but was worried about wasting so much water because it sends the hot water to the tap so quickly that I am sure my water bill will go down.

Love it, still had hot water after 3 people finished showering. Arrived before they predicted. Need to buy cut-off valves for hot & cold water, pressure relief valve, cpvc with elbows for making turn and running lines and small amount of electrical wire to hook up the thermostat. Did it ourselves!!!! Pollie

    Best invention since slice bread
This product works better than my old electric water heater ever did. Water does not get cold even if all 3 showers are working at the same time.

Great product- works like it should.
Once installed, all was great. I had Home Depot refer installation to a local plumber. Let's say craftsmanship was lacking by installer. I recommend asking installer what their game plan is and do they have all materials needed to complete job. This guy used old scrap wood from my yard to install unit.
