    Anode
Good quality, easy to replace it is long need to bend and slowly straighten as entry into tank.

    Great Value
It used to be that it was very difficult to find an anode rod. Not any more... This one was easy to find, and a better value than I saw almost any where else. Thanks, HD!

Good value, cheaper than a new water heater
Old anode was just a 'pipe cap' - completely gone. And, it came out easier than expected. Problem is that I tried to buy two more of these anodes and HD was out of stock! So much for a good deal. this aluminum anode bent easily - necessary because the ceiling was closer than the anode rod length - and slid into the water heater after bending straight as it went in.

    Connected Hot Water Heater
After getting some outlandish quotes for installation of a new hot water heater, we decided to do it ourselves. After shopping around, we found these Sharkbite connectors (with ball valves). I ordered them online, because none of the local stores have them. Shipping was a bit expensive, but we needed hot water and were willing to pay for it. After disconnecting, cutting, and draining the old pipes, the new connectors went on without a hitch. We left a few inches of copper from the old pipes for ... read more the new connectors to grab. Have had no leaks or issues in a month or more. Will be interested to see how these hold-up long term. The valves are hard to turn, and may need to unscrewed to shut-off.

Easy to install and worth the price...no need to have disconnect tool unless you want to move the part
I have used Sharkbites (including the ball valve) all over my property with no issues. One reviewer was upset because they thought they needed the disconnect tool to install Sharkbites. Not so. You only need it if you want to remove a part you already have installed. The only issue I have had is trying to install a fitting over pipe that has held frozen water. The water permanently expanded the pipe so the Sharkbite would not slide over it easily. Would have had this problem with any copper ... read more fitting as well. My solution was to sand down the pipe to reduce its diameter. Love this product! Bye-bye expensive plumber!

    plumbers beware
These things are awesome. They're going to put plumbers out of business soon

    Excellant Product
Excellant product. Very easy to install. Almost no chance of error. I used this product during the installation of a water softener. The Shark Bite fittings are incredibly easy to use. It's nearly impossible to improperly install the fitting. The installation took only seconds and is leak free. I used this fitting with PEX pipe. I did the rest of the job using standard PEX fittings and compression rings. In hindsight, I would have used Shark Bite fittings for the entire project even dispite the higher cost.

    makes it so easy
not much to say other than it is much easier to install a shark bite than to resolder pipes...I've never had a leak and I've been using these for water heaters, softeners, and filters.

    no leaks
Bought two for water softener. They worked great. Simple to install no leaks look good. Saved time cutting and sweating pipes. Plus they are flexible. Only reason i give for stars is because they are expensive. They should have been included with my new GE softener. Anyway they are very good quality. They made life easier.

This product will save you from hiring a plumber
I love shark bite. They are the best thing since sliced bread. The is no need to solder, just cut your pipe to the correct length and push together. They are a bit pricey but a plumber is a lot more. That's if you can get one to do a small job. Thanks shark bite

Good one and strongly recommend it
Not an issue. Used it to connect to my new Gas-water heater (Rheem) that I had installed it recently. The flexibility of this piece makes the connection all the more simpler connecting between two pipes that are not in straight line.

    good price
using these to hook up a hot water tank was a breeze the price wasn't bad if you compare to a copper fitting (the price for a copper fitting to hook up to a tank is super inflated because they know you have to buy them) this is only a few dollars more than one fitting and no sodering hooked up my new tank in less than 1/2 hour

The extra coating on the element is best in hard water areas.
This product is easy to install and works great. Best for customers with tenants.

Does what it says it will do
Be careful water will come out when replacing. Easy install works well after 2 months.

Easy to install lower hot water heater element
I experienced a problem of no hot water form my domestic electric hot water heater. The majority of the time the lower element is defective. If you run out of hot water, normally the upper element is defective. When replacing your lower element, buy the best one you can since this element is subject to the sediment that builds up on the bottom of the tank and can fully encase the element causing it to over heat and fail. First turn the circuit breaker off to the hot water heater at the main ... read more electrical panel. Use a voltage tester to check power at water heater before starting. Turn cold water off to tank, then hook up hose to the drain at bottom of heater and open valve to drain to nearby sump pump. I have seen these drain valves fully blocked with sediment, not allowing water heater to drain. if so, you will need to use compressed air and insert it in the outlet of hose to blow back the sediment. Keep hose end near the drain pit for when the hose starts to drain. Once heater starts draining, open the relief valve to allow air to enter and speed up the draining of heater. If water comes out of the relief drain when you manually open it, wait a few minutes for the tank to drain down past the relief, then try again. once empty, use socket tool you can buy to unscrew 'counterclockwise' till it comes out. Using a flashlight look into hole at bottom of tank to check for amount of sediment. If there is sediment, reattach hose and open water valve to tank and allow water to flush out sediment. If sediment doesn't flush I have used a shop vac rigged with small diameter hose to fit in element hole and clean it out. once sediment is cleaned out, screw in element and reattach two wires to element;'it doesn't matter if you switch the wires, it will work either way as it is 220 volt. Close tank valve and open water valve; let it fill. Bleed air from hot water faucets before you turn on hot water elements, then you can turn power back on to heater and you are done.

great concept - but volume of alert may be a little low
This is a low energy consumption device that takes a 9-volt battery and easily last over 6 months, perhaps even more than a year with a fresh 9-volt alkaline battery. I had been using a rechargeable one, and after 4 plus months, the battery appeared to have at least 75% power left. Thinking it may have not been working (I left it next to the water heater), I tested it and it did in fact work - the beeping is not as loud as a smoke detector, but if the house is quiet, I could probably hear it in ... read more the basement. If you paired this up with an internet-of-things sound detector, it would be a great combination. There is two metal contacts on the bottom. So if water that has spilled, hits both metal contacts, it will create a circuit making the alarm go off.

    Reuseable water leak alarm
After a few water leaks I decided leak detectors are needed in a few apartments I own. These beep when the battery is low which I wanted but these may not work in some areas like under the sink when storage is packed in layers deep (might cover the speaker). I had a leak under my sink two days after I installed it and I don't have storage packed layers deep but the alarm was not as loud as I expected yet I was able to hear it. If it had items on top of it like my tenants often do it may not be audible.

    best purchase ever
How easy is installing batteries and placing them where needed. I live in a condo and any water damage is my responsibility this is the best way to save my investment

    Feature rich. Excellent quality.
The service valve kit is a very high quality set, which allows for a quick and easy way to isolate the heater system from the rest of the plumbing and simultaneously open the ports for system flushing/descaling; very handy during servicing of the unit. Installation is a breeze. Eliminated the need for pipe unions.

    Worth the extra expense !
Definetly worth the extra expense. Will make things much easier when it comes to the annual maintenance of flushing and servicing of the unit.

    Tankless Hotwater Heater Valves
Easy installation. The hot water side was a little tricky to get a good seal on the threads.

    Installation was a breeze.
My old expansion tank sprung a leak. After I turned off the circuit breaker and main water and did some quick online homework, I purchased this tank as a replacement. I also purchased a water pressure tester, which you have to use to install the tank. Installation was very easy, requiring a bicycle air pump, tire pressure gauge to check your inflation, teflon tape, and a large wrench. This is handy info for someone who has to do an emergency repair like I did.

Solved my hot water heater T & P Valve leak problem
My Temp & Pressure valve on my hot water heater would leak after using a lot of hot water, such as after a bath or shower. I replaced the valve and it still leaked. After doing some research on the problem, I determined it to be thermal expansion and purchased this product. After installation it solved my problem, no more leak.

Solves relief valve leaks from hot water expansion.
After installing our new hot water heater (from Home Depot). I saw that when the tank heated the water, expansion of the water occurred, causing the relief valve to leak water. I installed a water expansion tank and the problem was solved. This also added a surprised second fix. . .. . the water pipes would knock when the toilets would shut off, this reduced that noise, sometimes eliminating it completely. . . cool. Follow the directions, air the tank prior to installation, to what your water ... read more pressure is. . . See the photo of our installation. . .as you scroll over the photo you will notice we were restricted on room - but it worked nicely.
